The relevance of the article. Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem is one of the most performed works of this genre in contemporary music practice. It is addressed in concert performances, scientific research and conducting classes. However, it still remains semi-closed for understanding, because the composer’s attitude to death in this work reaches unexpectedly extreme emotions — he declares almost the desirability of death. The purpose is to substantiate the own performing concept of the Requiem by Gabriel Fauré on the basis of contextual, textual and comparative analysis of the musical material, as well as biographical and psychological analysis of the composer’s personality. The methodology. The research was carried out using an integrated approach, in the structure of which the contextual analysis allowed to establish the creative intentions of G. Fauré to write such a Requiem, the textual analysis helped to determine the specifics of certain structures and semantic content of the work, the comparative analysis — to compare the concepts of different versions of the Requiem of Fauré, the method of intonation analysis — to dive into the sign system of the work. The results. The author proposed her own performance concept of the work, which takes into account the composer’s religious and philosophical guidelines, as well as his psychological characteristics against the background of the events of the Franco-Prussian War. The scientific novelty. For the first time, the study provides a detailed analysis of the semantic content of the work, deciphering the principles of the composer’s creative method in working on the funeral text. The practical significance. The materials of the article can be useful in the practical activities of conductors, soloists and choristers, as well as in the educational process of training conductors, choirmasters and vocalists. Conclusions. It has been determined that Gabriel Fauré’s interpretation of the canonical text (with the changes corresponding to the Parisian rite) is based not so much on his personal drama of losing his parents, as it was previously believed, but on his attitude to death, formed by the events of the Franco-Prussian War. It has been determined that the main idea of the Requiem is a great feeling of love and compassion for a man who is forced to fight for his life, killing his own kind and who deserves peace. In this, Fauré seems to depart from the concept of the Catholic Requiem with its traditional “pedagogical intimidation” with pictures of the Last Judgment, and approaches the concept of the Orthodox funeral service with its repentance and hope for God’s mercy.

The purpose of the article is to demonstrate the memorial tourism as a component of memorial culture — promising direction of post-war tourism in Ukraine, to determine the reasons for its demand and the role it can play in current cultural situation. Memorial tourism is a new form of memorial activity: the creation of a “place of memory” for committed crimes (museumification of places of tragedies; opening of individual monuments; memorial complexes; museums; exhibitions dedicated to tragic events; creation of organized burials), etc. The methodology. In the research process, the methods of abstraction, analysis and synthesis were used in the historiographical study of the memorial tourism, empirical method was used for collecting and describing material about the first virtual museums of the Russian-Ukrainian war, content analysis and statistical method were used for comparing the content of popular Telegram news channels about the war with the exhibits of these museums. The results. The analysis of the literature showed that the phenomenon of memorial tourism has a global character. It becomes part of the global structure of contemporary mediating and tourism narratives of peace, reconciliation and sustainability paradigms. The paradigms of “shared memories” introduce a new vision of war memory as an alternative of the patriotic, aggressive and militarized approach. The authors note that the most expedient is the promotion of Ukraine on the international arena as a “place of memory” for the largest-scale destruction since the Second World War. This is the practice of the first virtual museums of the Russian-Ukrainian war. It currently corresponds to the content of acute cultural memory, represented in one of the most widespread Ukraininan media discourses. This approach will allow the state to popularize civic values, encourage active diplomacy, and stimulate tourism as a tool of economic development. The scientific novelty. Consideration of the relationship between the theory of memorial tourism and the first practices of museumification of the Russian-Ukrainian war and one of the leading Ukrainian media discourses of its coverage. The practical significance. The materials of this article can be used to develop programs or strategies for the development of memorial tourism in the war and post-war times in Ukraine.

