The lichen genus Sarcogyne (Acarosporaceae) in Belarus 白俄罗斯的 Sarcogyne(Acarosporaceae)地衣属

The lichen genus Sarcogyne in Belarus is revised. Three species are accepted as occurring in the country, namely Sarcogyne belarusensis, S. hypophaea, and S. pruinosa. Of these, Sarcogyne belarusensis is the most widely distributed and commonest species. Sarcogyne pruinosa and S. hypophaea are rare taxa known from two and one localities, respectively. Morphological characters of these species are provided in comparison with similar taxa.

Fourteen lichen species and three lichenicolous fungi were recorded for the first time for the Leningrad Region. The lichenicolous fungus Sclerococcum australe is new to Russia. Arthopyrenia cinereopruinosa, Aspicilia grisea, Buellia miriquidica, Catillaria atomarioides, Lithocalla ecorticata, Miriquidica intrudens, Rhizocarpon intermediellum, Sclerococcum amygdalariae, and S. parasiticum are new for North-Western European Russia.

Syntrichia ruralis as a suitable bioindicator for urban areas – the case study of Tallinn city 作为城市地区合适生物指标的农村鞘氨醇--塔林市案例研究

Environmental pollution is one of the most important problems in urban environment. Mosses are good indicatorsof air pollution. In Estonia, heavy metals have been measured from Pleurozium schreberi and Hylocomium splendens, whichdo not grow in areas of Tallinn with a higher pollution load. In the present study, Cu, Fe and Cd were measured from fivemoss species growing in contaminated as well less polluted areas of Tallinn. Based on stationary and street pollution sourceinventory and air pollution dispersion modelling, the long-term average concentrations of fine particles (PM10) and nitrogenoxides (NOx) in air were estimated. The work revealed that it is possible to find a moss species that is common in Tallinnand grows in both polluted and less polluted areas – Syntrichia ruralis, which is the most suitable species for bioindicationbased on this work. Moss species Ceratodon purpureus accumulated the most Cd, Cu, and Fe, then Brachytheciumrutabulum/Sciuro-hypnum curtum, and Rhytidiadelphus squarrosus the least. Statistically significant higher Fe concentrationswere in the Syntrichia ruralis, compared to the Sciuro-hypnum curtum and Rhytidiadelphus squarrosus. The Syntrichia ruralisalso had significantly higher Cd content compared to the Brachythecium rutabulum/Sciuro-hypnum curtum. The results ofthe GLM analysis showed that the content of various heavy metals depends on the moss species and the degree of fine particlesin the environment, and it didn't depend on whether the moss grows on the soil or a hard substrate such as concrete, stoneor asphalt.

Updates to the species list of Estonian bryophytes 更新爱沙尼亚红叶植物物种名录

Six species are new to the flora of Estonian bryophytes since the last additions: Bryum ruderale, Entosthodonfascicularis and Plenogemma phyllantha have been found during recent fieldworks; Encalypta driva is a newly described speciesand Lewinskya fastigiata is a new taxonomical combination. Moerckia flotoviana replaces the species Moerckia hibernica sinceall herbaria specimens are re-identified. After additions and re-arrangements, the number of bryophyte species known fromEstonia has risen to 618. For all new species, Estonian names are given, and they are evaluated against IUCN criteria. Twoof the species were included in category DD, because of shortage of data; Lewinskya fastigiata was evaluated as LC, andEncalypta driva and Plenogemma phyllantha as VU. The IUCN category of Moerckia flotoviana remained as it was for Moerckiahibernica (LC).

Tylopilus is a worldwide distributed genus of boletes with about 100 known taxa, of which at least 16 are fromBrazil and Guyana. Tylopilus dunensis, a species originally described from sand dune habitats in the state of Rio Grande doNorte in northeastern Brazil, has now been recovered in a ‘tabuleiro’ (i.e., tableland forest) from Paraíba. The main pheneticfeatures of this still poorly known species are the orange to orange-ochraceous pileus with yellowish brown margins, unchangingpileus context, the pale cream hymenophore with wide pores, the yellowish stipe, the small and narrow basidiospores, andthe long and frequent dextrinoid pseudocystidioid pleurocystidia. After the discovery of the phylloporoid tube trama in ourspecimens, we emended tube trama type of T. dunensis.

Morphological, chemical and phylogenetic examination of the lichen genera Hypotrachyna and Remototrachyna(Parmeliaceae, Ascomycota) revealed the presence of 12 species in northeastern Argentina. Three of them, H. osseoalba,H. subformosana, and R. costaricensis, are recorded for the first time for the country. The known distribution range of othereight species in the region is also extended. Distribution and comments are presented for all species, and descriptions andillustrations for most relevant records. The phylogenetic relationships of the species of Hypotrachyna and Remototrachynareported from northeastern Argentina are analyzed.

Here, we present new records of leprarioid lichens from the Commander Islands, including one species of Lithocalla and six species of Lepraria. Notably, we describe as new to science Lepraria tiinae, which is quite common in coastal biotopes of the archipelago. The main distinguishing phenotypic features of this new species include large granules of the thallus, a well-developed hypothallus, dark rhizohyphae, and the production of thiophanic acid, arthothelin, and dichlorolichexanthone. Additionally, three species of lichenicolous fungi or fungi associated with leprarioid lichens were found in the studied specimens, all of which are new to the Kamchatka Territory.

Notably, we describe as new to science Lepraria tiinae, which is quite common in coastal biotopes of the archipelago. The main distinguishing phenotypic features of this new species include large granules of the thallus, a well-developed hypothallus, dark rhizohyphae, and the production of thiophanic acid, arthothelin, and dichlorolichexanthone. Additionally, three species of lichenicolous fungi or fungi associated with leprarioid lichens were found in the studied specimens, all of which are new to the Kamchatka Territory.

Pyxine tiinae, a new foliose lichen species, is described from an alpine locality in Peru. The new species is character- ized by convex and radiating, grey lobes, a K– cortex and K– epihymenium, the presence of terpenes, and by comparatively long pycnoconidia. A phylogenetic analysis places P. tiinae as sibling to the genus Culbersonia, although the morphological characters do not fit with either this genus or with Pyxine as currently circumscribed.

Two lichenicolous fungi, Ceratobasidium bulbillifaciens and Sclerococcum phaeophysciae, and one lichen, Xanthoria aureola, are reported for the first time from Poland. For each species, the descriptions with notes on similar species, habitat preferences and general distribution are provided.
