TALES IN TECH 科技故事

Integration of digital storytelling in education has transformed traditional teaching methods to foster active student participation in classroom settings. With the increasing use of digital storytelling, there is a necessity to delve deeper into its effective implementation, effects, and the changing learning environment. The lack of a comprehensive understanding has emphasized the need to fully leverage digital storytelling to enrich students’ learning experiences. Therefore, this scoping review aims to investigate the effectiveness of digital storytelling in different educational settings and explore the challenges related to digital literacy skills met by teachers and students, impacting the efficient implementation of digital storytelling. Using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA), a total of 51 articles from 2019 to 2023 were selected from Scopus in order to illustrate the current state. The articles were analyzed based on their similarities, and the results were tabulated in the following tables. The findings concluded that digital storytelling is an excellent method for improving literacy abilities, enhancing computational thinking and developing digital knowledge and intelligence among students. The findings also implied that longitudinal studies should be conducted more in the future to figure out how digital storytelling affects students' academic and career growth over time.

SOCIAL PROFILES OF TURKISH CHILDREN AND YOUTH LITERATURE AUTHORS 土耳其儿童和青少年文学作家的社会概况

When examined the national and international literature, there are very few studies on the social profiles of the artists working in the fields of children and youth literature. The scarcity of existing studies in the field in terms of quantity has been the starting point for this study. In this study, the profiles of 577 authors in Hasan Latif Sarıyüce's encyclopedia of Turkish children's and youth literature were examined in terms of gender, date and place of birth, educational status, father's profession, own profession, literary genre, the number of awards they received, and foreign expansion variables. The study was qualitative, and the data were analyzed using content analysis technique. According to the results obtained in the study, it is evident that the number of authors who wrote works in the field increased after the Republic period. The gender role of most authors was male. The artists were mainly born in the western provinces of Turkey. The fathers of the artists were mostly soldiers, teachers, and members of parliament. When the professions of the artists are examined, it is seen that they are mostly teachers, authors, and civil servants. It has been seen that artists mostly produce poems, stories, and novels. Few artists in the field have received awards. The number of authors whose works have been translated into foreign languages is also very low. Some suggestions are presented based on the findings obtained from the study.

MANAGING ONLINE TEACHING ACTIVITIES AT VOCATIONAL COLLEGES 管理职业院校的在线教学活动

Online teaching activities in recent years have achieved certain results. Most teachers and administrators of colleges and intermediate schools have practical experience in online training. However, this activity is still not highly effective due to a lack of systematicity and synchronization. Specifically, technical means for teaching and learning in difficult and remote areas are inadequate; Online teaching methods are unattractive. Besides, the classroom management method is not really appropriate. Based on an overview of previous studies, 203 people were surveyed (n = 203); in which, the management staff is 22 people (n1=22), the lecturers of vocational colleges are 181 people (n2=181). This study shows that if we want to improve online teaching activities at Vocational education establishments need to have appropriate management measures. This study also clearly shows the role and importance of managing online teaching activities at vocational education institutions. At the same time, based on assessing the current situation and analyzing the causes of problems, this study recommends management solutions to improve the quality of online teaching activities at vocational education institutions.

DESIGN FEATURES OF THE ENVIRONMENT OF EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS 教育机构环境的设计特点

The article focuses on elucidating the distinctive aspects of designing the environment within educational institutions. It identifies the typical characteristics of design found in domestic higher education institutions, encompassing architectural solutions and functional concepts, as well as principles governing the division of educational spaces and zones. The article also examines the influence of classroom design on academic performance effectiveness. Notable illustrations of contemporary design within the educational environment of Ukrainian higher education institutions are presented. Additionally, the article explores design and architectural solutions employed in educational institutions abroad. Furthermore, the article puts forth original approaches toward shaping a modern design framework for educational institutions' environments. This research aims to uncover the specific characteristics associated with the design of educational institution environments. The object of investigation is the educational institution itself, viewed as a subject for design and architectural solutions. Research methods. The research employed various methods including description, analysis and synthesis, comparison, generalization, and modeling. The article delves into the distinct features associated with the design of educational institution environments. It identifies the defining characteristics of design within Ukrainian higher education institutions, explores the rationale behind such design approaches, and examines the evolution of design in the modern era. The study establishes the key aspects related to the design of specific educational spaces such as study rooms, lecture halls, specialized discipline offices, and computer rooms within Ukrainian higher education institutions (hereinafter HEIs). Additionally, recreational areas are characterized as a unique type of educational space, providing students with an opportunity to rest during breaks and prepare for upcoming classes. The study presents an analysis of the merits and drawbacks of the design of educational environments in contemporary domestic higher education institutions. It discerns the distinctive attributes within each category and assesses their influence on students' academic performance. Moreover, the study emphasizes the emerging trends that should be pursued in the development of modern HEIs design. The article uncovers the distinctive characteristics of designing educational institutions both in Ukraine and abroad. It emphasizes the particulars of designing lecture halls, study rooms, specialized rooms, and laboratories. Building upon the obtained results, this research develops approaches and principles for shaping the design of educational institution environments in Ukraine.