The purpose of the article is to determine the main themes and directions of audiovisual representation of Ukrainian identity in the works on video hosting in the conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian war. The methodology. We conducted a qualitative content analysis of the works of the video hosting sites TikTok and YouTube according to the most popular Ukrainian studies tags and geographic queries. The results of the case were compared with the data obtained by the us during the studying other researchers on the topic. The results. Video hosting is defined as global informational and cultural carrier that increasingly actively promotes social and political trends. It was established that, unlike traditional media, video hosting broadcasts Ukrainian identity as a modern cultural and artistic trend. Video flash mobs (TikTok) and shorts (YouTube) became the main means of spreading Ukrainian identity. It was shown that the events of the Russian-Ukrainian war became a catalyst for national and political identity and a powerful social and cultural demand for Ukrainian art in the world. The scientific topicality. This scientific study highlights the manifestation of national Ukrainian identity in the video hosting works in the context of the events of the Russian-Ukrainian war. The practical significance. The research contained in this article may be useful for researchers of modern media and Ukrainian culture.

The purpose of the article is to study the peculiarities of semiotic communication in make-up art. The methodology. New methodological principles of make-up training, which are based on the intersection of cultural and art history approaches, will be proposed. Particular attention is paid to the semiotic study of make-up. The results. Having studied the construction and functioning of make-up as a symbolic system, it has been proven that make-up art has a complex structure of semiotic communication. It can be traced in its symbolic units (color, line, etc.) and their interaction, as well as in the multi-layered structure of reference and recipient, which is most vividly reflected in theatrical make-up. Thus, the space of semiotic communication of playing can be considered in two main vectors: 1) communication between signs and symbolic structures in the space of the make-up scheme; 2) communications between signs composing the semiotic space of makeup from the external environment. Therefore, to solve the problems of semiotic communication of make-up art, sufficient attention should be paid both to the detailed processing of make-up schemes and the question of authorship in the context of dialogue, the multiplicity of interpretations, contexts and meanings. The scientific novelty. Along with studies of the semiotics of the theatre, a separate direction of research is proposed — the semiotics of make-up. This will provide new opportunities for researchers and experts in the context of the semiotic understanding of culture and make-up art in general. The practical significance. The results of the research can be used in the scientific, creative and pedagogical activities of specialized educational institutions, as well as by directors-producers of performances, theatrical programs, actors and make-up artists involved in these productions to solve theoretical and practical tasks.

The purpose of the article is to analyze the causes and consequences of the unification of reality shows in the cultural space of Ukraine. The research methodology is based on a cultural approach to the study of the latest television morphology. The article discusses the main levels at which the trend of unification of reality shows in the Ukrainian TV-Internet space takes place. The article is complemented by an art history analysis of the features of reality shows as the latest morphological formation of a tool for embodying changes in the structure of the narrative by a modern viewer. An analysis of the consequences of the reality show unification trend in the context of post-postmodern culture is presented. Sociocultural changes are revealed in the structure of the viewer’s vision of real life through the prism of a reality show. The convergence of heroes and characters of a reality show is analyzed as a result of unification and changes in the structure of recipients’ thinking. The origi-nality of modern Ukrainian reality shows is noted, most of which have a social orientation, tell about the life, characters of Ukrainians, their dreams and goals based on ethno-cultural traditions. The scientific novelty lies in revealing the levels of unification and originality of Ukrainian reality shows, the manifestations of unification and originality trends in the cultural space of Ukraine are highlighted. Conclusions. The reality show takes on the functions of a tool for ensuring the interpenetration of cultures and at the same time broadcasting domestic cultural codes to the global world. The reality show is a reflection and at the same time an element that forms post-postmodern culture, perceiving, transmitting and using its phenomena, new forms and meanings.

