Applying MUPE Context Producers in Developing Location and Context Aware Applications 在开发位置和上下文感知应用程序中应用MUPE上下文生成器

Location based services (LBS) and applications have recently emerged as a significant application area. However, location based services and application could also benefit of the dimensions of the contextual data. MultiUser Publishing Environment (MUPE) has a built-in context mediation capability that allows the application developer to concentrate on using contextual data and thus enabling rapid prototyping of location and context aware applications. In this paper MUPE context producers are applied so that the applications can exploit the different available context in a manner suitable to their logic. This paper purposes to demonstrate that context mediation is a powerful tool to speed up the prototyping process and to enable an efficient application development.

Auctions in mobile multihop ad-hoc networks following the marketplace communication pattern 市场通信模式下移动多跳自组织网络中的拍卖

This paper presents UbiBay, a self-organizing distributed auction system using a mobile multihop ad-hoc network as its sole communication platform. In order to substantially increase the probability that negotiating peers successfully reach an agreement, communication is focused on a static geographic area, called the marketplace. Users are not constrained to be at the marketplace physically, but are allowed to utilize other ones mobile devices located at the marketplace to let a software agent negotiate with others on their behalf. The negotiation protocols of UbiBay as well as a middleware architecture for applications based on the marketplace metaphor are described in this work.

The Analysis and Design Strategy in the Deployment of Wireless Communications for Innovative Campus Networks 创新校园网无线通信部署的分析与设计策略

This paper describes the fundamental concept of analysis and design strategy for an effective deployment of wireless communications for innovative universities or colleges campus that insistently deploys the wireless networks. The extensive use of wireless technologies in university campus has made various respective computer applications such as electronic transactions and electronic learning (e-learning) environments become more energetic. Usually, for the innovative campus network, when deploying wireless communications, most IT Managers/Engineers begin the project by jumping into technical matters, such as deciding upon which approach, technique or standard to use, which vendor to select, and how to overcome the various limitations. These are important elements of implementing wireless communications for innovative campus; however prior to getting too far with the project, the respective IT Managers/Engineers must give vigilant attention to analysis and design strategy in order to wind up with an effective deployment.

Emerging mobile computing technologies have increasingly enhanced the ability of people and organisations to work in collaboration at different locations and even on the move. By using various handheld devices such as PDAs, mobile phones, and electronic pens, remote and mobile people can flexibly exchange text and multimedia information with each other, and virtually work together as a cohesive group independent of time and location (constraints). Effective mobile collaboration requires reliable communication methods to connect people. More importantly, in-time, on-demand meeting scheduling design is necessary so as to bring fixed or mobile people together to discuss collective activities, such as planning of group work and allocation of resources whenever requested. As people usually have different availability and time arrangement preferences, quickly identifying preferable scheduling solutions for a group of people with heterogeneous and sometimes conflicting requirements is a challenge.

AuthenLink: A User-Centred Authentication System for a Secure Mobile Commerce AuthenLink:以用户为中心的安全移动商务认证系统

We envision an environment where humans communicate directly with computers without additional authentication inputs like passwords, passphrases, PINs (Personal Identification Numbers), biometrics, or other existent authentication systems; and where humans network (intercommunicate) continually with wireless (mobile) devices. In this paper, we propose a new mobile authentication system, not yet implemented, called “AuthenLink”, coupled with a new approach to distinguishing characteristics to authenticate people (authentication factor): something you CONVEY. The utmost purpose of this paper is to provide an ease, user-centred and acceptable security authentication system against fraud, counterfeit, and theft for the mobile commerce (m-Commerce) domain, more specifically for mobile devices. Our authentication system achieves its goal through a microprocessor chip (ChipTag) computer implanted under human skin. This ChipTag is able to authenticate user’s access to systems, connect them wirelessly, through the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, and enable mobile devices perform mobile transactions, access files, or shop online. This experiment may have large-scale implications for employers and for society in general, as humans define how closely they want to be connected with mobile devices.

Context sensitivity is particularly useful, if we want to give mobile users an experience of responsive and attentive services depending on their current contexts. In this paper, we discuss some of the issues, usefulness, and a means of adding context awareness to an existing application, especially a VNC traditional application. In order to exploit the benefits of context sensitivity in the mobile environment, we propose the Mobile Hanging Services framework.

Ordering in Mobile Networks Using Integrated Sequencers 使用集成序列器的移动网络排序

Distributed applications mostly interact by exchanging messages. For this purpose the messages often need to be ordered. Since today more and more mobile devices are used message ordering in mobile networks is increasingly important. Most ordering protocols for mobile networks use vector clocks or matrices. In static networks often multicast trees ensure message ordering. In this paper we propose a multicast protocol which ensures total order in a mobile environment. It uses sequencers organized in a tree-structure to obtain this total order, and introduces no extra-cost. This is because sequencers form no additional part of the network, in fact they are integrated and embedded network components.
