A parallel version of the in-close algorithm 接近算法的并行版本

This research paper presents a new parallel algorithm for computing the formal concepts in a formal context. The proposed shared memory parallel algorithm Parallel-Task-In-Close3 parallelizes Andrews's In-Close3 serial algorithm. The paper presents the key parallelization strategy used and presents experimental results of the parallelization using the OpenMP framework.

Estimating the fuel loss during idling ofvehicles at signalized intersections in colombo 科伦坡信号交叉口车辆怠速油耗估算

The fuel consumption of the vehicles is increasing day by day as a result of enhanced trip lengths, personal mode of transport, and congested intersections. The drivers normally keep their vehicle engine on while waiting for their turn to cross the intersection at signals, and a result of this extra fuel is consumed. This small amount of fuel wastage becomes a huge quantity when aggregated over number of cycles per day and number of signalized intersections. This study was carried out in Colombo, commercial capitals of Sri Lanka. For estimating the excess fuel consumed by vehicles during idling at signalized intersections, two signalized intersections with medium traffic volumes were considered. The selected signalized intersections were Borella and Narahenpita. The primary data for this research study, traffic volume and idling delay were obtained through field surveys. Required vehicle idling fuel consumption data were obtained from previous research. It was observed that the presence of heavy traffic congestion at the signalized intersections was the main reason for huge amount of fuel wastage from the vehicles. After the implementation of remedial measures, which are suggesting in this study, fuel loss during idling of vehicles at the signalized intersections can be reduced.

Securing corporate data in mobile devices in a COPE environment 在COPE环境中保护移动设备中的企业数据

Bring Your Own Devices (BYOD) paved the way for allowing employees to use their own mobile devices for corporate work. But it increases the risk of leaking sensitive corporate information from employee's devices to outside. As a solution for this problem the Corporate Owned Personally Enabled (COPE) concept or idea introduced. In this concept, company owned devices can be used for both corporate and personal use of the employees. But in COPE stopping leakage of corporate data to outside as well as securing the privacy of the user is challenging. The Enterprise Secure Center (ESC) platform discussed here will consider about separation of corporate data from personal data to secure both organization information and personal information from being compromised. The ESC have an application mechanism which will enable COPE environment to secure organization data while allowing employees to use corporate devices for their personal use. ESC platform also provides answers to user's privacy issues and will be an initial step to implement BYOD within an organization as COPE is a part.

A trilateral influence model for online shopping 网络购物的三方影响模型

Application of social influence toward E-commerce has brought a significant benefit for the stakeholders. Consequently, it has enhanced the consumer satisfaction as well as spread of experiences. However, even with the collaboration of social influence there are some visible short comings potentially appearing in such systems. In fact, the contribution of social influence is still in an evolving state. The reliability of products is such recognized key issue that still appears in exiting social E-commerce systems. In this context we introduce a social influence model combined with a built in social network which further improves the customer reliability and satisfaction on available products. Thus, it can propagate reliable knowledge among community and optimize product recommendation process. The implemented model considers the personal preferences of respective consumers, their social influences in social network and external social influences to the system for the execution. Furthermore, it operates as a multi-agent system. The model has been validated by two sample data sets of consumers and products. As the results, majority have picked products suggested by combining external influences, internal social influences, and personal preferences. Therefore it has concluded that recommendation of products considering above three combinations is more effective.

Teacher attitude and ICT integration in the class room: Case of sri lankan schools 教师态度与ICT课堂整合:斯里兰卡学校案例

Although Sri Lankan education authorities have taken many initiatives to enhance the ICT integration in schools, only minor improvements are seen in its use in the class room. With the view to addressing this issue in the long term, this research aims to review the critical dimensions influencing the usage of ICT for teaching within the classroom. Based on past research, this research attempts to comprehensively examine three factors, namely, personal skills, personal factors and organizational factors. Data gathered through in depth interviews of fifteen school teachers representing twelve schools have been analyzed in this qualitative study. The results show that the teacher attitude happens to be the critical driver of ICT integration within the classroom, while ICT skills of teachers and organizational factors play only a supporting role. It is also seen that the emphasis of the education authorities have been placed mostly on the latter two factors and not much on the attitudinal improvement.

A study on pedestrian crossings in colombo suburbs 科伦坡郊区人行横道研究

A pedestrian crossing is a location on a street which is designated for pedestrians to cross streets. According to the National Council for Road Safety (NCRS), more than 900 fatalities have occurred due to the crashes on or near pedestrian crossings during past 10 years in Sri Lanka. However, little research has been carried out in this regard. This study identified issues related to design of pedestrian crossings in Colombo area through observations and interviewing both road users and law enforcement authorities. This study highlights issues related to pedestrian crossing designs and give recommendations in accordance with international standards to make them safe for all road users.