The purpose of the article is to substantiate animation approach to sociocultural activities and culture management as a mechanism of overcoming social alienation and exclusion, and to present a system for animation sociocultural activities management. The methodology. The research is based on a cultural studies paradigm, which provides for establishing a place of social exclusion phenomenon in the contemporary model of humanity’s culture. Interconnected fundamental and applied cultural studies constitute the foundation of deep analysis of culture management and contemporary culture practices. Synthesis of scientific knowledge and generalization of scientific facts acted as a foundation of conclusions about the significance of animation approach in culture processes management. Systemizing and modeling as scientific cognition methods enable designing an animation sociocultural activities system, which allows realizing the process of overcoming social exclusion. The results. During the research, it was established that characteristic features of culture management, through the prism of animation approach to sociocultural practice, manifest themselves as: stimulation and motivation of people and groups to directly participate in sociocultural processes; ensuring active performance; accompaniment of initiatives in sociocultural field; assistance in self-organizing; ensuring eventfulness and creativity of cultural practices to improve the animation effect. This shapes animation management as a process of creating conditions for uncovering creativity in various manifestations (social — self-organization, artistic – art, civic — social activities etc.). Culture management within the context of applied cultural studies, through the prism of animation approach, must study contemporary practices, ensure culture-creating being, facilitate creative self-development of society’s subjects and improve their participation in opposition to alienation in the sociocultural space. The scientific topicality. Rethinking of topicality of scientific research in contemporary sociocultural situation is caused by contemporary crisis realities. It is especially related to theoretical generalization of contemporary culture space management, which reacts promptly to challenges under conditions of extermination of our people’s cultural heritage. Special kind of responsibility rests upon those who must ensure active inclusion of society’s subjects into culture-creation processes, facilitate overcoming social alienation, and accompany continuousness of translation of Ukraine’s values on “the culture front”. Aspects of the creative activity of representatives of the artistic environment of front-line Kharkiv were analyzed. Its main directions and fields are considered, concrete examples of concerts, festivals, and creative meetings both offline and online are given. The names of numerous participants of these creative actions that took place in the city during the period from the beginning of full-scale Russian aggression to the end of October 2022 are given. With the beginning of the full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the country as a whole, and especially the front-line Kharkiv, faced an urgent task not only to preserve independence, but also to resist the brutal attack of the aggressor, to preserve its own rich cultural and artistic heritage. Numerous Kharkiv artists played a big role in this: musicians, artists, poets and writers, actors, etc. The purpose of the article: to analyze the versatile activity of creative people during the Russian-Ukrainian war. The methodology: we applied the cooperative method and the induction method in this paper. The results. The tragic and, at the same time, heroic events of the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war stimulated a huge burst of creative activity in many representatives of the artistic sphere of activity, because any creative person in extreme conditions of life seeks and finds the realization of his feelings, sensations from what he saw and experienced acutely in new compositions, paintings, poems, tapes, projects. Difficult living conditions in the front-line city for many months provoked and determined the search by creative people for new forms and means of implementing their ideas and plans. Artists are increasingly actively using various forms of online communication with potential audiences. But in addition to online projects, in a slightly transformed form, artists in various fields also implement numerous offline actions. Currently, the characteristic features of these actions are: most often the smallness of the composition of performers and, compared to the pre-war cultural and artistic life, small premises where creative events take place, creativity in the use of these premises, forms of information dissemination about such events, the prevalence of domestic authors in concert programs, the use of topical texts and plots, and, perhaps most importantly, the huge thirst of artists for self-realization. The vast majority of them have a charitable purpose: it is no coincidence that in the announcements of such events, as a rule, instead of the usual ticket price, it is stated: “any donation”. Thanks to such creative actions, considerable sums are constantly collected for the needs of Ukrainian defenders, which brings us all closer to Victory. Prospects for further research. The relevance of the article is due to the new realities of today, namely, the transition of most Ukrainian educational institutions to distance learning. This has caused a change in the approach to the educational process and proved the importance of media literacy of educators, their knowledge and mastery of Internet technologies and the introduction of various useful applications into the curriculum. The purpose of the article is to overview the innovations of the educational process in modern realities, provide a list of tools and demonstrate the implementation of individual applications capable of modernizing online learning and helping to achieve efficient and high-quality results. The methodology. The purpose and objectives of the research have determined its methodology. Methods of empirical knowledge, systematization and generalization have formed the fundamental basis of the study. The results. The article highlights the peculiarities of the online learning process. Special