The Evolution of Programs and Teaching Methods for Tourism and Leisure Economics: The University of Physical Education in Krakow 旅游与休闲经济学课程和教学方法的演变——克拉科夫体育大学

Abstract The aim of the article is to answer the question: what can non-economic universities do to improve their curricula for economic modules and methods of implementation? Literature review, participant observation and descriptive statistics were used based on an original set of 430 projects from the ‘Marketing of tourism and leisure services’ course for the academic years 2014/15, 2015/16 and 2016/17. Adopting a student orientation as a long-term partner in the information exchange process, in line with the concept of relationship marketing, contributes to the intensification of the didactic process aimed at broadening knowledge of economic reality.

Changes in the Number and Capacity of Hotels in Poland 波兰酒店数量和容量的变化

Abstract The author’s aim is to identify changes in the rate, intensity and direction of hotel development, as well as their number, type and capacity of in Poland, by category and province in 1990-2015. The objective is to define the influence of both tourism attractiveness and economic development factors (GNP, total capital expenditure, the value of gross fixed capital formation – GFCF) on the changing number of hotel rooms. The identification was based on commonly available materials provided by the Local Data Base (LDB) of the Central Statistical Office (CSO), as well as from statistical year books concerning the tourism sector. The article presents methods for analysing indices, as well as correlation and graphic presentation (graphs, maps). From 1990 to 2015, there was a rapid increase in the number and capacity of hotels in Poland (4.5 times), especially in higher (5* and 4*) and medium standard (3*) hotels. That increase was significantly diversified regionally and strongly depended on the tourism attractiveness and socioeconomic development of provinces.

The Historic Town of Sandomierz as a Tourist Destination 作为旅游目的地的历史小镇桑多梅日

Abstract Towns are tourist destinations because of their material heritage, cultural events as well as a wide range of other attractions. A special role in contemporary tourism development is played by historic towns that offer tourists not only heritage but also combine their genius loci with contemporary human needs. Sandomierz is one of the oldest Polish towns with its origins going back to the early Piast period. The thousand years of its history is visible in a well-preserved urban-architectural complex which has successfully survived both world wars in the 20th c. Today's image of ‘tourist’ Sandomierz is connected with the TV serial of Ojciec Mateusz. The story, set in Sandomierz, has become a tourist attraction as well as an important means of promotion and creating an image of the town as a pleasant and hospitable place. The role of the serial as a factor for tourism development in terms of tourism infrastructure and volume of tourists dates from 2008. Sandomierz offers much else that has created favourable conditions for the development of new forms of tourism.

Murals as a Tourist Attraction in a Post-Industrial City: A Case Study of Łódź (Poland) 壁画作为后工业城市的旅游景点:以Łód罗兹(波兰)为例

Abstract The article presents the development of Łódź murals in the 21st c. and the opinions of the participants of tours organized in 2014 by the Urban Forms Gallery. Their objectives include saturating the urban fabric with street art and promoting this form of artistic expression. Having analysed memories registered and shared on YouTube, information published by local, national and foreign media, opinions posted by tourists and street-art lovers in online blogs and galleries, as well as the information about some artists on their websites, the author studied the opinions of tour participants as well and established the significance of Łódź murals. The analysis enabled her to look for the answer to the question whether murals can be a tourist attraction in a post-industrial city like Łódź.

Degraded Landscapes as a Tourist Attraction and Place for Leisure and Recreation 退化景观作为旅游景点和休闲娱乐场所

Abstract The aim of the article is to assess the role of degraded landscapes in tourism. The authors try to answer questions about the contexts in which such landscapes may be found in relation to those complex phenomena concerning the human need for travel, leisure, cognition and experience. They also pose questions about the physical and symbolic limits to tourism and recreation in degraded landscapes. The work is based on a literature review and observations on chosen degraded landscapes (mostly industrial and post-industrial) located at the Czech foreground of the Ore Mountains (Czech Krušné Hory, German Erzgebirge).

