Extraction of pavement cracks based on valley edge detection of fractional integral 基于分数阶积分谷边检测的路面裂缝提取

As pavement crack images are difficult to segment due to the existence of high noise, weak boundary and small cracks, an extraction method of pavement cracks based on the valley edge detection of fractional integral is proposed. In this method, first, neighboring smoothing of the original image is performed to eliminate the noise and expand the relative width of the cracks. Then, the main cracks are extracted via the valley edge detection of fractional integral, and the resulting image is further processed via the morphological approach with short-line noise elimination. Afterwards, final cracks are extracted by using the gap linking method on maximum entropy threshold to cause cracks to merge automatically. Experimental results show that the proposed method instantly helps to detect small pavement cracks with high accuracy and strong noise robustness.
针对路面裂缝图像存在高噪声、弱边界和小裂缝等难以分割的问题,提出了一种基于分数阶积分的山谷边缘检测的路面裂缝提取方法。该方法首先对原始图像进行相邻平滑,消除噪声,扩大裂缝的相对宽度;然后,通过分数阶积分的谷边检测提取主要裂纹,并通过短线消噪的形态学方法对得到的图像进行进一步处理。然后,利用最大熵阈值的间隙连接方法提取最终裂缝,使裂缝自动合并。实验结果表明,该方法能够快速检测路面小裂缝,具有较高的检测精度和较强的噪声鲁棒性。

A dynamic Time Warping Algorithm for Recognition of Multi-Stroke On-Line Handwriten Characters 一种多笔划在线手写字符识别的动态时间扭曲算法

Dynamic time warping (DTW) is a famous distance to compare two mono-stroke symbols online. It obeys boundary and continuity constraints. The extension of DTW to multi-stroke symbols raises specific problems. A naive solution is to convert the multi-stroke symbol into a single one via a direct concatenation in the handwriting order. However, people may write a symbol with different stroke directions and orders. Applying a brute force method by searching all the possible directions and orders leads to prohibitive calculation times. To reduce the searching complexity, DTW-A* algorithm, which keeps the continuity constraint during each partial matching and reduces the searching complexity by using the A* algorithm, is proposed. Experimental results on a flowchart dataset mainly containing multi-stroke symbols indicate that DTW-A* algorithm helps to achieve the highest recognition rate and stability in cross-validation, as compared with such two other algorithms as DTW and modified Hausdorff distance.

In order to reveal the mechanism of water-induced damage to asphalt pavement, a three-layer surface course-base course-subgrade physical model is established based on the Biot's dynamic consolidation theory, and the governing equations of the three layers are deduced for the saturated asphalt pavement under moving traffic loads. Then, by utilizing the Fourier series expansion and the Fourier transform, the semi-analytical solution and the numerical solution are obtained for multiple physical fields in the surface course. Moreover, the dry pavement is compared with the saturated one in terms of stress distribution and pore water pressure distribution, and the effect of drainage boundary condition at the surface course bottom on the dynamic response of pavement as well as the effect of the shear modulus of pavement on the pore water pressure distribution is analyzed. It is found that, for the saturated asphalt pavement, higher tensile stress and larger tensile stress area are generated under moving traffic loads and that fully drained boundary greatly affects the distributions and values of pore water pressure and pore water velocity in the surface course with high permeability. However, it only has a slight effect on the surface course with low permeability, except for the small region near the surface course bottom. It is also found that the maximum pore water pressure decreases with the increase in the shear modulus of the surface course and the base course.

Corner detection of image based on product of two bending degrees 基于两个弯曲度积的图像角点检测

As the difference in bending degree between comer points and non-corner points is not large enough for image detection, an algorithm of image comer detection based on the product of two bending degrees is proposed. The proposed algorithm enlarges the differences in bending degree by multiplying the first bending degree and the second bending degree. Then, the comer detection for digital images is conducted. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is simple and effective, and that it helps to detect image comers with good stability and high precision.

In order to reveal the effects of CO emission policy and some other uncertain factors in the operation process on the investment decision-making of thermal power plants, a mathematical model considering the variations of the uncertain factors is established, and a new methodological framework of generation investment decision-ma-king is developed based on the option game theory. Then, on the assumption that the generation investment in diffe-rent generation companies are performed sequentially, a solution based on the Barraquand-Martineau (B-M) option pricing model is presented. Finally, the proposed method is illustrated by a simulation. Numerical results indicate that the proposed framework well considers multiple uncertain factors and simulates the dynamic game process of thermal power plants in the planning period in stochastically-varied market environments.
