The main purpose of the study is to optimize local aspects of state regulation of ensuring the safety and security of enterprises in the context of sustainable development in a particular region. For this purpose, a new methodical approach was presented using simulation optimization of the processes of ensuring safety and security of security of enterprises in the context of sustainable development. The study focuses on enterprises and their safety and security systems security in the context of sustainable development. The relevance of the study is given by the fact that most enterprises in many regions suffer from ineffective regulation at the local level. At the same time, in most cases, state regulation does not take into account all aspects of safety and security in the context of sustainable development. The research methodology involves the use of a modern method of process optimization modeling. As a result, a model for optimizing local aspects of state regulation of business safety and security for a specific, selected region in the context of sustainable development was presented. The research has limitations and they consist of the selection of only one region and the consideration of local aspects of enterprises of certain socio-economic systems. Prospects for further research will be devoted to expanding modeling and taking into account a larger number of enterprises in the context of sustainable development.

The object of the study is the business activity of socio-economic systems and their economic security. The scientific task is to model the stages and processes of e-commerce development in the framework of ensuring business economic security. The key problem is the lack of a clear methodological approach to modeling the development of e-commerce in the context of ensuring the economic security of business. A review of the literature showed that there is no single approach to solving this problem. The research methodology involves the use of functional modeling technology. This is achieved through a graphical modeling method. Based on the results of the study, the main model for the development of e-commerce in the framework of ensuring the economic security of business was presented. Each block has been modeled separately for better understanding. Social entrepreneurship as a specific kind of business has been developing in Latvia since 2018, and it is a little researched field. Achieving the goals of social entrepreneurship is facilitated by several factors, including the competences of the social entrepreneur him/herself. The present research aims to identify the general basic knowledge, skills and competences necessary for a social entrepreneur in Latvia. The authors made a review of theoretical literature on the role of managerial competencies in social enterprises and analysed the results of surveys of social entrepreneurs and their institutional partners – university teaching personnel – conducted in Latvia. The research found that there were areas of general knowledge, skills and competences of social entrepreneurs that were rated as equally important by both groups surveyed, yet the social entrepreneurs gave more importance to competences related to business goals and opportunities. The present research makes a scientific contribution in two aspects: 1) the identified general competencies required for a social entrepreneur could serve as a basis for further research to measure the actual competencies of social entrepreneurs; 2) the research contributes to an institutional framework for the social entrepreneurship ecosystem by developing recommendations for cooperation partners – those involved in adult lifelong learning, incl. universities, for the development of competencies in social entrepreneurs.

The speed of movement of goods, information and services determines the success and the efficiency of a transport company that wants to meet the needs of the customer. Consumers want better quality services, greater variety of products, more innovation and better service, but at a lower price, and in a shorter time. To fully satisfy the expectations of the consumers, a very large part of the role in business enterprises is played by the supply chain, the management of its processes, and ensuring the efficiency of them. The study involved 8 experts. One of the most important characteristics of experts is competence, therefore experts were required to have competence and experience in the field under investigation. Everyone must have a higher education and work experience of at least 5 years. All experts have 5–10 years of management experience in the supply chain of Lithuanian transport companies and have a higher education. The experts were asked to evaluate the main factors that determine the effectiveness of technological integration of marketing in a supply chain of a transport company. According to the experts’ assessments and calculations, the list of the importance of the main criteria of the impact of marketing technological integrations in the supply chain of a transport company should be arranged in the following order: customer relationship management in the supply chain, fast transmission of the information in the supply chain, electronic auctions in the supply chain, product innovations in the supply chain, and electronic catalogs in the supply chain.

Leaders play a pivotal role in shaping the trajectory of work programs and facilitating accomplishing of organizational goals. This study investigates the intricate relationship between leader power, decision-making, and organizational development. Drawing upon a quantitative approach, a structured questionnaire was administered to 386 civil servants to collect data. The empirical analysis employed the Smart-Partial Least Square (SmartPLS) software to examine the structural equation model. The findings substantiate the proposed model, revealing that decision-making partially mediates the association between leader power and organizational development. Interestingly, the direct effects of leader power and decision-making on organizational development are found to be more significant. These results underscore the paramount significance of effective decision-making and shed light on the nuanced interplay between leader power, the decision-making process, and organizational development.

