Outage Performance of Inter-UAVs THz-Link under Composite Fading Channels 复合衰落信道下无人机间太赫兹链路的中断性能

In this letter, outage probability of terahertz (THz) link between two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is analytically and numerically investigated. Composite fading statistical model is developed considering joint effects of multipath fading, angle of arrival (AoA), and pointing-errors. The derived expression for outage probability is used to illustrate the misleading results in case of neglecting UAV antenna orientation fluctuations. In addition, effect of antenna half power beam width (HPBW) on maximum achievable link length under constraint of threshold outage probability is numerically investigated. Derived expression is validated by comparing analytical results with Monte Carlo (MC) simulation and they show high degree of agreement.

A robust Segmentation Model-based Fuzzy Swarm Intelligence and Logistic Chaotic Map for Hepatic CT Focal Lesion Segmentation 基于模糊群智能和Logistic混沌映射鲁棒分割模型的肝脏CT病灶分割

Computed tomography (CT) scans of the liver and hepatic lesions must be segmented in order to diagnose liver abnormalities precisely and reduce the likelihood of liver surgery. In this study, a dynamic hybrid model is proposed for the automatic identification and segmentation of hepatic lesions from CT scans. More specifically, a powerful optimization model for accuracy, speed, and optimal convergence based on kernel fuzzy c-means (FCM), chaotic map, and antlion optimization (ALO) algorithm for automatic hepatic focal lesion segmentation is proposed; named (CALO-FCM). In order to achieve the best cluster centroids and produce more accurate segmentation results, ALO is employed to guide FCM. By balancing exploration and exploitation rates, the performance of ALO is improved in terms of local minima avoidance and convergence speed. It might be argued that the CALO improves computational performance and prevents the FCM from becoming trapped in local minima. The proposed model shows good detection and segmentation outcomes on a set of patients with abdominal liver CT when compared to other methods. Additionally, the experimental findings demonstrated that the proposed model could locate the ideal centroids and avoid the local optima issue. This new hybrid model may lead to an earlier and more accurate clinical diagnosis of a hepatic lesion, assisting medical professionals in their judgement and enabling patients to receive an earlier prognosis.

Design of Beamforming Phased Array Antenna for 5G Communication 面向5G通信的波束形成相控阵天线设计

In this paper, a 2×4 beamforming phase-shifting antenna array is designed for the Sub-6 GHz N77 (3.3 GHz4.2 GHz) frequency band. The array consists of 8 square FR4 material antennas connected by feed lines and 44-bit digital phase shifters. From the analysis results of the network analyzer, it can be seen that when the center frequency is 4GHz, the return loss is -14.36dB, which is lower than the standard threshold of -10dB. When the main beam angle is offset by 15°, the maximum gain is 8.03 dB; when the main beam angle is offset by -15°, the maximum gain is 7.25 dB.

Performance Analysis of a Wilkinson Power Combiner-Fed Patch Antenna for 300-GHz Arrayed Photomixers 用于300 ghz阵列光混合机的Wilkinson功率组合馈电贴片天线性能分析

We analyzed the performance of a microstrip patch antenna fed by a 2 by 1 Wilkinson power combiner at 300 GHz. Simulation results show that a 2.54 dB gain in total radiated power can be achieved when the Wilkinson power combiner is used to feed the antenna compared to a single-port power feed. Results further show that the combiner provides a good isolation of -21.5 dB between the input ports. Additionally, the peak power in the +z (theta =0) direction for both xz and yz planes increases by 4.8 dB.

Reinforcement Learning Based Technique for Interference Management in UAV Aided HetNets 基于强化学习的无人机辅助HetNets干扰管理技术

In this paper, we consider the sum rate maximization problem in a downlink unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) assisted heterogeneous networks (HetNets) to mitigate existing interference. We propose to manage the interference by jointly optimizing the position of the UAV as well as power allocation. The proposed optimization problem is non-convex due to the non-linearity in the objective function and the constraints. We propose a near-optimal solution that breaks down the problem into two consecutive problems. First, we proposed a reinforcement learning-based technique to solve the UAV positioning problem. Then, a particle swarm optimization (PSO) based technique is applied to the power allocation problem. Simulation results demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed algorithm.

Developing Smart Control Platoon Algorithm for Secure VANET Environment 面向安全VANET环境的智能控制排算法研究

A vehicular ad hoc network (VANET) is a part of smart transportation. As a result of the vehicles being able to communicate with one another and share sensitive information, it is necessary to have an environment that can be trusted. Vehicles are clustered into platoons to ensure the secure transfer of information between them and select the platoon head of each platoon to control the vehicles. This paper proposes a smart control platoon system employing local and global trust schemes among vehicles in order to establish a secure environment. The platoon head calculates the local trust in each vehicle in the platoon. This allows the platoon head to authenticate trustworthy vehicles and prevent access to untrusted vehicles. In contrast, global trust is applied in the procedure of establishing the trust for the individual platoon.