EXAMINING SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS FOR CURRENT SITUATION OF INCLUSIVE EDUCATION POLICIES AND PRACTICES IN KAZAKHSTAN UNIVERSITIES 根据哈萨克斯坦大学全纳教育政策和实践的现状审查可持续发展目标

Sustainable Development Goals become guide for future of education. For the quality of education, countries try to reshape educational policies and strategies. Especially inclusiveness plays a great role to achieve quality of education for the future of education. This research aims to evaluate current situation of inclusive education in Kazakhstan Universities in order to foster existing practices and policies. In this respect, survey and semi structured interview were conducted to determine current situations to 200 participants. It is revealed that  definition of inclusive education can be categorized as giving equal education rights, reintegrating students with disabilities into society, inclusion of people with disabilities in the social process, diversity and tolerance, right of access to education. The majority of the research participants expressed a positive opinion towards inclusion. Challenges in inclusive education are infrastructure issues, lack of awareness, teacher lack of knowledge, insufficient training programs and lack of community awareness.
可持续发展目标成为未来教育的指南。为了提高教育质量,各国都在努力重塑教育政策和战略。尤其是全纳教育在实现未来教育质量方面发挥着重要作用。本研究旨在评估哈萨克斯坦大学全纳教育的现状,以促进现有的做法和政策。为此,对 200 名参与者进行了调查和半结构式访谈,以确定其现状。研究结果表明,全纳教育的定义可归纳为:给予平等的受教育权、让残疾学生重新融入社会、将残疾人纳入社会进程、多样性和宽容、受教育权。大多数研究参与者对全纳教育持积极态度。全纳教育面临的挑战包括基础设施问题、缺乏意识、教师缺乏知识、培训计划不足以及缺乏社区意识。

HARMONISATION OF THE EUROPEAN EDUCATION AREA 欧洲教育领域的协调

Objective. The purpose of this article is to study the impact of science and education on the efficiency of social production and quality of life in the context of global integration processes. Methods. The methods used in the study are literature review, statistical data analysis, and empirical research. To obtain the results, we analysed data on the quality of education and research in Ukraine and other European countries. Results. The study found that the quality of education and research is crucial for the competitiveness of society in the context of globalisation and rapid changes in the economy and technology. Scientific achievements and educational standards are key indicators of a state's readiness to meet the challenges of the present and its ability to attract investment, attract talented young people, and ensure sustainable economic dynamics. Conclusions. The obtained results emphasise the critical role of education and research in the process of achieving sustainable development of society. The need for targeted improvement of education and support for research is recognised as a key factor in achieving a high quality of life, competitiveness, and prosperity of the country. Prospects. Future research could expand the understanding of the interaction between education, science, and the economy in a globally competitive environment. The impact of digital transformation on educational and scientific processes should also be investigated, and practical models of cooperation between universities and the private sector should be developed to stimulate innovation and societal development.

Research on the origins and functioning of the Wroclaw School of Musicology in the first half of the 20th century. is relevant, since the development of new approaches in modern Ukraine requires the broadest historical generalizations, while the general indicator of the genesis and results of the development of the relevant links of educational institutions indicated in the special literature is not sufficiently covered in the scientific works of Ukrainian and foreign musicologists until our time. This is connected not only with the discovery and analysis of new documentary materials and facts, but also with the unfortunate lack of regular cooperation between the musicology centers of Wroclaw and Lviv at the scientific and educational and methodological levels in the modern period. University musicology of the Wrocław school in the forms of musicological embodiments of the concept of a higher school has become an important factor in the educational completeness of professional musical training, taking into account the organic interaction of the higher level of music schooling with primary and secondary levels, which is broken in the modern Western European music-educational system.

