Determinant based codebook search for correlated massive MIMO channels 基于行列式的相关海量MIMO信道码本搜索

In this paper, we consider the complexity problem related to the selection of the optimal codeword matrix in large size codebooks used in massive MIMO systems. We propose a novel determinant based search method that makes use of the optimality of the statistical precoding in correlated MIMO channels. Codebook (CB) search complexity is reduced by focusing the search process to a smaller set of admissible codewords thus minimizing the computational complexity when performing the brute force scan for the best codeword. Simulation results show that our algorithm not only provides a good tradeoff between complexity reduction and performance, it also provides robustness against channel estimation errors in comparison to other hierarchal codebook search algorithms.

A low-power, 2.4 GHz, class AB power amplifier (PA) for Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) applications was designed using load-pull te chniques in TSM C 0.18 μm pr ocess. Measurement results show ed a power gain of 14 dB, an input return loss Su of −14.5 dB, and an output return loss S22 of −26 dB at 2.4 GHz. The PA achieved a maximum power-added efficiency (PAE) of39.5 % while delivering 9.5 dBm of power at an input 1 dB compression of-1 dBm. The PA consumed 6 mW from a 1.8V supply. In addition, a class F PA with maximum PAE of 47 % at 2.4 GHz was designed using the third harmonic peaking technique in T SMC 0.18 μm technology. Although class F PA achieved better PAE, it consumed 50% more area compared to the designed class AB PA.

Hybrid DCT/Quantized Huffman compression for electroencephalography data 混合DCT/量化霍夫曼压缩脑电图数据

In this paper, We implement the Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) coding (lossy compression method) followed by the proposed coding technique which called “Quantized Huffman Coding” in order to minimize the EEG data size. Therefore, adding a lossless compression algorithm after the lossy compression is a good idea to get a high compression ratio with acceptable distortion in the original signal. Here, we use DCT encoder followed by either quantized Huffman Coding or Run Length Encoding (RLE) then compare between them. Our work shows that, at the same Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), the quantized Huffman coding outperforms the RLE in some aspects as Compression Ratio (CR) and time consumed in compression and decompression, but Structural Similarity Index (SSIM) is the same for the two techniques.

Geometry effect on a multilateration air traffic surveillance system performance 几何效应对多层空中交通监视系统性能的影响

Nowadays, many researchers pay much attention to Multilateration localization process in air traffic control. This paper deals with system geometry effect on target localization process. Modifications are proposed in both the sensors deployment network and the algorithm sequence used. The work will be on a 3 steps: First, working on a small cell network taking minimum number of sensors. Different optimal sensor deployment methods will be examined and a pilot area will be chosen from a Multilateration network at Cairo International Airport, 05L Runway (RW). Simulation for a single aircraft is performed and the results are compared. Second, the deployment method that gives the best results in a small cell network will be considered and a new sensors deployment covering an area larger than the existing one is proposed, trying to have the same performance of the existing system with the advantage of decreasing the number of sensors. Simulation is performed again for both the total proposed network and the total existing Multilateration deployment network and the results are compared. Finally, the proposed Multilateration network is divided into 9 main clusters and 4 backup clusters instead of using all sensors in localization process, and the cluster that has the least PDOP (position dilution of precision) is selected. To enhance the localization process only the cluster that has least PDOP < 21 is selected. Otherwise, are rejected.

Taxonomy of security attacks and threats in cognitive radio networks 认知无线网络中安全攻击和威胁的分类

Cognitive radio networks (CRNs) are thought to be the most encouraging solution in enhancing the spectrum utilization and solving the spectrum scarcity, however due to the nature of these intelligent networks and its accessing methods from licensed and unlicensed users, CRNs are exposed to different types of threats and attacks from different malicious users more than traditional wireless networks, which can affect the network availability and performance. In this paper, recent security attacks and threats on CRNs will be investigated and introduced in order to study the security aspects for CRNs that can be used to guard and secure CRNs from the well-known attacks.

High CMRR and wideband current-mode instrumentation amplifier using fully differential operational floating conveyor 采用全差动浮动输送机的高CMRR和宽带电流模式仪表放大器

This paper presents a current-mode instrumentation amplifier (CMIA) based on the fully differential operational floating conveyor (FD-OFC). The FD-OFC, as a novel general purpose building block introduced by the authors, has the advantages of fully differential signal processing like higher design flexibility and higher noise rejection. The proposed CMIA provides wide bandwidth reaches 975 MHz and high CMRR exceeds 240 dB. The simplicity of the design is one of its advantages where only one FD-OFC is required and it can operate under biasing condition as low as 1.2 Volt. The operating conditions recommend the proposed CMIA to be integrated to wide range of low power high speed application, particularly when a high CMRR is required. The terminal behavior of the proposed design is mathematically modeled and its operation is simulated using the UMC 130 nm technology kit in Cadence environment.

