Polish director Lech Majewski based his film «The Mill and the Cross» on two different sources: Michael Francis Gibson’s homonymous dissertation and The Procession to Calvary, Brueghel’s oil-on-panel masterpiece. The filmmaker paints a picture within another, a humongous, slow and silent tableaux vivant because slow is the creative process as well. Only the conversation between the painter and the art dealer, in which the first one explains the ways his painting has been made, breaks the quietness.

EnglishIn 2002 Stephen Daldry premiered the film The hours, inspired by the homonymous book published in 1998 by Michael Cunningham. Cunningham, in turn, had written his work to honor the english author Virginia Woolf and, more specifically, his novel Mrs. Dalloway. In the present study, as the main objective, we will analyze the artifices and gears that operate in the intertextuality of the three works. We will identify the narrative strategies used in each of them and we will demonstrate both the differences and the similarities between the three. We will deepen into the devices that the cinema uses to transfer the narrative texts of both Woolf and Cunningham to the big screen.
2002年EnglishIn Stephen Daldry premiered the电影the小时,inspired by the homonymous book published in 1998年由迈克尔·坎宁安。 我们将加深into the devices) that the cinema用to transfer the narrative坎宁安texts of both伍尔夫and to the big之上。

This paper proposes a brief anthological review of the main representations of the villain in European and American silent films, from 1910, covering their most characteristic faces, scenes and keys, under the aesthetic notions of beauty and ugliness. The text addresses evil from different perspectives as a construction element of antagonistic images, differentiating when it proceeds between representations based on reality, or totally fictional, teratological or non-teratological, in addition to abounding in the aspects of the characterization and aesthetic construction of the evil one, with some notes on the subsequent influence of specific characters. The face as a frontal or opaque mirror of evil, plus a review of the female villains at this stage, finally find their own space throughout the compilation.

In these pages we want to deal with the projection on cinema and television screens of different mythical episodes linked to the founding of the city of Rome. If it were compared to other episodes or characters in its history, the scant interest it has aroused is striking, at least from a quantitative point of view. We will deal with those productions that have focused on the figure of Aeneas and his journey through the Mediterranean, the twins Romulus and Remus, the episode of the kidnapping of the Sabine women and the fight between Horace and Curiaceous.