The connection between speech and cognitive impairments may be the key to understanding more general mechanisms of children's brain development. The identification, analysis, and understanding of speech impairments open up opportunities for the development of new teaching methods, rehabilitation programs, and support for children and their families in overcoming such difficulties. Particular attention should be paid to a multidisciplinary approach to the study of this issue. This approach combines the efforts of psychologists, educators, speech therapists, and medical professionals. This study aimed to investigate the neuropsychological features of cognitive functions of junior pupils with speech impairment. The research employed a comprehensive methodology based on neuropsychological tests and theoretical studies. The authors found that speech disorders among junior pupils indicate the presence of speech difficulties. Moreover, they can also be indicators of certain cognitive developmental disorders. Such peculiarities in speech and cognitive functions can lead to problems in learning, social integration, and emotional well-being. A timely detection of these features and their subsequent correction are the keys to ensuring optimal conditions for the child's development and successful societal adaptation. The main value of this study comes from the fact that it offers a holistic view of the problem. Moreover, it focuses on the broad context of influence shaping speech and cognitive development. The article is recommended for consideration by specialists in the fields of education, psychology, and medicine who are interested in expanding their knowledge and improving their practical skills in working with children with special needs.

The development of speech culture and communication processes has been influenced significantly by the evolution of communication itself, marked by the incorporation of stable expressions, phrases, and fixed lexical combinations. This transformation has entailed a reevaluation of content and the author's intended message, particularly within the domain of phraseological units. A pivotal area of inquiry within contemporary linguistics involves the assessment of the quality of phraseological unit usage, the delineation of classification approaches, and the formulation of systematization methods tailored to the stylistic and contextual attributes of these linguistic constructs. This article undertakes an examination of the structural components inherent to phraseological units in modern linguistics. Furthermore, it investigates the intricacies of their semantic structure, their contextual utility, and their applications across diverse modes of communication. The article comprehensively considers the intricacies surrounding the evolution of language and the concurrent emergence of new phraseological units. It also addresses the influence of scientific and technological progress, which contributes to the development of novel forms and categories of phraseological units. The distinctiveness in the formation of phraseological units within various language groups can be attributed to a combination of factors, including folk traditions, the written cultural legacy, the creative endeavours of the populace, and the transformation of cultural paradigms. Furthermore, the article emphasizes the significance of systematizing phraseological units, with an emphasis on achieving a qualitative categorization of the most prevalent lexical constructions within the respective language groups under consideration. This article undertakes an in-depth examination of the mechanisms responsible for the generation of phraseological units, as well as the distinctive characteristics in comparing such units across diverse language groups. It also incorporates a comprehensive semantic analysis aimed at elucidating the content and avenues for reinterpretation inherent to phraseological units.

TEACHING AVIATION ENGLISH 航空英语教学

Teaching aviation translators involves the simultaneous provision of broad branch competence and narrow specialization. This study is aimed to test whether the application of the Content and Language Integrated Learning Method (CLIM) is effective while teaching Aviation English and enhancing translation skills at the aviation university. The experimental study was conducted within the framework of an elective course designed as an English language program with a professional focus on "Translation in the Aviation Industry" for future graduates majoring in Translation. The experiment involved 95 students, with one academic group designated as the experimental group (n = 44) and the second as the control group (n = 51). The study followed a pretest-posttest experimental design. In the pretest stage, the homogeneity of CLIM and non-CLIM groups was statistically proved by the χ2 Pearson Correlation Coefficient. The experimental group received the CLIM methodology, while the control group was taught by a traditional approach. The post-test took into account both linguistic and content-related learning outcomes aimed at improving English proficiency in the aviation-oriented and translation direction within the CLIM and non-CLIM research groups. The research findings demonstrated that experimental group had significantly outperformed the control group during the final test. Teaching Aviation English and enhancing translation skills through the application of the CLIM method which encompassed aviation podcasts, subject matter videos, professional literature overview, stakeholders’ involvement, and engagement in the aviation environment, are effective.
