Towards Gaussian Processes for Automatic and Interpretable Anomaly Detection in Industry 4.0 工业4.0中用于自动和可解释异常检测的高斯过程

Discerning unexpected from expected data patterns is the key challenge of anomaly detection. Although a multitude of solutions has been applied to this modern Industry 4.0 problem, it remains an open research issue to identify the key characteristics subjacent to an anomaly, sc. generate hypothesis as to why they appear. In recent years, machine learning models have been regarded as universal solution for a wide range of problems. While most of them suffer from non-self-explanatory representations, Gaussian Processes (GPs) deliver interpretable and robust statistical data models, which are able to cope with unreliable, noisy, or partially missing data. Thus, we regard them as a suitable solution for detecting and appropriately representing anomalies and their respective characteristics. In this position paper, we discuss the problem of automatic and interpretable anomaly detection by means of GPs. That is, we elaborate on why GPs are well suited for anomaly detection and what the current challenges are when applying these probabilistic models to large-scale production data.

Assessing Impacts of Vine-Copula Dependencies: Case Study of a Digital Platform for Overhead Cranes 评估藤-联结依赖关系的影响:高架起重机数字平台的案例研究

Usually, components in a system degrade simultaneously and, for processes such as maintenance, predictions of common failures due to degradation are needed to achieve accurate assessments for decision making. Vine copula approach used in this paper is one way of approaching dependency modelling, offering in addition, thanks to its features, flexibility when lack of data is an issue. Knowing that a multivariate vine copula approach does not have a regular structure, in this paper, we propose an algorithm to simulate correlated random numbers of a multivariate vine copula combining bivariate copulas, and the subject of study is the evaluation of the impact of the vine copula dependency structure in a risk-oriented Monte Carlo simulation model implemented in an online digital platform to support the maintenance strategies of a set of overhead cranes.

Reconfigurable Scheduling as a Discrete-Event Process: Monte Carlo Tree Search in Industrial Manufacturing 作为离散事件过程的可重构调度:工业制造中的蒙特卡罗树搜索

: In this paper we introduce a theoretical basis for reconfigurable makespan scheduling that is computationally-efficient and general purpose in manufacturing. A full-scale scale case study for batch production in the aerospace industry is shown. A knowledge-based Discrete-Event System, based on a Timed Petri Net, is injected with the initial - current - state and simulated to generate trajectories that represent valid possible schedules or policies analogous to the Monte-Carlo Tree Search (MCTS) planning algorithm. A new, concise, evolutionary metaheuristic is proposed called Elitist Trajectory Mutation (ETM) in order to exploit high performing schedules in localising search and optimisation. The advantage of this approach is reconfigurability, extensibility and ability to be parallelised to enable satisficing performance for real-time applications such as intelligent industrial cyber-physical systems scheduling, autonomous control of distributed systems and active industrial informatics.

Service Modelling Language Applied for Hyper Connected Ecosystem 服务建模语言在超连接生态系统中的应用

: The paper elaborates the application of service modelling language for hyper-connected ecosystems. A specific target is to demonstrate the use of ISO 19440 standard together with a set of specialized service modelling constructs developed in the scope of CEN TC310/WG1. It presents a conceptual use case to model a ‘Matching Service’ and the service system required to provide the Matching Service in a service ecosystem. The purpose of this study is to test and demonstrate the use of a service modelling language related to ISO19440:2020 to describe in a formal and systematic way a service and its needed service system at business level for communication and validation. The paper first presents the motivation of the study and recalls related works. The service modelling language and the background of this work are discussed. The Matching service use case will be presented in detail and the concluding summary as well as some outlooks are given at the end of the paper.

Reference architectures for Industry 4.0 tend to have a techno-centric orientation; their social dimension is usually restricted to specifying that users exist, and they have concerns that impact the architecture of desired systems. We take a step further to make the social element the core of future systems. A first step is to propose a reference architecture for Industry 4.0 cyber-physical social systems (CPSS), that builds upon proposals from well-known initiatives. Key differentiator in our design is the explicit consideration of the human – cyber-physical relation and the way the two sides influence or adapt to each other. The final aim is that architecture descriptions derived from this reference architecture, will enable the development of CPSSs capable of harnessing the power of the Internet of Things (IoT), while respecting the importance of their

DigiMove Analysis for Manufacturing SMEs to Identify Their Current Status and next Digitalisation Steps 为制造业中小企业提供数字化分析,以确定其现状和下一步的数字化步骤

: The digitalisation level of Finnish manufacturing companies must be improved in order to remain in Finland and keep the manufacturing industry competitive. Digitalisation was found to have a positive correlation with the business result. This was discovered by analysing the digitalisation level of 43 manufacturing companies in Finland. The analysis was performed with the DigiMove matrix, which contains the following six digitalisation subjects: i) Manufacturing, ii) Products and services, iii) Digital skills of production staff, iv) Foresight, v) Customer interface, and vi) Administrative functions. It also contains five maturity levels: i) General, ii) Improved, iii) Advanced, iv) Forerunner, and v) Future opportunity. Each cell in the matrix contains the description of the expected digital solutions to be used and implemented. These descriptions were discussed in detail with each company in the workshop, and their actual level of digitalisation was jointly defined. In addition to the instant analysis map created in the workshop, each company also received recommendations for their next digitalisation steps within a week. Subsequently, 43 DigiMove statistical analyses were conducted with the companies’ public financial data, and a positive correlation was found between digitalisation and the financial result.

Digitalisation was found to have a positive correlation with the business result. This was discovered by analysing the digitalisation level of 43 manufacturing companies in Finland. The analysis was performed with the DigiMove matrix, which contains the following six digitalisation subjects: i) Manufacturing, ii) Products and services, iii) Digital skills of production staff, iv) Foresight, v) Customer interface, and vi) Administrative functions. It also contains five maturity levels: i) General, ii) Improved, iii) Advanced, iv) Forerunner, and v) Future opportunity. Each cell in the matrix contains the description of the expected digital solutions to be used and implemented. These descriptions were discussed in detail with each company in the workshop, and their actual level of digitalisation was jointly defined. In addition to the instant analysis map created in the workshop, each company also received recommendations for their next digitalisation steps within a week.
