FIGS (FICUS CARICA L.): CULTIVATION METHOD AND PRODUCTION BASED IN MALAYSIA 无花果(ficus carica 1 .):栽培方法和生产以马来西亚为基础

Ficus (Moraceae) is a tree or shrub natively originated from East Asia countries such as Middle East and Turkey. However, determination of the most suitable cultivation method in Malaysia has becoming one of the major concerns in figs industry. This is because figs can be easily found in cold and temperate regions compared to the equator regions. Therefore, this paper will discuss on the method of figs cultivation and its production based on the market demands in Malaysia. Simple propagation methods such as cutting, and layering are the most recommended method used for cultivating the fig trees. As for the production, figs are mainly processed as food such as jam, tea, dipping sauce, spaghetti sauce and dried processed food or available fresh. It is also used in traditional medicine as it is claimed to be good remedies in treating severe health problem such reducing blood

MODELLING OF DEPOSITION AND EROSION PROCESSES ALONG A 180° OPEN CANAL BEND BY NAYS2DH IN iRIC 模拟沉积和侵蚀过程沿180°开放运河弯曲由nys2dh在爱尔兰

This paper presents experiments and computer simulation for the erosion and deposition processes along a 180° open canal bend. The computer simulation is conducted by Nays2DH model in iRIC software. The models are conducted with the curvature's radius ratio (Ø/L) varies within 3.0 to 8.5. Experiments produced that the erosion and deposition actions decrease as Ø/L increases. The minimal erosion and deposition are detected at (Ø/L =8.5). The optimum place of a bridge circular support along the bend is defined. The results of Nays2DH Model are compared with tests. RSQ for the modelled statuses is 88.329% and the correlation factor between simulations and the gauged depths is 93.98%.
本文对运河180°开放弯道的侵蚀和沉积过程进行了实验和计算机模拟。在iRIC软件中采用Nays2DH模型进行计算机仿真。模型的曲率半径比(Ø/L)在3.0 ~ 8.5范围内进行。实验结果表明,随着Ø/L的增大,侵蚀和沉积作用减小。在(Ø/L =8.5)处检测到最小侵蚀和沉积。确定了桥梁环形支座沿弯道的最佳位置。nys2dh模型的计算结果与试验结果进行了比较。模拟状态的RSQ值为88.329%,模拟结果与实测深度的相关系数为93.98%。

A STUDY ON USE OF RICE HUSK ASH IN CONCRETE 稻壳灰在混凝土中的应用研究

In the present investigation, a feasibility study is made to use Rice Husk Ash as an admixture to an already replaced Cement with fly ash (Portland Pozzolana Cement) in Concrete, and an attempt has been made to investigate the strength parameters of concrete (Compressive and Flexural). For control concrete, IS method of mix design is adopted and considering this a basis, mix design for replacement method has been made. Five different replacement levels namely 5%, 7.5%, 10%, 12.5% and 15% are chosen for the study concern to replacement method. Large range of curing periods starting from 3days, 7days, 28days and 56days are considered in the present study.
