Abstract: The health care industry has traditionally been slow to embrace change, largely due to its complexity, regulatory environment, and the importance of ensuring patient safety. However, over the past decade, technological advancements, evolving consumer expectations, and new regulatory frameworks have opened the door for significant disruption. These disruptions are reshaping the health care market, enhancing patient care, reducing costs, and improving outcomes. This article explores key market disruptors in health care, including digital health technologies, value-based care, precision medicine, and the shift toward consumer-driven health care.

Abstract: With increasing attrition, retention rates for prelicensure part-time clinical nursing faculty are declining, leading to vacancies and dissatisfaction among faculty. This article discusses a comprehensive, evidence-based orientation program that provides the necessary tools and support at a moment when employees are at their most receptive, thereby setting the foundation for long-term employment.

Abstract: Infection with Elizabethkingia species poses a significant illness risk to hospitalized patients and the public in general. This emerging opportunistic pathogen can infect the nervous system, pulmonary system, skin, and bloodstream. Outbreak sources include the plumbing system, patient care equipment, and the hands of health care personnel. This article discusses the environmental sources and transmission, signs and symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and nursing considerations.

Abstract: Although generative artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots are a promising tool for scholarly writing, caution is needed with hallucinations (incorrect or misleading results). Responsible research design, clear ethical guidelines, and emphasis on authentic scholarly work are critical to ensuring integrity and accurate dissemination. This article examines examples that highlight concerns about accuracy and the necessity of verifying output.

Abstract: Health justice is the framework and process for the elimination of health inequity and social injustice. Health justice must be a community-led movement aimed at destabilizing the currently perpetuated systems of power imbalances between decision-makers, legislators, and communities. Health justice is not a new concept, but it may be relatively new to nurses. This article explores the health justice framework along with an evidence-based example, and the role of nurses in promoting health justice for all.
