A nation with strong character can become a nation with dignity and respect by other nations in the world. There is a discipline which is a very important character to be applied in the previous educational environment and in tertiary institutions besides the responsibility discipline character education which is very important to be applied in the everyday environment. Seeing the current condition of students, students have experienced a decline in terms of applying the character of discipline and character of responsibility in carrying out lecture assignments. This study aims to analyze the character of discipline and responsibility through character education, describing the views of lecturers in shaping the character of discipline and responsibility in tertiary institutions. The research method used is qualitative research where the data collection technique is to review literature books, journal entries that have something to do with the problem being discussed. The results of the study can be concluded that in the implementation of discipline and responsibility character education for students there are internal and external factors that affect the decline in discipline and loss of student responsibility. One way to remove these obstacles is through habituation which can change the character of student discipline and responsibility. Character education in tertiary institutions is needed to form and develop students to become individuals with character and strengthen the character acquired by students at the previous level.

Literacy activities are carried out through habituation activities for all students in the school environment. The lack of use of reading corners makes literacy learning achievements not as expected. This study aims to explore the implementation of the reading corner program, literacy activities, reading skills, and the character of fond of reading elementary school students. This type of research is descriptive explorative with a qualitative approach. Data was collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study show that the reading corner program is part of the Bali Danu program, which is an attempt to update the previous program. The collection of books in the reading corner is used as reading material for school literacy activities, and educators use the reading corner as a place for discussion and self-development for students, especially in reading and storytelling activities. Through regular literacy activities and reading corners, students' reading skills and liking to read can be improved. In addition to using the reading corner as a place to read books, the reading corner becomes their class identity; there is a sense of belonging to the reading corner because students are directly involved in creating and maintaining the reading corner.

The obstacle in lecture class learning is the difficulty of understanding the learning of the courses. So the right learning media is needed to overcome these problems. This study aims to develop learning media for short films based on the local wisdom of Sanghyang Dedari to improve student character in multicultural studies courses. This type of research is a research and development (RnD) method with a 4-D model design. The sample of this study was determined using a proportional random sampling technique so that a sample of 22 people was obtained. The research instrument used in this product trial was a questionnaire—data analysis techniques using quantitative and qualitative analysis. The pre-test results obtained the lowest score of 56 and the highest score of 77. Post-test results are the lowest score of 80 and the highest score of 92. The effectiveness test results show a significant difference seen from the significance number between the pre-test and post-test scores with a significance value (2-tailed) p equal to 0.000 less 0.05. Based on the results of Paired Sample T-Test testing shows that there is a significant difference between the results of character improvement in pre-test data and post-test data, so from these results, it can also be concluded that through the short film learning media method based on local wisdom Sanghyang Dedari can improve the results of improving student character in multicultural studies courses.

Discipline is the right way to help students learn to live with good and useful habits. This paper aims to analyze the disciplinary construction of elementary school students in civics subjects. This type of research uses field research with a qualitative descriptive approach, namely a research process that produces descriptive data either in the form of writing or expressions obtained directly from the research field. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the results of research on the Disciplinary Construction of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Students in Civics Subjects that there are still some students who must be given affirmation regarding the level of discipline, while other students who are able to work well together and follow the applicable rules can change the teaching and learning process to be more conducive and directed through daily habits.

The lack of variations in the teacher's digital learning media that are under the characteristics of teaching materials and student characteristics in social studies learning has resulted in student limitations as the impact of low self-learning. This study aims to analyze digital comics' design, validity, and effectiveness. This research is a development research adapting the ADDIE development model. The subjects of this study included four experts and students. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires and learning achievement tests. Both quantitative descriptive analysis and inferential statistical analysis were used for the data analysis. The design of digital comics involved five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Product validity was determined according to learning content experts who obtained very good qualifications, instructional design experts who obtained good qualifications, learning media experts who obtained very good qualifications, the results of individual trials who obtained very good qualification, and the results of small group trials obtained very good qualifications. According to the findings of the study, digital comics are appropriate for use in elementary schools.

Individualism during group learning is a problem to be solved as it harms the mutual cooperation character of elementary school students. Therefore, this research aimed to analyze the effect of the Cag-cag folk game on strengthening the character of mutual cooperation in elementary school students. This research was a quasi-experimental study with a non-equivalent control group design. The population of this study was 681 students, and samples were selected using the cluster technique of random sampling. The observation was used as the data collection method. The data analysis involved descriptive and inferential statistical analyses and hypothesis testing using a polled variance t-test. The results showed that the calculated T value was 4.40, which was greater than the T table at the 5% significance level of 1.67, so it can be stated that there was a significant difference in students treated using the Cag-cag folk game. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that there was an influence exerted by the Cag-cag folk game on strengthening the mutual cooperation character of elementary school students.

This research aimed at examining character education for elementary school students in the NA.IX-X district is located of North Labuhanbatu Regency in terms of their creative character education, care for the environment, and friendly/communicative character. This research employed qualitative methodby descriptive approach. The sampling technique uses the slovin formula 150 respondents and key informants for grade 5 teachers. The instruments used for research were questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis include data reduction, data analysis, and conclusion drafting. Regarding the application of creative characters in the adequate category with a percentage of 44,53%, it has been demonstrated that students' creative characters are able to ask questions when there are learning difficulties through the use of declarative sentences. If there is content that they do not understand, they will always question the teacher until they do, as it is an added value that teachers provide to students who frequently ask questions. In addition, students' behavior in forming care for the environment behavior in this category is sufficient with a percentage of 75.99% indicating that trash is disposed of properly.Friendly/communicative character with a percentage of 44.53% indicates that elementary school students in Na district IX-X speak politely. According to teacher interviews, teachers constantly monitor students, particularly in terms of communication.

Corruption is a problem that is being faced by almost all countries in the world. One way to prevent corruption is to strengthen anti-corruption character education. This study aims to analyze the basic anti-corruption values based on local wisdom of the Malind tribe to strengthen the anti-corruption character for elementary school students in Merauke. This type of research is descriptive qualitative, with observation and interview data collection techniques. Observations were made by observing the environment and the life of the Malind tribe. Interviews were conducted with the adat leader, the adat secretary, as well as several Malind tribal communities. The results showed that in everyday life there are several local wisdoms or attitudes of the Malind tribe which are the same as anti-corruption values. These values are honest (hekaymayan), caring (anim bekatik), independent (anepkaitika), discipline (wetkatane), responsibility (weglah), hard work (payaa), simplicity (hayakla), courage (yaman), and just ( sangahawekla).
