Exact closed-form expressions of the outage probability (OP) are obtained for the maximal ratio combining (MRC) diversity scheme in κ-μ shadowed fading channels with an arbitrary number of independent antennas. The scenario considered in this work assumes the joint presence of background white Gaussian noise and independent Rayleigh-faded interferers with arbitrary powers. The statistical characterizations, i.e., probability density function (PDF) and incomplete generalized moment-generating function (IG-MGF) of the κ-μ shadowed distribution are obtained in closed form. By utilizing the IG-MGF results, exact closed-form expressions for the OP of MRC are derived in κ-μ shadowed fading channels with mixed background noise and interference. Simulation results are included to validate the correctness of the analytical derivations. This set of new statistical results can be applied to the modeling and analysis of several wireless communication systems, such as body-centric communications.

Various kinds of information in large touch screen system need to be protected by various reasons so we need to hide them. One kind of image hiding selection algorithm is proposed here. The steps are as follows, the carrier image and secret message is obtained by pre-processing to get a most hiding matrix suitable for image and message, then secret message is hidden into the carrier image by using Kim's method. The final hidden image and the original carrier image is almost the same from the naked eye. Finally, a few tests are carried out and the test results suggest that the hidden effect of the whole scheme is good.

A method that optimizes formation control and obstacle avoidance strategy in restricted environment is proposed in this paper. First, in order to maintain the formation while avoiding obstacles under the restricted environment, rigid formation control is implemented as the solution. Second, comparing with static changing of formation, this method takes the width of the obstacle zone into consideration. With a formation base is proposed in this paper, multi-robot is able to adjust the formation from formation base based on real-time feedbacks. Finally, the feasibility of this method is proven by a number of simulations conducted on the AmigoBot robot platform.

To improve the aircraft's flight safety under the presence of turbulence, 4D (3D space plus time) trajectories optimization which based on pseudo-spectral method was proposed. Considered the characteristic of the 4D trajectories optimization for turbulence avoidance, aircraft dynamic model and turbulent Gaussian distribution model were elaborated, at the same time, the objective function and constraints were designed. Through numerical simulations, 4D trajectories for turbulence avoidance can be generated accurately using the proposed algorithm.

Camera calibration is necessary in machine vision application field. Calibration model has nonlinear characteristics, and establishment of mathematical model is often a complicated process, but neural network can solve the complex nonlinear problem effectively, neural network has strong nonlinear approximation ability, adaptive network parameters and fast learning. This paper presents a neurocalibration approach about camera calibration based on back propagation (BP) neural network optimized by genetic algorithm (GA), GA can optimize net parameters about connection weights and threshold values. Making a comprehensive comparison between GA-BP neural network and BP neural network. The experimental results show that the GA-BP neurocalibration can be effective and feasible by this way.

Hot-line Maintenance Robots are widely applied to the repair and maintenance of the transmission lines and electrical equipment. Hot-line operation tasks tend to complexity, diversity and harsh environments. Duce to the advantages of humanoid property, Hot-line Dual-arm robots will get more applied in areas such as detecting, repairing and maintaining of modern power grid. Currently, master-slave control is the normally used control mode for the Hot-line Dual-arm robots. So the tracking control technology is the key skill of the Hot-line Dual-arm operation. To guarantee the security, precision and dynamic property of the Hot-line Dual-arm operation, it is necessary to have a reliable tracking algorithm for Hot-line Dualarm robots. This paper presents a tracking control algorithm based on DMC for Hot-line Dual-arm robots. Simulation results demonstrate that this algorithm can reach a precise and effective tracking control of the robots.

Syntactic Parsing has played an important role in Natural Language Processing (NLP). The character of Traditional Mongolian is that “the predicate is generally at the end of the sentence, the other constituent can change location but the meaning of the sentence is not change”. According to this character, the paper propose a “from-bottom-to-top” method to analyze the sentence constituent. Part-of-Speech (POS) tagging is the first step of analyzing the sentence constituent. Marking POS of words and phrases based on the dictionary library and the rule base. After the preprocessing, the sentence is divided into several modules by keywords, “case”, phrase, and so on. Every module use the “from-bottom-to-top” method to analyze and label the sentence constituent.

The three-dimensional objects recognition has been the focus of research in computer vision, in which the 3D scanning system as the data acquisition means is the priority of research among priorities. In 3D scanning system, how to calculate the laser stripe center will directly affect the accuracy of three-dimensional reconstruction. By analyzing the distribution of the laser stripe images and drawing on the principle of wavelet analysis, this paper proposes the algorithm of the center of laser stripe based on multiple Gaussian signals fitting. More specifically, we use Gaussian signals with different expectation and variance as bases, according to certain rules of combination, to fit the cross section of the laser stripe image to the maximum extent. When the best fitting results have been found, we can achieve the optimal estimation of the laser stripe center in terms of the symmetry center of each Gaussian signals. The results of the scanning and reconstruction experiments prove that the proposed algorithm can maintain its effectiveness even though the symmetry of the pixels distribution cannot be met.

Sheet Metal Bending is a common process used in many heavy industry sectors such as shipbuilding. The traditional method is the so-called line heating, which is not only labor intensive but also inefficient and error-prone. This paper presents a new incremental bending method based on minimum energy principle. In this method, the steel blank is supported by an array of hydraulic cylinders with rotary head. This ensures the blank being properly lifted regardless of its shape and size. First, the incremental punching trajectory is generated based on the minimum energy principle. Assuming that the blank can be approximated by a number of strips and each strip is supported at its end. Then the strip can be described by a simply supported beam. According to the minimum energy principle, the punch location will be at where the error between the current shape and desired shape is maximum. Upon obtaining the punch location, the bending of the strip is also computed completing one incremental step. The new method is tested in a custom build incremental bending machine. Based on the experiment results, the method is successfully used in sheet metal bending. Comparing to the existing methods, the new method has a number of advantages, including simple, fast and highly energy efficient.

In this paper, a new type of flapping wing robot inspired by silver gull is designed, of which the flapping wings can fold and twist in highly bionic way. Firstly, the CAD model is built using SolidWorks. Secondly, the mathematical mechanism model is established to analyze the kinematic characteristics, meanwhile the kinematic simulations carried out with ADAMS. Finally, the physical flapping wing robot is manufactured. The design results can be used to provide reference for the bionic design of large birds.
