Historical-Cultural Psychology and professional orientation: experiences of young people mobilized by art The article presents the results of a master’s thesis, and aims to investigate the experience of senior high school students. Based on the dialectical materialist method, the information was constructed in 15 meetings, mediated by artistic expressions, with a Professional Orientation group formed by third year students of a private high school. Two categories of analysis were used: The silence that alienates X The silence that provides the critical analysis; Be recognized X Have unconditional acceptance. As a result, it was found that the young people seem to distance themselves from the possibilities of protagonism of their stories, and the Professional Orientation was configured as a space of resignification of the relation of the young people with the multiple scenarios that constitute their choices.

: Motivational inclinations of adolescents completing elementary school in Manaus from BBT-BR The completion of elementary school is an important event in a young person’s life, paving the way for educational and career choices, requiring self-knowledge of self and professions. This study aimed to characterize the motivational inclinations of ninth year students of elementary education in the northern region of Brazil, by examining the effect of the school origin, by evaluating, through the Photo of Professions Test (BBT-Br), 199 students of both sexes from Manaus public and private schools (AM), with an average age of 14.3 years. The results showed a motivational profile marked predominantly by the social sense (radical S), creativity (radical G) and logical reasoning (radical V), with specificities of interests according to sex and school origin. There were good indicators of BBT-Br reliability at this level of education.

Relationship between hope and career: a systematic literature review This study aims to characterize empirical studies that have related hope and career in the last 10 years. A systematic review of the literature was carried out with the combined keywords hope / esperança, career / carreira, work / trabalho, profession / profissão, career development / desenvolvimento de carreira, occupation / ocupação, in five databases. 124 articles were identified, 18 of which were analyzed in the following categories: theoretical definition of hope and instruments used, participants and study design, variables studied and main results. From the results, it is possible to identify that hope is an important variable in career development at different stages of the life cycle, indicating the relevance of its study and the construction of interventions.

Unemployment in people over 45 years old. A vicious circle? This work aims to determine the potentialities and access obstacles to employment shown by the unemployed and workers over 45 years old at risk of exclusion, as well as the existing social perceptions about this group, according to the experts’ perception. The research methodology used is mixed. The instrument used in the data collection process is the discursive interview with experts. The main results show how the most frequent perceptions, drawn from the experts’ discourse, conceive the unemployed over 45 years without training, as vulnerable people and with an uncertain labor future. The conclusions support the association between the most encouraging perceptions
