Application of simulated annealing to biosignal classification and segmentation 模拟退火在生物信号分类和分割中的应用

Simulated annealing is no doubt one of the most popular optimisation methods. Like similar methods it is based on natural phenomena. In the paper two examples of how to use this method in medical applications are presented. In the first example the successfulness of simulated annealing is compared to a genetic algorithm on the problem of the optimal coefficients determination for cellular neural networks, when used for segmentation of ovarian ultrasound images. In this field the latter method produced better results. The second example discusses the usage of simulated annealing for optimisation of signal classification.

Case-based support of information retrieval and analysis of molecular data 基于案例的分子数据信息检索和分析支持

Nowadays databases offer great opportunities for collecting and analyzing data world wide via the Internet. Various databases are available, providing information about inborn errors of metabolism. Our system connects tools for data integration, combining data from these sources and preparing them in a well structured and uniform way, using the idea of federated database systems with methods of case-based analysis to detect inborn errors of metabolism.
