This paper aims to analyze South Korea's science diplomacy engagement with Central Asia, particularly through official development assistance (ODA). It investigates how South Korea's science and technology (S&T) ODA can align with its science diplomacy in the region, with a focus on the flagship project of establishing a Center of Chemical Technology in Uzbekistan (UzCCT). Through this project, South Korea aims to showcase its technological expertise and contribute to the economic growth of its partner countries. To achieve this, the paper provides a brief overview of previous research on science diplomacy and South Korea's science diplomacy evolution, examining its characteristics and limitations. The paper then shifts to South Korea's ODA in Central Asia, utilizing a case study approach to illustrate the effective use of science diplomacy and S&T ODA in supporting economic development and strengthening diplomatic ties.

cross-section of Muslim societies around the world, majority or otherwise. It offers instances where these countries have played the role of mediator in conflicts in the post-Soviet space and particularly in the Middle East, and gives further examples where Eurasia’s track record and nuanced approach through time can provide solutions and resolutions in the future.

Abbasid caliphs in the Islamic world systematically encouraged the translation of ancient Greek books on science and technology in large numbers. And in this process, knowledge related to automata also spread in the Islamic world. The leading Greek scholars who touched on the development of automata in the Islamic world were Philo of Byzantium and the Hero of Alexandria. Philo's book "Pneumatics" was translated into Arabic in Baghdad. Meanwhile, the works of the Hero, including The Mechanic, were translated into Arabic with the Greek physician Kusta ibn Luka (820–912) in the IX analysis. The Kitab al-Khiyal ("Book of Ingenious Devices") by Banu Musa bin Shakir (9th century) was one of the foundational texts for the development and systematic study of automatic devices in the Islamic world. The book was commissioned by the Abbasid Caliph Al-Ma'mun, who commissioned Ban Musa to acquire all the Hellenistic texts that were preserved by monasteries and scholars during the decline and fall of Roman civilization. The purpose of the article is to show the ways of development and subsequent influence of Islamic technologies on other cultures and civilizations. To do this, the author studied and translated a number of original sources in various languages of the East.

This article explores the issue of gender inequality in the labor market in South Korea. Using a mixed-methods approach, the study provides a comprehensive understanding of the nature and extent of gender disparities in employment and career advancement. The research findings highlight that women in South Korea face a range of challenges in the labor market, including underrepresentation in high-skilled, high-paying jobs, limited access to training and development opportunities, and gender-based discrimination. The study also identifies key factors contributing to gender disparities, such as gender stereotypes and biases in the workplace. The article suggests policy interventions that promote gender diversity and inclusion in the workplace, provide women with access to training and development opportunities, and implement family-friendly workplace policies. The study's findings have important implications for policymakers, employers, and civil society organizations working to promote gender equality and women's empowerment in South Korea. Overall, the article underscores the need for sustained efforts to address gender inequality in the labor market, and the critical role of policy interventions in promoting gender diversity and inclusion in the workplace to achieve gender equality and promote social progress.