Design and implementation of low cost active integraded microstrip circular polarized antenna for GPS application 低成本GPS有源集成微带圆极化天线的设计与实现

In this paper, an active integrated circular polarized microstrip antenna (AICPMSA) for satellite receiver applications operating at GPS LI band is introduced. The active part is a low noise amplifier (LNA) designed using ATF-21170 high performance gallium arsenide Schottky barrier-gate field effect transistor (FET) housed in a hermetic. For the LNA design, a good trade-off between low noise figure, forward gain and stability has been achieved. Optimized LNA has −15.17 dB input return loss (Su), high gain (S2i) of 12.35 dB, and noise figure (NF) of 0.625 dB at 3 V biasing voltage. The LNA offers circuit stability parameter K=2.13. A circularly polarized (CP) antenna was designed for operation at GPS LI band. The antenna is a patch loaded with four V shaped slit and four circular slits for each quarter to reduce the patch size. The antenna designed as two layers with proximity coupled feed to increase the bandwidth. Also, the CP antenna was designed on low-cost lossy FR-4 substrate with comparison between simulated and measured results. The output gain for integrated system includes the proposed LNA and proposed antenna was more than 10 dB and NF less than 0.7dB.

Also, the CP antenna was designed on low-cost lossy FR-4 substrate with comparison between simulated and measured results. Integrated IoT medical platform for remote healthcare and assisted living 集成物联网医疗平台,用于远程医疗和辅助生活

Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) is receiving significant attention due to its promise to uplift the healthcare sector in general, and to promote care for the frail and aging patients in particular. The Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) technology is a key facilitator for AAL. IoMT provides medical services that make smart hospital, doctors and patients interact in harmony leading to elevated healthcare levels. In this paper, we develop an integrated medical platform for remote health monitoring. The proposed multi-layer architecture senses and collects information about the patient vitals alongside his/her surrounding environment. Then, it relays such information to a cloud for storage and data analysis where further actions are applied for a better end user experience. Such data is accessible to the patient's healthcare providers and remote family members through a mobile application. We built and tested a prototype of the proposed IoMT architecture to illustrate how it achieves the AAL goals.

Energy harvesting enhancement of nanoantenna coupled to geometrie diode using transmitarray 利用发射阵列增强几何二极管耦合纳米天线的能量收集

This paper introduces the using of rhombus shaped dipole nanoantenna coupled to geometric diode for energy harvesting at 19.4 THz. An arc-shaped geometric diode is placed in the gap between the dipole arms. The diode I-V characteristics are investigated using the Monte Carlo simulation. Two approaches for enhancing the received voltage of nanoantenna energy harvesting at 19.4 THz are investigated. In the first approach, a transparent trasmitarray is used to focus the electromagnetic waves on the surface of the nanoantenna coupled to the geometric diode. The received voltage is increased from 16.5 μV for single nanoantenna to 97.6 μV for the transmitarray coupled to the nanoantenna. In the second approach, Yagi nanoantenna arrangement is used to enhance the directivity of the single element that coupled to the transmitarray.

Multisource multirelay scheme within an underlay cognitive radio network 底层认知无线网络中的多源多中继方案

This paper investigates the performance of Multisource Multirelay Cognitive Radio Network (MMCRN). Underlay spectrum sharing is used to achieve efficient spectrum utilization while limiting the interference level on the Primary User (PU) with an average interference power constraint. One source and one relay are selected for Secondary User (SU) transmission based on maximizing the SU effective capacity (EC) of the transmission channel. Practically, this paper studies the MMCRN with assuming Imperfect Channel State Information (ICSI) of the interference link between the SU source (SS) and the PU destination (PD). Performance analysis measurement in terms of SU EC is derived for the proposed system model when there is an average interference power constraint and with considering ICSI. The proposed numerical analysis demonstrates the quasi-optimal number of relays that should be used to obtain an efficient SU EC. In addition, the obtained results investigate the effect of the interference channel imperfection on the measurement metric with different parameters such as the number of SUs and the SU statistical delay QoS constraint.
