The caregiver of a loved one suffering from a chronic pathology (Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, stroke, etc.) can be in psychological distress at all stages of the disease, including when the loved one enters an institution. We have designed and implemented a psycho-educational program for family caregivers of institutionalized patients. A preliminary study showed that this program was feasible, gave satisfaction to the caregivers and improved their understanding of the functioning of the institution, their communication with the professionals of the institution and their relationship with their relative in the institution.