attention is paid to the need to improve the media literacy of educators. An overview has been made and references have been chosen for courses, webinars, seminars, online platforms for professional development in the field of digital technologies. It has been proved that such software as Audacity, BandLab, Audio Editor Hokusai, Reaper, Samplitude, Cubase and the following online resources Audio-Joiner, Mp3cut.foxcom, clideo.com, filesmerge.com, solveigmm.com, mp3food.com have become useful in the process of teaching. Specific examples of the use of Google’s digital tools have been offered, including Google Classroom, Google form, Google sites. The study has also revealed the importance of individual student work and a systematized list of forms of independent student work in the quartet class has been provided, among them: listening to a given quartet composition; work with a quartet score; understanding of the form of musical works, their semantic load; learning the musical text, taking into account all the composer’s notes; selection of the most profitable application; arrangement of beats and their coordination between members of the ensemble; development of pausing and its coordination with other team members; finding the culminating points of the musical work and building the logical development of its composition. The scientific novelty of the article is the description of innovative options for interaction with students in non-standard learning conditions aimed at maximum productivity and success. The practical significance of this research lies in the introduction of the proposed ideas into the educational process and the stimulation of creativity development and the use of creative pedagogical approach in communication with students. The purpose of the article is to study tourism as a universal socio-cultural institute of modernity. The methodology. In the process of research, methods of abstraction, analysis and synthesis were applied in the historiographic study of the institutionalization of tourism and its formation as a socio-cultural universal institution of modernity. The results. The study of tourism as a socio-cultural institute, conducted on the basis of a new approach to the essence of social institutes, confirms that the field of tourism is a specific branch of social institutionalization. The social institute of tourism is characterized by the presence of the purpose of its activity, functions, a set of social positions and roles typical for this social institute, designed to satisfy public, group and personal needs. The institutional status and institutional structure of tourism are expressed not only in the functional task of tourist activity, but also in the fact that, as a social institute, tourism acts as a system-built set of interdependent specific organizations included in a complex system, both internal and external functional and organizational connections and relations. This requires constant adjustment of the appropriate mechanism for ordering and coordinating the interactions of individual components of the tourism sphere, taking into account the specifics of its regulatory system. Institutional relations of the Ukrainian Social Institute of Tourism with international tourism organizations and the implementation of positive international experience in the field of tourism in Ukraine require further research. The scientific novelty. Consideration of tourism through the prism of institutional theory. The practical significance. The materials of this article can be used to develop programs or strategies for the further development of tourism as a socio-cultural institution in Ukraine.

The scientific topicality of the work lies in the study of the history of musical art of Bukovyna and identification of the role of individual personalities in the formation of the region’s musicological opinion. Among the figures of culture, art and education of Bukovyna, an important role was played by Anton Norst, whose cultural works have been known since the time of Austria-Hungary and have gained relevance and new recognition in our time. He became one of the first and most famous researchers of the culture and art of Bukovyna. Therefore, a need arose for scientific evaluation of his research and an outline of the significance of his activities in the process of formation and development of musicology in Bukovyna. The purpose of the article is to determine the role of Anton Norst in the study of musical culture of Bukovyna and the description of his work “The Society for the Promotion of Musical Art in Bukovyna. 1862–1902”. The methodology. While preparing the article, several research methods were used, in particular, biographical, historical, cultural and deductive, which made it possible to reveal new facts of Anton Norst’s life and determine his role in the development of musicology in Bukovyna. The results. One can learn about the development of Bukovynian culture, its musical life and the role of individual personalities in the process of the region’s cultural upliftment from the works of scientists, musicians and public figures of that time. Among the works of the Austro-Hungarian period, Anton Norst’s German-language work “The Society for the Promotion of Musical Art in Bukovyna. 1862–1902” stands out. A. Norst is an active participant and co-founder of numerous societies, chairman and honorary member of the Union of Journalists and Writers of Bukovyna. He is the author of numerous publications, poems, short stories, comic strips and reviews. Anton Norst’s edition is timed to celebrate the fortieth anniversary of creation of the organization that contributed to the development of musical art and education in the region. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that for the first time the role of Anton Norst in the development of musicology in Bukovyna was determined and an assessment of his work dedicated to musical and cultural processes in Chernivtsi during the Austro-Hungarian rule was given. Conclusions. The first cultural studies that appeared in Bukovyna are of significant value for modern musicology. Anton Norst’s book “The Society for the Promotion of Musical Art in Bukovyna. 1862–1902” was such a work. It became an important source of information about the development of musical culture of the region in the XIX — early XX centuries and a model of historical musicology of that time.
