Taxes are a very important source of state revenue in supporting the country's development. State financing depends on tax revenue. Current tax revenue has not met the target, the sluggish Indonesian economy is the cause of not meeting the tax target. One of the efforts made by the government is to increase tax awareness where the Director General of Taxes implements one of the Tax Inclusion programs aimed at the younger generation, one of which is high school students. The given tax knowledge will encourage students to be positive and change the mindset of students so that they can produce positive tax behavior. This study uses two factors in measuring the tax awareness of high school students, namely tax literacy and social environment. The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the effect of tax literacy and the social environment on tax awareness among high school students in Surabaya and Sidoarjo. The method used in sample selection is non-purposive sampling with a total sample of 398 respondents. The results of this study indicate that the tax literacy and social environment variables have an effect on tax awareness among high school students in Surabaya and Sidoarjo.

This study aims to assess risks and carry out risk mapping in reallocating and refocusing the East Nusa Tenggara Provincial regional revenue and expenditure budgeting during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Qualitative research methods are carried out through literature studies, normative studies and prospective studies. Assessment of the scale of likelihood and impact risk for government management was carried out by 32 government internal supervisory in Provincial and District Inspectors in East Nusa Tenggara. Respondents assess, prospectively, the likelihood and impact scales of the identified risks. The results showed 25 risks of reallocating and refocusing the regional revenue and expenditure when Pademi Covid-19 was identified and analyzed. At the high-risk level, when reallocating and refocusing the budget during the Covid 19 pandemic, the PPK Region Unit Works has the task of preparing Region Unit Works financial reports. The risk of such activities is being late in preparing Region Unit Works financial reports; risk of being late in compiling budget implementation documents from the activities of Budget user officials; and the risk of an orderly general cash book made by the treasurer of receipt/expenditure. There is one risk involved at the very low level, namely inappropriate cash due to incorrectly inputting the transaction nominal; there are transactions that have not been inputted so that there is a difference; there is an advance payment which is not recorded; money used for non-operational needs.

In few years, agriculture drones emerge for monitoring, planting, spraying, and mapping to increase crop production and reduce labor. This review results show its significance and farmer's demand for agriculture. The UAV technologies enable farmer management based on measuring and observation based on real-time crop and livestock monitoring, significantly maximize their production. The farm drone consists of user-friendly software with interactive maps, and a global positioning system will improve production. It will support farmer for farming in efficient, effective, and economical ways.

This study was aimed at finding out the influence, both simultaneously and partially, of the variables ‘competence, work environment, and work discipline’ on the performance of the staff of the Regional Civil Service Agency of Malang City and finding out the most dominant between the variables ‘competence, work environment, and work discipline’ in influencing the staff of the Regional Civil Service Agency of Malang City. The variables in this study consisted of independent variables: competence, work environment, and work discipline, while the dependent variable is the performance of the staff of the Regional Civil Service Agency of Malang City. The population was all staff of the Regional Civil Service Agency of Malang City as many as 110 people. The sample was taken using an accidental sampling technique, namely a paired sample, so the study sample was 110 people. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the variables ‘competence, work environment, and work discipline’ are simultaneously proved to influence the performance of the staff of the Regional Civil Service Agency of Malang City and the three variables cannot be separated from each other and are a unified whole in supporting the staff performance with a contribution of 68.8%, while the remaining 31.2% were influenced by other variables not included in this study. Meanwhile, separately, the three variables are proved, partially/individually, to have a significant influence on the performance of the staff of the Regional Civil Service Agency of Malang City. Of the three independent variables ‘competence, work environment, and work discipline’, the one has the most dominant influence on the performance of the staff of the Regional Civil Service Agency of Malang City is the variable ‘competence.’ The purpose of employee performance appraisal is to provide feedback to employees to improve their performance and increase organizational productivity.

Mismatch between skills, expertise and work placements among civil servants is often a phenomenon that occurs in many public service offices in Indonesia. This condition is exacerbated by low organizational commitment. Because these two aspects can lead to poor public service, this study aims to evaluate the impact of work placements and organizational commitment on employee performance. The results of Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis show that work placements have a positive and significant impact on employee performance. However, despite its positive influence on employee performance, organizational commitment does not have a significant impact on their performance. This study provides an overview of the performance of the tourism agency in one of the regional governments of West Java Province of Indonesia.

This paper aims to analyze the intersection between culture, behavior, and family in determining the new leader of family business. Organizationally, the culture of family has a significant role in the founder's willingness to hand over his business to someone who is undoubtedly considered the best. This paper uses a qualitative approach where the appropriate theoretical foundation is applied to explain the succession of family business. However, observation method is used in order to obtain the facts of family business succession of batik industry in Pekalongan City, Indonesia. Meanwhile, the sociology and psychology approach used to analyze these facts; therefore, the succession process can be explained correctly. This paper provides several important results of family business succession in Pekalongan City, Indonesia. The succession tends to be carried out in several stages; therefore, the process runs smoothly, i.e., the successor improves his/her ability in managing the business, and then its predecessor reduces their responsibility. Further, the succession process consists of two models, namely planned and unplanned models, where they have their strengths and weakness. We believe some factors influence the succession process, such as motivation, commitment, and dependence of predecessor and successor.
