Effect of Military Housing Condition on Housing Preference and Adequacy in Shadawanka Barrack Bauchi, Bauchi State, Nigeria 尼日利亚包奇州Shadawanka军营军人住房条件对住房偏好和充分性的影响

The research sought to analyze military housing provision and Soldiers' housing preferences at shadawanka barrack Bauchi, with the goal of meeting the military personnel's housing demands in the study region. The study collected data using a quantitative technique and survey strategy using a descriptive and exploratory research design and a questionnaire instrument. The study's population consisted of military personnel, with a sample frame of 248 dwellings, assuming one personnel per house. A sample size of 160 people was chosen. The questionnaire on a five-point Likert scale was self-administered. According to the findings, the factors with the greatest and fair conditions are security, wall condition, floor condition, and finishing, while the variables with the lowest and lowest condition rating are sewage and road networks within the barrack. The barrack's general or average level of housing conditions was rated fair. Water supply and security are the variables with the highest levels of adequacy, whereas drainage and road networks have the lowest levels of adequacy and reaction. The general degree of appropriateness of the barracks' residences was rated unsatisfactory. The quality of the floor, the walls, and the number of bedrooms have moderate levels of satisfaction, whereas solid waste disposal and sewage have low levels of satisfaction. The most common source of unhappiness is the insufficiency of housing provision, which has the highest standardized Beta coefficient of 0.285. The study recommended that the sewerage and solid waste disposal systems be improved. The service can be contracted out. Internal road networks and drainage systems within the barracks should be restored, and new ones created to give proper accessibility. There is a need for new dwellings to be built in order to relieve overcrowding in most homes. Because military personnel are dissatisfied with their housing owing to inadequacies, it is recommended that sufficient housing based on the demands of the soldiers be considered.

Recognition of Traffic Sign Using CNN and Deep Learning 基于CNN和深度学习的交通标志识别

: An application of traffic sign recognition is proposed on the basis of the convolution neural network (CNN).A CNN is an artificial neural network that is used to process and recognize the image that focuses on processing pixel data. A dataset is trained, tested, and saved in order for the application to be able to detect and classify the image considered from the dataset. A Graphical User Interface (GUI) is designed for the user to try and use the application which will load the image from the dataset and classify the image as per its requirement. In the German traffic sign recognition criterion, an accuracy of 98% is obtained from the model used. Traffic Sign Recognition plays an integral part in the intelligent transportation system and has driverless vehicles and assisted driving systems are some of the applications of it [1]. The self-driving cars needed to identify each and every detail that are present on the road that includes vehicles on the road as well as pedestrians walking on the sidewalk with extreme accuracy and precision. There were no challenging and publicly available datasets in the domain for a period of time but the situations had changed in the year 2011 when Stallkamp et al [2] and Larsson and Felsberg [3] introduced datasets that includes demonstrations for traffic sign detection and classification of it.

Suitability Assessment of Sabon Kaura Pit Gravel as Coarse Aggregate in Concrete Production Sabon Kaura坑砾石粗骨料在混凝土生产中的适宜性评价

: There is global need for the preservation of natural resources. Natural resources in the world are continuously decreasing due to manufacturing of the products and this has negative impact on the environment. Aggregates constitute large ratio by weight concrete production. Recently the approach is to research for alternative that will serve the purpose of the natural aggregates in concrete for sustainable construction. One approach to contribute to sustainable construction is to partially or totally replace natural aggregates. Pit gravel is a suitable material for replacement of aggregate in concrete production. Specific gravity as well as bulk density, porosity, Impact value, crushing value for both conventional aggregate and pit gravel were carried out. Workability, compressive strength and flexural strength properties of concrete produced with 100% conventional aggregate and pit gravel were carried out with a mix ratio 1:2:3 and water-cement ratio of 0.5 were examined and compared. The concrete was tested at 3, 7, 14 and 28 days’ hydration periods. The results showed that concrete with both conventional and pit gravel has a medium workability. The highest compressive strength at 28 days was 27.53N/mm 2 for conventional aggregate concrete as compared to 26.61N/mm 2 for pit gravel concrete. The highest flexural strength at 28 days was 5.73N/mm 2 for conventional aggregate concrete as compared to 5.67N/mm 2 for pit gravel concrete. The strength test results indicated that conventional aggregate concrete gave better strength compared to pit gravel concrete. The research recommends use of pit gravel to fully replace conventional aggregate in concrete.

Wing Design for Subsonic Aircraft 亚音速飞机机翼设计

Major structural part of an aircraft is the wing which is used to produce the lift during flying conditions. Wing is inclined at certain angle of attack with stall regions. When the flow passes over an airfoil due to the pressure difference at top and bottom surface of the wing the lift force is generated. The aim of the present study is to design the rectangular wing of subsonic aircraft using 3D EXPERIENCE &analysis through SIMULIA with Al alloy to find von-mises stress which is developed in the wing design.The wing is designed in solid modelling software using 3D EXPERIENCE and analysis is done using finite element method by using SIMULIA. Static structural analysis of the wing is done to find deformation, stress, and strain induced in the wing structure wing. Production of the lift to drag ratio for the tailless aircraft is high. The stability of an aircraft is considered for the flying wing is dependent on the design and configuration of the wing construction for production of lift in major conditions of flight. With the known values of von mises stress and displacements and strainsthe region of slip where the failure may occur and zones of failures are introduced before braking through rectanngular wing structural analysis.

Implementation of Process Level Control System 过程水平控制系统的实施

: An automatic control suitable for process level sensing and control was realized using the Ultrasonic sensor. This enabled the entire circuit to function as a threshold detector; thereby working as an ON and OFF switch. The proposed process level sensor was tested in real time application by using it to control the level of water in a tank fed by a single phase 1/2HP pump. Experimental performance results indicated that the device is quite suitable for the desired operation, since it maintained the set maximum and minimum levels of 100 litres and 10 litres respectively, by switching the pump on or off as required.
