As the INFORMS community continue to follow the developments of the coronavirus outbreak, there are at least two important considerations for community, i e , potential impact on their professional activities and what they can do to contribute to the understanding of the coronavirus disease and the intervention efforts Here, Keskinocak suggests that historically, INFORMS community has developed and used O R and analytics methods to save lives, save money and solve problems, and help make the world a better place There is probably no better time to put their expertise and capabilities to good use!
