Abstract In this paper, the variation of functions has been defined, whose domain is a convex and compact set in the plane. Furthermore, in addition to presenting properties that satisfy this variation, the vector space formed by functions with finite variation is studied, demonstrating that it is a Banach space and its elements can be expressed as the difference of non-decreasing functions.

Study of the property (bz) using local spectral theory methods 用局部谱理论方法研究性质 (bz)

Abstract For a bounded linear operator, by local spectral theory methods, we study the property (bz), which means that the difference of the approximate point spectrum with the upper semi-Fredholm spectrum coincides with the set of all finite-range left poles. We will investigate this property under closed proper subspaces of X, also under the tensor product. In addition, the relationships of this property with other spectral properties are studied. Among others, we will obtain several characterizations for the operators that verify the property (bz) and show that the set of these operators is closed.

Saigo fractional q-integral involving the generalized q-hypergeometric series and a general class of q-polynomials 涉及广义 q 超几何级数和一类 q 多项式的西哥分数 q 积分

Abstract The fractional q-calculus has attracted the interest of a large number of academics over the last four decades or so, due mainly to a wide range of applications that cover natural sciences to social sciences. Many fractional q-calculus operators, particularly those involving various q-special functions, have been deeply studied and widely applied. In this paper, we aim to establish certain image formulas of Saigo fractional q-integral operators involving the product of generalized q-hypergeometric series and a general class of q-polynomials that are primarily expressed in terms of generalized q-hypergeometric series in a systematic manner. We demonstrate their use by studying q-Konhouser biorthogonal polynomials and q-Jacobi polynomials. Additionally, some fascinating special cases of our main findings are taken into consideration, and pertinent connections between some of the findings presented here and those from earlier studies are also made.

New definitions of fractional derivatives and integrals for complex analytic functions 复分析函数的分数导数和积分的新定义

Abstract In this paper, we introduce a ground-breaking approach to defining fractional calculus for a selected class of analytic functions. Our new definitions, based on a novel and intuitive understanding of fractional derivatives and integrals, offer improved mathematical tractability for a variety of applications, including physics, engineering and finance. Our approach significantly simplifies the complexity of mathematical functions compared to the traditional Riemann-Liouville approach, by using simple functions rather than special functions, while preserving the intrinsic sense of fractional calculus. This article not only presents our proposed definitions but also provides a thorough analysis of their properties and advantages. The conclusion of this paper discusses the potential for future research in the field of fractional calculus.

Acceptance sampling plans are commonly utilized for planning, process control, and implementation of industrial data sets. In addition to this, they also provide a solution for process quality control. They could be used for executing a decision for acceptance or rejection of a lot. A good acceptance sampling plan can be formulated depending on the requirements of the project. Usually, the plan should follow a defined lifetime distribution. Hence, the appropriate plan would not only determine the plan parameters but would also be cost and time efficient. In this article, an attribute multiple dependent repetitive group sampling (MDRGS) plan is developed assuming that the lifetime of the product follows the Marshall-Olkin logistic-exponential (MOLE) distribution. The parameters of plan are examined by considering a two-point approach. The suggested plan is contrasted with the single sampling and repeated group sampling plans. Finally, the implementation of the proposed plan is discussed using industrial as well as simulated data sets. It is concluded that the proposed plan reduces the sampling inspection cost and time as compared to existing acceptance sampling plans.

Ant colony algorithm to solve a drone routing problem for hazardous waste collection 蚁群算法求解危险废物收集无人机路径问题

Waste management issues are affecting the economic and environmental aspects of modern societies. Thus, growing the interest of academic and industrial research and development in optimizing the process of waste management. As these issues greatly impact human health and environmental aspects and impose a threat, hazardous waste management requires even much more attention. The problem studied in this research is a variant of the vehicle routing problem using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The focus of this research is on planning the routes for waste collection and disposal using a UAV. The aim is to collect all the waste as early as possible respecting two constraints; the maximum flying and load capacities of the UAV. A two-phase approach has been proposed to solve the investigated problem. This approach is a hybridization of a developed heuristic (IMWMTT) and an Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) algorithm. The experimental study showed that the hybrid approach outperforms a recently published heuristic MWMTT for all tested instances of various sizes.

A study on fractional order infectious chronic wasting disease model in deers 鹿分级感染性慢性消耗性疾病模型的研究

In this paper, the fractional order analysis of the behaviour of the four-dimensional chronic wasting disease (CWD) communities model has been presented. The complexity and dynamical behaviour of the CWD model have been calculated using two fractional derivatives. CWD, a neurological disease that affects deer, has resulted in many deaths and infections among deer populations around the world. To better understand and tackle this eco-epidemiological issue, we used two numerical schemes utilizing the Caputo fractional operator and the Atangana-Baleanu (AB) fractional operator. We have investigated the stability of the eco-epidemiological CWD model. The fixed point theory is a volumetric role play in analyzing the existence and uniqueness of the solution. We use bifurcation diagrams, time series diagrams, and phase diagrams to analyze fractional-order eco-epedimological systems with derivative orders and parameters varying. We examine the approximate result of the eco-epidemiological CWD model with the Atangana-Baleanu (AB) operator and the Caputo operator, and we also compare both solutions. We do a brief analysis of the simulated results, which reveals that the suggested methodologies are novel, dependable, and remarkably easy to implement. In addition to determining the direction, stability, bifurcating, and numerical solutions, graphic depiction and graph bifurcation provide better information about the proposed model.

Surface acoustic waves interaction with confined acoustic phonons in a coupled nanoridges dimer set atop of a multilayer design 在多层设计顶部的耦合纳米脊二聚体中,表面声波与受限声子的相互作用

We present a comprehensive study using finite element numerical analysis of the acoustic localized phonons supported by a gold nanoridges dimer-based multilayer design. The latter consists in a SiO2-substrate over which a gold film covered with a thin polymer is deposited. We investigate first the mechanical eigen-modes analysis of a single monomer ridge, where we find flexural and compressional type modes in the sub-GHz frequency range. This is realized by either setting the ridge in a periodic structure, which enables to get the dispersion curve of the modes, or by considering an isolated system bounded by perfect matched layers, where we use the equivalent of the local density of states to track the modes. A good agreement is obtained between the two methods. Similarly, we find in case of the coupled dimer ridges hybridized modes, namely the flexural and compressional modes of a monomer split-up into in- and -out-of-phase type modes. We demonstrate efficient coupling between the monomer/dimer localized phonons with surface acoustic waves (SAWs) as the simulated transmission spectra show dips at the frequencies of the monomer/dimer eigenmodes. For symmetry reasons, some of the dimer modes are expected to be optomechanically active. The proposed SAW-based device is meant to help design acousto-optic modulators or ultrasensitive sensors.