Fast Fourier Transform based Method for Accident Detection 基于快速傅立叶变换的事故检测方法

Accidents fatality is generally dependent on the time an emergency service is dispatched to the accident scene. Decreasing this time requires fast and accurate accident detection and notification systems. Therefore, existing well-established systems rely on rugged devices, with specialised hardware and accurate sensors to allow for in-vehicle detection and notification. Smartphones have been considered as an alternative mainly due to their much lower cost. In this paper, we show that reliable accident detection can be achieved using main stream smartphone sensors (e.g., accelerometer and gyroscope). The method relies on detecting the accident pulse through using Fourier transform and a random forest classifier. The method also utilises a moving window to incorporate time; and is simple enough to allow for during-accident detection, not requiring the mobile to survive the accident. We have validated the model using the Ollie car-like robot micro accident-testbed and the gold standard in accident simulation, LS-DYNA, achieving a true positive rate of about 96% and true negative rate of 99%.

Secrecy Outage Probability of Full-Duplex Relaying Vehicular Networks 全双工中继车辆网络的保密中断概率

This paper investigates the secrecy performance of full-duplex cooperative vehicular relaying networks under passive eavesdropping attacks in the presence of co-channel interference. In the considered system model, a static source communicates with a static destination through a mobile full-duplex relay in the presence of a mobile passive eavesdropper and a static co-channel interferer. A closed-form expression for the exact secrecy outage probability of the system is derived for the Nakagami-m fading environment. Hence, the asymptotic secrecy outage probability is obtained at high signal-to-noise values. Numerical and Simulation results are obtained to validate the derived analytical expressions.

In the considered system model, a static source communicates with a static destination through a mobile full-duplex relay in the presence of a mobile passive eavesdropper and a static co-channel interferer. A closed-form expression for the exact secrecy outage probability of the system is derived for the Nakagami-m fading environment. Hence, the asymptotic secrecy outage probability is obtained at high signal-to-noise values. On-Edge Driving Maneuvers Detection in Challenging Environments from Smartphone Sensors 基于智能手机传感器的边缘驾驶机动检测

Traffic fatalities are increasing in developing countries where there are few investments in road safety. Culture and road conditions also affect driving habits. Therefore, automatic detection and reporting of driver behavior to concerned entities can potentially save lives. In particular, we analyze a driving maneuvers dataset collected from one environment (country) but tested in another environment with aggressive driving habits and irregular road conditions. We also develop an on-edge system with fast response time to serve users on a large scale. Specffically, we propose an approach for detecting aggressive and normal events using random forest classifier. We utilize the accelerometer and gyroscope smartphone readings to classify driving maneuvers events to five types (aggressive acceleration, suddenly break, aggressive turn right, aggressive turn left, and normal). We achieved an accuracy of only 63.4% by training our model on an available dataset collected from a foreigner environment and tested on our environment. The lowest precision value was 54% while the lowest recall was 42%. However, we achieved an accuracy of 98.4% when augmenting an available dataset with data collected with our application. The lowest precision value was 98% while the lowest recall was 90%. From the results, it is shown that the available datasets do not generalize well to different driving habits and road conditions. Finally, an implementation of the random forest model using OpenCV on an Android platform is analyzed.

Proposal of a Pre-equalizer with Nyquist Filtering to Mitigate LED Nonlinearity in PAM-4 VLC Systems 利用奈奎斯特滤波的预均衡器缓解PAM-4 VLC系统中LED的非线性

Visible light communication (VLC) systems are widely considered for adoption in the upcoming sixth-generation (6G) systems. This is because they provide a power-efficient, noncomplex, unlicensed frequency band, safe, and secure solution for data transmission. High data rates up to gigabit per second have been achieved in research over the past years using VLC. However, in order to achieve high data rates in such systems utilizing light emitting diodes (LEDs) already in the infrastructure, it is crucial to mitigate its impairments such as limited frequency response (tens of MHz bandwidth) and nonlinearity. In this paper, a novel transmitter system is proposed to compensate for the two main limitations in LED-based VLC systems. Different pulse shaping Nyquist filtering techniques are applied to minimize inter-symbol interference (ISI) caused by the LED's small modulation bandwidth. Additionally, a preequalizer is presented to alleviate LED nonlinearity. Results show an overall linear transmission and a significant enhancement in symbol-error rates (SER). Moreover, out-of-band side lobes are successfully suppressed, thus requiring smaller bandwidth for signal transmission without loss of information.
