The aim of this article is to identify learning situations used in collaborative action research (CAR) in a rural school and a state university, based on the analysis of the strengths andchallenges of experience. From a methodological point of view, this is a case study of action research. The experience is analytically assessed by recognizing the strengths ―reciprocal recognition, appreciation of the other institutional body as a project partner with shared goals, and commitment of the inter-institutional educational actors to the students― and the challenges ―management of each institution’s internal contingencies for inter-institutional coordination, and institutional differences to distinguish intervention problems and goals. Based on the experience, the following learning situations are recognized: clarifying the goals of collaboration with reality criteria over the fair desire to achieve great transformations, and knowing the institutional administrative times and protocols that affect the inter-institutional collaboration.

The purpose of this article is to expand the taxonomy of the most frequent ethical misconducts currently found in scientific publications. We present examples of fraud in contrast to an ethical conduct in research and publications arising from research. Then, we show the taxonomy in different stages: before, during and after the publication. Before the publication, the following ethical misconducts were found: conflicts of interest not declared by the authors, undeserved or insufficient authorship, salami slicing, plagiarism, self-plagiarism, fabrication, manipulation or impossibility of data replication, and parallel submission of articles. During the process of publication: conflicts of interest in peer review, false peer reviewers, theft of the manuscript by peer reviewers, content mishandling and undeserved authorship following peer review. After the publication: alteration of the impact factor. Next, we analyze the consequences of ethical misconducts for both authors and journals. Finally, we offer some alternatives to fight against these misconducts in the process of scientific publication to foster ethical integrity

This study aimed to analyze the differences in condom use with respect to the level of information about HIV, and the motivation and behavioral skills to use condoms in males deprived of freedom from three age strata. A total of 1,104 males belonging to long-term pretrial detention facilities for adolescents (comunidades de diagnostico) and a social rehabilitation center in Mexico City were evaluated. They were divided into three groups using as criteria the distribution assigned by age quartiles, as well as the comparison between those who used and those who did not use a condom in their last sexual intercourse. A 3x2 factorial analysis was carried out and differences were found regarding the level of information and behavioral skills in relation to the age groups and condom use; however, there were no significant differences in the motivation. The results are discussed in terms of the importance of designing intervention programs for males deprived of freedom considering how the experience is related to the use of condoms in sexual intercourse.

This paper aims to illustrate a novel approach to the study of cognitive development by researching two domains of knowledge that have remained separated: action understanding and symbolic understanding of images. First, we show recent research on young children’s action understanding through live actions and actions in images. Then, we address young children’s early symbolic understanding of images in general and digital images displayed in a tablet. Finally, we present some studies that have linked both paths by analyzing the symbolic understanding of images that represent real actions in children aged 2 or older.

EnglishThis research analyzes the impact of hope on attitudes toward politics among residents of the city of Arequipa, Peru. The Attitudes Toward Politics Questionnaire and the Herth Hope Index (HHI) were administered to a cluster sample consisting of 875 adults (47,54 % males and 52,46 % females) with an average age of 38 years who lived in eleven districts of the city of Arequipa. Data was processed using a descriptive, comparative and correlational design. The results show that hope and attitudes toward politics differ significantly according to the education level.