Migration is one of today’s most sensitive and relevant topics. In 2022 alone, 32.5 million people worldwide will have left their country due to war, political instability, economic hardship, climate change, and other reasons. In recent years, the constantly growing flow of migrants to developed countries poses increasing challenges to the institutions and organizations of those countries, which are looking for new ways of integrating migrants into the social environment. It is difficult for state institutions that do not have the right tools to assess the integrity of the state, and it is difficult to control the ongoing migration processes and quickly make decisions regarding the increased flows of migrants, which could be solved promptly with minimal use of resources. One of the most important solutions for overcoming the challenges of migration is using a dynamic complex instrument that would allow us here and now to identify the causes of changes and efficiently mobilize the necessary resources to solve the challenges of migration that are usually not planned. The article aims to form a complex evaluation instrument to integrate migrants into the social environment. To achieve the goal, a systematic, comparative analysis of concepts and methods published in the scientific literature, statistical processing, and multi-criteria evaluation methods (COPRAS), and the method of determining weight coefficients (CRITIC) is applied.

Leadership has been widely studied worldwide, emphasizing changes that individuals with particular qualities achieve from the transformational and transactional. The objective is to evaluate the relationship between transformational and transactional leadership styles taking into account the effort and effectiveness perceived by followers in Ecuadorian public and private companies. Visions of seminal authors are analyzed on the subject Avolio and Bass, Emeka, Feliciano et al., Gutiérrez et al., Mirzani, among others. The research was quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and explanatory. The MLQ instrument (Avolio & Bass, 1991) was used, the sample was non-probabilistic for convenience, with 519 workers from Ecuador participating. SPSS V25 and SmartPLS4 software were used. Don’t exist significant differences in transformational leadership about gender, but there are in transactional leadership. By type of company, it was evidenced that there are no significant differences regarding transformational leadership, more so when analyzing transactional leadership. Men apply transactional leadership to a greater extent than women, demonstrating that transformational leadership is applied in the private sector in a higher percentage. Gender moderates the relationship between transformational leadership and effort, as well as the relationship between transactional leadership with effort and effectiveness. No evidence of any moderating effect of company type on the relationship between leadership styles and effort was found.

In order to survive, Ukrainian enterprises in the conditions of war must look for new ways of effective management, a higher degree of integration of risk management and strategic management. Management accounting helps make risk-based decisions to achieve strategic goals. The expert survey method made it possible to identify the most significant risks for enterprises in Ukraine in war conditions: the risk of increased costs, reduced income, the risk of inability to repay obligations, loss of customers, non-payment of receivables, loss of asset value, risk of unprofitability, reduction of business and bankruptcy. The strategic management accounting risk matrix shows the probability and potential impact of each risk on accounting data. A strategic plan and measurement of the effectiveness of risk-oriented strategic management accounting was developed. It shows the relationship of accounting objects, the financial statements of the enterprise, with analytical indicators for assessing the financial condition and the impact of risks under pessimistic, optimistic and optimal scenarios. In practice, it helps to identify risks, determine their impact on enterprise performance indicators, model indicators, assess their compliance with strategic goals, adapt in a timely manner, and make effective management decisions.

The objective of the article is to develop and test in practice a mechanism for constructing AI/ML-based predictions, adapted for use in the system of government socio-economic administration in Ukraine. Research design is represented by several methods like qualitative analysis in order to identify potential benefits of AI use in different spheres of government administration, synthesis to generate new datasets for the experiment, and abstraction to abstract from the current situation in Ukraine, population displacement, uneven statistics reporting. Among empirical methods are prediction and experimental methods to construct a mechanism for the implementation of AI/ML prediction methods in public administration, develop a high-level architecture of the AI/ML prediction system, and create and train the COVID-19 prediction neuron network. A holistic vision of the AI/ML-based prediction construction mechanism, depending on data taken from state official online platforms, is presented, in addition, the ways of its possible practical application for the improvement of the national system of state socio-economic administration are described. The main condition and guarantee of obtaining accurate results is access to quality data through platforms such as Diia, HELSI, national education platforms, government banks, etc. The findings of the research suggest that wide implementation of AI/ML-based prediction technologies will allow the government in perspective to increase the efficiency of the use of budgetary resources, the effectiveness of the government target programs, improve the quality of public administration and to better satisfy the citizens’ demand. Future studies should be done to overcome the limitations of the approach: find a way to protect and extract sensitive information from government platforms, fight neural network bias, and create a more perfect system that is able to make multiparameter predictions and is also self-improving on the basis of the obtained results.

This paper examines the importance of marketing and relational capital in value addition. We studied the effect that relational capital has in the timber and related industries of Galicia (Spain) and Portugal for 2002–2018. The industry is characterized by a large number of SMEs, many of them operating in the subsistence and unorganized sectors. Direct marketing and personal contacts with clients are forms of enhancing the relational capital and to add value. The wood sector was divided into three major groups, namely: extraction, conversion and finished products, and using a panel data model, the value addition created by relational capital and the effect that direct marketing can have on the business were measured. While relational capital helps in creating value, its effect is not the same in every sector, implying that much has to be done by managers and CEOs to improve company relationships with stakeholders to develop business alliances.
