Up to these days, development control still is not well-explored as to operational guidelines and applications. In this report, the author brings forward his observations regarding software development management organisation, gives options of management configuration, as well as discussion and analysis thereof. The author suggests a scheme of development documentary support which improves quality, portability and makes easier further support of developed software.

Generation of test scripts for application with GUI optimized for manual execution 为应用程序生成测试脚本,并为手工执行优化GUI

The article describes the method for constructing sequences of user actions that are optimized for manual execution, based on the model in the form of a diagram of states and transitions. Scenarios for such implementation requires, primarily, when the GUI is the only way to interact with the application, but its implementation does not provide or make economically viable software emulation effects through it. Secondly, the test kit to perform the manual test may be necessary to assess the practicality of the graphical user interface to verify its compliance with selected standards and user acceptance testing

Improvement in software development process is a permanent challenge in software engineering where version control systems are permanently supporting the process. For achieving follow improvement we need a better understanding of the versioning domain. Starting from granularity elaboration of versioned object in this article we shall try to actuate toward the issue of classification of versioned object according to their place in software development process. Moreover, the article is to be a trigger for augmentation the scope of versioning systems by supporting of trace links among versioned objects.

Quality Assurance in practice or how to make project audit really useful 质量保证的实践或如何使工程审计真正有用

History of Quality Assurance as discipline continues for a long time. Opinions about importance and usefulness such kinds of work are very different - from absolutely negative till perfectly overrated. In current paper practical approaches for quality assurance implementation in Luxoft are described, such as project audit, assessment and evaluation types, methods of data processing, results presentation and storage, automated and tool support. On basis of in-house experience and eight-year quality assurance evolution in Luxoft authors give some recommendations about different variants of project audits, as well analyze feasible practical results which could be reached against established goals.

Efficiency of usage of automatic tests in IT projects 在IT项目中使用自动测试的效率

Time goes forwards, IT-projects become more difficult and more expensive, acquire new links and technologies. To please efficiency, IT-commands balance on the edge between an economic gain of the project and obligations on periods and quality. Keeping up to date, some managers start to using actively testing automation at own risk, without an estimation of possible efficiency of its application. Others prefer to minimise usage of autotests, assuming their too difficult and ineffective. It is very difficult to IT Manager to define efficiency of the automated testing. He not always needs to rely on subjective opinion of experts and testers as it is grounded on experience of those projects in which experts participated. This manuscript is grounded on the data about application of autotests in successful IT projects and urged to generate for the reader an objective view on criterion of efficiency of autotests in various projects.

Causal analysis: Rational simplicity works 原因分析:理性的简单有效

Causal Analysis is a powerful process improvement tool and a required practice in ISO and CMMI. Since wide use of traditionally recommended analysis methods requires much effort, many companies prefer formal analysis implementation for “certification” purpose only, thereby losing a beneficial opportunity. According to Luxoft experience, the two major challenges of the causal analysis are the selection of problems and defects, correction and prevention of which is most effective; and finding root causes underlying those problems as deep as possible. One of the possible solutions to the problems is within the simplest causal analysis methods and determined procedures on the project level combined with complicated quantitative analysis on the organizational level. The results are proved by effective treatment of the root causes, improved process indicators, and wide implementation in practice.

It is well known fact that a big part of illnesses is easier for preventing, than for curing. The problems for preliminary diagnostics of disease are analyzed. This report describes the net of the wireless medical devices for the lifetime monitoring of a current health status of the patient. The system has built on the Microsoft. NET Micro Framework technology. This variant of architecture of the system is created by analogy with system of the space objects exploration and integrated with the Microsoft Health Vault Services.

Designing patterns to support heterogeneous enterprise systems lifecycle 设计支持异构企业系统生命周期的模式

Enterprise software system (ESS) development is essentially complicated by increasing amount of data, its exponential growth and heterogeneous nature of systems components concerning to systems structuring and architecture. However, it appears that an integrated approach to ESS lifecycle support (including mathematical models and supporting CASE-tools) could help to outline component-level metadata pattern design. These patterns allow to efficiently organize ESS lifecycle by increasing the reuse of the software artifacts and by accelerating ESS adaptation to rapidly changing business requirements. The paper outlines the approach and discusses its possible implementations.

Nowadays the same task in the field of RIA technologies can have different solutions because of many RIA technologies and platforms. RIA technology users get a set of powerful tools for solving different tasks, but these technologies are not compatible and also users can't use different technologies because of their overall complicity and incompatibility. Also it's rather hard and expensive for specialist to change base technology. This report is about concept of a specialized service for single group of all RIA technology users, a service for animators. The aim of a service is to solve problems connected with different animation formats incompatibility. Also service must solve standard business-task: to compensate investments and bring profit. The concept of a service solves several modern problems which appear during the process of development and support of mass multiuser software.
