This study aims to describe the speaking skills of learners who have speech delay barriers in elementary school. Qualitative research methods of case studies. Child research subjects who had speech delaybarriers. Data collection techniques in the form of oral tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. Instruments in the form of oral tests with the form of story texts and instruments in the form of interview question guides and observation guides. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed that learners with speech delay barriers had speech skills that were still less seen from the language and non-language aspects. This is due to individual factors of quiet speech delay learners and lack of confidence, family genetic factors that make learners experience speech delay, and environmental factors that makestudents' social interactions limited. Efforts applied in improving speech delay learners' speaking skills are using concrete learning media in the form of images, applying drill methods and question and answer methods, and providing motivation.

The teacher's role is important in increasing students' reading interest, this is because students tend to prefer playing with peers rather than reading books, especially in today's modern era students use mobile phones. At online times like this, students use cellphones more often so students prefer to play games on cellphones and play tik tok rather than reading. The purpose of this study was to describe the teacher's role in increasing the reading interest of grade 3 students at SD Negeri 42 Pekanbaru, to describe the teacher's obstacles in increasing the reading interest of grade 3 students at SD Negeri 42 Pekanbaru. This research method uses descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were third grade homeroom teachers and school principals. Collecting data using observation, interview and documentation techniques. The results of this study indicate that the role of teachers as creators, facilitators, motivators, evaluators and dynamicators is very important to increase the reading interest of elementary school students because teachers guide, encourage and monitor students. The obstacle is that the teacher still has not carried out several teacher roles such as the teacher has not carried out the teacher's role as a creator, the teacher's role as an evaluator, the teacher's role as a dynamist completely, this is due to the limited face-to-face learning, for the teacher's role as a facilitator and the teacher's role as a motivator. seems to have been done

AbstractThis study is aimed at obtaining a comprehensive picture of the effect of DRTA and KWL strategies on reading comprehension ability in terms of students' reading interest. The background of this research is the low interest and ability of students in understanding the content of reading materials. The sample in this study are fourth grade students at Kananga Elementary School, Jatinangor District, Sumedang Regency. The method used is Factoral Design Two Factor Experiment. The instruments used are reading comprehension test and reading interest questionnaire. The results of the study can be explained as follows: 1) The use of DRTA and KWL strategies are categorized as quite effective, which can be seen from the N-Gain test scores of 64.02% and 64.97%. 2) Based on the Test of Between Subject Effect output, the sig value is 0.424 > 0.05, which can be concluded that there is no significant difference between reading comprehension skills in terms of students' reading interest. It means that students' reading interest has no effect on reading comprehension ability. Students who have low reading interest do not necessarily have low reading skills, and vice versa. 3) The calculation of the two-way ANOVA regarding the interaction effect between reading strategies and reading interest on reading comprehension ability, obtained a sig value of 0.026 < 0.05, which can be concluded that there is an interaction effect between learning strategies and reading interest on improving students' reading comprehension skills.