Physical Activity of Tourism and Recreation Students in Terms of Accessibility to Open Areas 旅游休闲学生的体育活动与开放区域的可达性

Abstract The aim of the article is to present the factors which affect the choice of place of recreation, as well as indicate the preferred forms of physical activity taken up there. The authors also discussed the relationship between distance from open areas and frequency of visits. Moreover, they evaluated current knowledge about the role of the natural environment as a physical recreation space. The research was conducted among a group of 305 physically active individuals (students of the Academy of Physical Education and Sport in Gdańsk), using questionnaires. The respondents defined the role of location in comparison to other motivational factors for a range of physical activities (recreation). They also spoke about their preferred forms of physical activity in the natural environment, compared to the roles of natural and human environments with regard to physical activity. They also provided an answer to the question whether an open area which does not provide respondents with an opportunity to undertake their favoured recreation would remain of interest. The study results demonstrate the unquestionable importance of having access to attractive natural surroundings with respect to physical activity. This allows a relation to be made between leisure in the natural environment and an improvement in the health of the physically active.

Assessment of Exercise Intensity During Amateur Running Competitions in the Sudety Mountains 苏台山区业余跑步比赛运动强度评价

Abstract The aim of the study is to determine the intensity of exercise during amateur running competitions taking place in the Sudeten Mountains, based on results of measurements of energy expenditure. The study covered those participating in 2015-17 and included details on themselves and their preparation. Their energy consumption was measured using a CALTRACTM device. Routes are described by distance (km) and altitude (m). Average energy output values for 19.2 km and 613.8 m were calculated from measurements taken which was characterized as ‘unduly heavy’. In women this value was 11.6 kcal/1 min/55 kg and in men - 12.7 kcal/1 min/65 kg.

Evaluation of the Quality of Tourist Packages in Tunisia by Polish Tourists: A Case Study Using the SERVPERF Method 波兰游客对突尼斯旅游包质量的评价——基于SERVPERF方法的案例研究

Abstract Polish tourists who decide to spend a holiday in various countries can be classified as ‘institutionalised’ tourists. They mostly choose tourist packages proposed by tour operators and their quality is one of the determinants of purchase. Although there have been many attempts at assessing the quality of single tourism services/products, no consistent methods for evaluation of the quality of services in a tourist package have been developed so far. Therefore, the present study proposes a subjective consumerbased research procedure to assess the quality of such a package. The procedure was prepared based on the example of an assessment of Tunisia tourist packages chosen by Polish tourists. The study procedure included the assumptions and principles of the SERVPERF method as well as a diagnostic survey and the use of descriptive statistics. The results are a starting point for formulating recommendations for tour operators offering Polish tourists basic packages in Tunisia.

They mostly choose tourist packages proposed by tour operators and their quality is one of the determinants of purchase. Although there have been many attempts at assessing the quality of single tourism services/products, no consistent methods for evaluation of the quality of services in a tourist package have been developed so far. Therefore, the present study proposes a subjective consumerbased research procedure to assess the quality of such a package. The procedure was prepared based on the example of an assessment of Tunisia tourist packages chosen by Polish tourists. The study procedure included the assumptions and principles of the SERVPERF method as well as a diagnostic survey and the use of descriptive statistics. Abstract In recent years the Stołowe Mountains National Park has become an increasingly popular destination for the purposes of mountain tourism. Such tourism takes different forms throughout the year, but the most common is hiking. Its continuing popularity results from the close contact with nature it provides, along with the possibility of active leisure pursuits and exploration. The aim of the study is to describe the motivations, preferences and leisure behaviours of hiking tourists who visit the Stołowe Mountains National Park, through survey-based research in 2015 and 2016. The study will highlight the relationship between the respondents’ characteristics and their motivations, preferences and behaviour, to identify the main kinds of tourists.

Pro-Ecological Hotel Policies as Assessed by Guests 客人评价的亲生态酒店政策

Abstract The purpose of the research was to learn whether pro-ecological policies are important to guests staying at hotels. It is based on a survey of 274 guests staying at 23 hotels in Poland. Research has shown that 32.1% of survey participants consider proecological issues when choosing a stay at a hotel. Close to 62% of guests believe that hotels should pursue such initiatives which are believed to yield environmental benefits, reductions in hotel operating costs, promotional effects, and a positive impact on a hotel's image. More than 35% of guests would be willing to pay more for a stay at a hotel that pursues environmentally-friendly policies. It is important to emphasize that pro-ecological activity is not used in hotel rankings in Poland.
