With the decrease in COVID-19 cases in Indonesia, learning activities are expected to return to normal in the new academic year 2022/2023. To increase the interest and motivation of civil engineering students, a student-centered approach is needed in theory-practicum learning. Scientific learning approach was implemented to increase students’ motivation and learning outcomes of Civil Engineering students after the Covid-19 Pandemic. This study is class action research conducted at Politeknik Negeri Ketapang with 29 samples. The scores of learning interest, learning motivation, and learning outcomes were analyzed by comparing student scores with the KKM (Minimum Completeness Criteria) score and making a percentage of class completeness. In cycle I, the completeness of student motivation and interest in learning was still less than 50%, so it was continued to cycle II, and at the end of cycle II, motivation and interest in learning still had not reached 50%, then the cycle was continued. At the end of cycle III, it was found that motivation and interest in learning were 68.97% and 79.31%, respectively. In addition to motivation and interest in learning, researcher also compared it with student learning outcomes in each cycle. It was found that, on average, the number of students who completed the percentage of completeness and the minimum and maximum scores for student learning outcomes also increased in each cycle. So, it can be concluded that the scientific approach can improve learning interest, learning motivation, and learning outcomes through classroom action research.

This study was prompted by students' lack of interest in reading and literacy abilities in Indonesia. In 2015, Indonesia ranked 62 out of 76 countries in the PISA survey. The government created the School Literacy Movement (SLM) program in 2016, in response to students' low literacy scores and reading interest. The government expects that this program will increase reading enthusiasm in Indonesia. The objective of this study was to investigate the impact of the SLM on students' reading interest. The method utilized is a literature research or review. A literature study is a research design used to collect data sources on a certain topic. As the stage of searching for literary sources, data collecting for the study of literature is carried out using a database search tool. This research is conducted by synthesizing conceptual or empirical articles pertinent to the study to be conducted. It begins with the analysis of articles pertinent to the topic to be reviewed, this entails discussing and reviewing the articles by identifying and classifying them based on the elements to be reviewed from multiple articles that discuss essentially the same subject. According to the papers discovered and evaluated, the school literacy movement has a positive role on students' reading interest, this is proven by the increase of library visits, the increase in problem-solving skills in the learning process, the increase in students' capacity to write Wall Print Magazines, and the increase in the number of students who read before class. As a result, it can be inferred that SLM has a role in enhancing children's interest in reading through various school-based programs and activities.

Islamic boarding schools are institutions where students live who are not accompanied by their parents in their daily lives. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of parental education on the learning abilities of students living in Islamic boarding schools. This research uses a quantitative approach with the research subjects being Islamic boarding school-based junior high school students in Garut, Tasikmalaya Regency and City, West Java, Indonesia. The sample used was 161 students consisting of 63 students from class 1, 57 people from class 2 and 41 people from class 3 MTs (Junior High schools). Data analysis used the Multivariate Analysis of Variance (Manova). The results of the analysis show that there is a significant effect between parents' educational background on the ability to learn Mathematics, Indonesian and Arabic. Meanwhile, for English and science subjects, parents' educational background does not have a significant effect. Even though there is no effect, in general the educational background of bachelor’s parents has a better comparison across all subjects. Differences appear in the subjects of English, Science, Mathematics and Indonesian, where the junior high school education background is much better than the high school education. Meanwhile, for Arabic subjects, the results of the analysis show that the educational background of elementary school parents is better than high school.

This study investigates the similarities and differences of perceptions of teachers and students, examines the issue of academic integrity, and explores the potential for incorporating AI writing correction tools into language teaching and learning. Eighteen lecturers and thirty-nine graduate students were asked to respond to a closed- and open-ended questionnaire to answer the research questions. The sample was collected from the TESOL program at St. Andrews University's International Education Institute. The questionnaire was analysed using Qualtrix to see the patterns from the Likert scale, and thematic analysis was utilized to anticipate the identified themes from the open-ended questionnaire. The findings show that teachers and students have various opinions about using AI writing correction tools in a classroom setting, with some similarities and differences. Interestingly, the majority of teachers and students did not regard the use of AI writing correction tools as a violation of academic integrity. Furthermore, there was a conflicting view among teachers about integrating AI writing correction tools in the classroom. Meanwhile, most students agreed that AI writing could be integrated into teaching and learning.

Modern commentators and intellectuals have begun to explore studies that link the position of humans and plants as a unity of living things created by God's holy creation. Generally, when talking about ecology, humans are used as the main character in caring for nature. Many verses in the Qur’an talk about how the human spirit is metaphorized with ecological elements. As a religious principle, Islam describes monotheism as a syajarah thayyibah whose roots reach the ground and its branches reach the sky (QS: 14:24). This research is qualitative descriptive-analytical research. Researchers will collect data related to this research. Furthermore, the data was analyzed to find a solution with the Maqashidi Interpretation method then relate it to how ecological ethics lives in Islamic education. This research focuses on QS. Al-Fatihah: 1 and Ar-Rum: 30. The result of this research show that the redaction of rabb al-'alamin in QS. Al-Fatihah shows the closeness between Rabb and 'alamin. On the other hand, the Qur’an explains that natural damage occurs due to human activities (QS.30:41). The implied meaning in the two verses is that humans, nature, and other creatures need each other and are encouraged to respect each other. An understanding of comprehensive ecological verses will have a good effect on ecological ethics in the world of Islamic education. The educational process provides knowledge about how nature works and how to interact with the natural world. The growing eco-Islamic movement utilises Islamic educational institutions, both traditional and modern as centres of environmental learning and teaching. The Islamic educational landscape remains essential in broadcasting environmental narratives that present ethical and educational visions relevant to contemporary ecological movements.