Modified expanding ring search in common node scenario for AODV 改进了AODV在公共节点场景下的扩展环搜索

Mobile ad-hoc networks (MANET) are a collection of nodes without any static infrastructure. Ad-hoc networks establish connections between nodes without the help of centralized nodes but with the help of its neighbour nodes. The nodes are movable and can change its position frequently, so it maintains a dynamic interconnection between nodes in the network and adapts to dynamic topologies. MANETs are characterized by dynamic mobile nodes, with limited battery sourced power. These mobile nodes also act as routers taking its roles such as finding new routes, acting as an intermediate node, deciding best routes and keep a connection with mobile nodes. Any mobile node in the network can make the connection directly to any node within its transmission range, but due to its limited power, its transmission range also limited. Reactive routing protocols are effective than proactive routing protocols on MANETs since it can reduce extra overheads. However, reactive routing protocol suffers from excessive flooding in route discovery process. Authors focus on an existing solution called Expanding Ring Search (ERS) which decreases the flooding by manipulating Time to live (TTL) in AODV. ERS is also is inefficient in some scenarios. When the source is far from the destination ERS is worse than flooding [4]. Authors proposing a modification in ERS to avoid this problem which will make ERS efficient when the MANET consists a node (common node) that frequently accessed by most of the nodes.

The effect of roadside elements on drivers' speed selection and lateral position on road 道路因素对驾驶员速度选择和道路横向位置的影响

Highway related crashes are considered as one of most concerned types of problems in the modern world. Run-Off-Road (ROR) crashes could be identified as the most critical among highway related crashes. Previous research studies on Traffic Engineering has found that the road side elements will have a positive influence toward ROR crashes. Hence, the study explores the relationship of roadside elements with drivers' speed selection and lateral position. In this research study, the effect of road side vegetation and utility poles on drivers' speed selection and lateral positioning was evaluated. A straight roadway section and horizontal curve roadway section with varying road side vegetation were selected to get the required data for the study. Fifty vehicle were observed at each location to get the speeds and lateral positions. Collected data was analyzed using Multiple Regression Analysis technique to generate models to find drivers' speed selection and lateral positioning of vehicle on road. Study found that in lightly vegetated roadways, subjects drove speedier and drove much near the edge of the road. At the point when the scene changes into more vegetated, subjects drove much slower and drove near to the center of the road. The models demonstrate that the impact of road side vegetation way much higher in curved roads areas than straight segments. Therefore, it is recommended to post a speed limit sign and proper monitoring system at each critical curved roadway section in the country.

MANETs became a principal research area as a promising routing protocol for a large scale of applications, due to its' behavior of self-configuring ability according to the infrastructure. Energy efficient in MANETs is a significant area in MANETs related researchers. Nodes in a MANET networks are basically battery operated, and thus have access to a limited amount of energy. The lack of energy can lead to a link failure during an active communication session, which affects the throughput and energy wastage due to a re-run of the algorithm. These papers presents a modified AODV algorithm, where a node calculates its residual energy and select the best path based on the existing matrices and total energy of the path. During the RREQ packet exchange, each node adds its residual energy to the packet and forwards it until it reaches the destination. At the destination, the total energy value is copied to the RREP packet from RREQ packet and sent to the source node through the reverse path. During the process of route selection, the path with the highest energy value gets the priority.

Deflectors to introduce heterogeneity to canals 偏转器引入管道的异质性

Canals are manmade lotic water systems constructed for flood control, navigation, irrigation, etc. In general, canals are eco-hydrologically homogeneous. As such, a canal might have the same prismatic cross section and an even bed profile along its course. Such characteristics do not support rich biota, something a sustainable society expects. Several past studies have attributed heterogeneity to be an important factor for a healthy stream. In this study the deflectors were used to introduce the heterogeneity in canals. In tandem studying flow complexity by deflectors, their role with respect to sediment (sand) and seed transport, and fisheries were also studied. The model canal's (laboratory flume) homogenous velocity of 0.4 m/s changed to a range of values from 0.1 to 0.7 m/s after placing deflectors. Similarly, water depth changed from a uniform 30 mm to a range from 20 mm to 70 mm. This resulted in formation of flow patches similar to flow patches formed by meso-scale physical habitats such as pools and riffles. Sediment deposition was patchy and seemed to be stable as only a minor bedload movement was observed for prolonged durations. This meant it is possible to achieve a quasi-equilibrium state in field canals where upstream brings sediments. Seed trapping was weak for floating type seeds, whereas non-floating seeds managed to get deposited with sediment. Fishes quickly migrated to the pool like areas that resulted from deflectors. The results suggested the role of deflectors in transforming a homogenous channel to heterogeneous channel that has the potential to have rich biota which is essential in ecological rehabilitation works.