Over the course of a decade, digital storytelling (DST) has earned a growing amount of attention as a strong instructional resource that has grabbed the interest of scholars. Digital storytelling (DST) has emerged as a promising pedagogical approach that could help moderate the usefulness of media in the classroom. Myriad studies have demonstrated the positive effects of digital storytelling (DST) on the students’ language skills; however, these studies rarely include ESL students and their realistic depictions of everyday basis. To address the void, this quantitative study aimed to survey ESL students' point of view of DST-based task on speaking classroom. Relying on Anwar's (2016) TBLT approach instruction, the current study involving thirty-four students studying at Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, Malaysia. The statistical evidence indicated ESL students perceive the implementation of digital storytelling-based tasks improves their motivation while allowing them to develop ideas and collaborate among groupmates. Implications and recommendations for future studies are discussed.

The government's biggest concerns are multifaceted unemployment and poverty. Unemployment and poverty are inextricably linked to social, cultural, and political challenges, as well as educational quality. Young people are one of the most important contributors. This phenomenon is a significant challenge for various stakeholders. Efforts are being made to encourage the entrepreneurial spirit, significantly changing the mindset of young people and job seekers. The role of education must be adequately maximized through the transformation of the student learning curriculum system. Entrepreneurship education is crucial to explain the variables of student motivation in developing an entrepreneurial spirit. Therefore, researchers are committed to analyzing how the role of entrepreneurship education implemented at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Mataram University (FEB UNRAM) campus, especially for economics and management students. This study uses a type of quantitative research. Researchers use a questionnaire given to the research sample respondents for the data collection technique. The data analysis method used is the linear regression analysis method using the IBM SPSS Statistics software. The results of the study indicate that there is a significant influence between entrepreneurship education on students' entrepreneurial motivation. The calculated results show this (3.291) > stable (1.65), then the t coefficient is significant so that Ha is accepted.

Humans are an important element in discussing all kinds of aspects and problems. Because humans occupy these positions (conceptors and administrators). In the world of human education as the main actor or actor. All aspects and tasks are carried out by humans. The meaning of life is important to be reviewed in the world of education. So the purpose of writing this paper is to understand and describe human existence and the meaning of life as an alternative philosophical solution to the problems of multidimensional education. This research includes library research, namely research that focuses on the discussion of the literature in the form of books, journals, papers, and other writings related to the object of research. Understanding human existence in education by understanding the position of humans in various educational factors (humans as educators, humans as students and education managers) should be an afterthought. If you look specifically at the existence of humans as educators, a common thread can be drawn that an educator must be able to be a role model (teacher-to be nurtured and imitated) for students and able to protect the situation of the teaching and learning process in order to pour and teach science to humans called learners. On the other hand, humans as students are also required to fulfill a code of ethics in studying. The world of education, apart from being an institution that develops intellectual abilities, also strives for the formation of character qualities that can be seen from the mindset and attitude patterns, students' perceptions of their life experiences, and faith in God which in turn will also affect the meaning of students' lives. Meaning is the most basic thing that distinguishes humans from animals.

The lack of understanding of the benefits of traditional games for children's growth and development is the background of research, thus causing the extinction of traditional games from the community. In fact, traditional games have many benefits for children's growth and development, especially games played outside the home. Besides being played in the community, traditional games can also be used as learning media for children at school. However, this has not been done much because traditional games are still limited to local content where the implementation is returned to the school concern. The purpose of this study was to develop a prototype curriculum based on the traditional game of marbles to develop the growth and development of early childhood. This study uses a qualitative approach and the research method used is Design Based Research (DBR). The research instrument is the researcher and the participant. The steps taken in data analysis in this study were data reduction (organizing data), data display (making detailed descriptions), and conclusion drawing/verification (interpreting and drawing conclusions). In fact, traditional games have many benefits for children's growth and development, especially games played outside the home. Besides being played in the community, traditional games can also be used as learning media for children at school. However, this has not been done much because traditional games are still limited to local content where the implementation is returned to the school concern. The purpose of this study was to develop a prototype curriculum based on the traditional game of marbles to develop the growth and development of early childhood. This study uses a qualitative approach and the research method used is Design Based Research (DBR). The research instrument is the researcher and the participant. The steps taken in data analysis in this study were data reduction (organizing data), data display (making detailed descriptions), and conclusion drawing/verification (interpreting and drawing conclusions). The result of this research is the development of learning tools in the form of RPPH (daily lesson implementation plan) based on the traditional game of marbles.","PeriodicalId":32844,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Tatsqif","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47313270","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
