Hexagonal Image Compressionusing Singular Value Decomposition in Python Python中基于奇异值分解的六边形图像压缩

With the advent of multimedia technologies in last two decades, there is a widespread need for efficient storage and transmission of data. Dealing with the vast information interchange in this digital era, image compression for reduction in byte size of graphics image file without loss of image quality to an acceptable level becomes the large interest area. Inspired from the biological models of human fovea, hexagonal image processing has gained a lot of attention in artificial intelligence era that deals with the application of image processing system that combines the benefits of biologically motivated structures. In this paper a singular value decomposition (SVD) over hexagonal image compression which is a missing stone in computer vision which provides higher packing density, higher angular symmetry and uniform connectivity. Due to lack of developments in hexagonal imaging devices, different resampling methods like alternate pixel shift method, half pixel shift method, pseudo hexagonal pixel method for sourcing hexagonal images. SVD is one of the powerful cutting-edge technology for image compression algorithms. SVD based image compression is performed on hexagonal grid and is compared with square grid using different parameters like compression ratio, compression size, PSNR and MSE using PYTHON's SVD function. SVD based hexagonal image achieves the goal of compression by preserving good image quality at higher compression ratios, high computational efficiency, provides low mean square error (MSE), acceptable compression size depending on application and high peak to signal ratio (PSNR).

Design and Implementation of Desired Interaction Yielding Fractional-Order Controller With Application to Wheeled Mobile Robot 期望交互屈服分数阶控制器的设计与实现及其在轮式移动机器人中的应用

A new method for the design of a fractional-order controller (FOC), with the objective of making responses of designed multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) closed-loop system transfer function matrix (DCL-TFM) as close as possible to that of a MIMO model CL-TFM (MCL-TFM), is proposed. In the present work, it is not necessary that the order of the MCL-TFM to be equal to that of the DCL-TFM. The proposed method can be used for FO/integer-order (IO) controller design for FO/ IO MIMO systems with or without time-delay without any modification. The proposed method gives flexibility to a designer in incorporating a desired degree of coupling along with desired time-domain specification in the DCL-TFM. The developed controller design procedure is illustrated for the design of the FOC for the velocity control of the wheeled mobile robot (WMR), which has been modelled as time-delay linear time-invariant MIMO IO system. The developed algorithm is also illustrated for FOC design for an FO MIMO plant with time-delays. Using the proposed method, an IO controller (IOC) with the same objective is also designed. A comparative analysis of results validates the superiority of the FOC over its IO counterpart.

A Scheduling System for an Energy Storage Device using Photovoltaic and Demand Forecasting 基于光伏和需求预测的储能设备调度系统

The increasing uptake of renewable energy sources with intermittent and variable power generation has led to an increase in the development of battery energy storage systems (BESS) to help manage energy grids. Designing these scheduling systems is a complex challenge due to the volatile nature of energy generated through sources like wind and the sun. This paper focuses on the scenario of demand peak reduction for a primary distribution substation located in the southern UK, which is supplemented by a nearby Solar Photovoltaic (PV) farm. Time series forecasting methods are utilized to forecast PV generation and Energy demand a week in advance and utilize that to optimally control a battery storage device connected to the primary substation and the solar farm, to reduce the evening peak period by utilizing as much solar generation stored from earlier in the day.

A New Approach for Improving Performance of Localized SC-FDMA LTE Uplink 一种提高局域SC-FDMA LTE上行链路性能的新方法

Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access (SC-FDMA) is an uplink communication standard for 3GPP (Third Generation Partnership Project) Long Term Evolution (LTE), which outperforms multicarrier systems due to its low Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR). The Volterra equalizer is a nonlinear advanced technique for improving data transmission system efficiency. It enhances noise at high frequencies and it is extremely sensitive to noise. This paper proposes a modified Volterra equalization technique to improve the performance of Localized Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access (LFDMA). The modified Volterra equalizer is a combination of Volterra equalizer and Decision Feedback Equalizer (DFE) which reduces noise efficiently. Furthermore, the modified Volterra equalizer reduces computational complexity more effectively than the existing equalizers. Simulation results show that the modified Volterra equalizer provides improved Bit Error Rate (BER) performance compared to Zero Forcing (ZF) and Minimum Mean Square Error (MMSE) equalizers. The simulation results yield BER of 10dB and 13 dB respectively for16QAM and 64QAM by using the proposed scheme.

A Two-Pass Hybrid Mean and Median Framework for Eliminating Impulse Noise From a Grayscale Image 灰度图像脉冲噪声消除的两步混合均值和中值框架

In a digital era, Image recuperation plays a vital role in the area of digital image processing. Image instauration offers more visualization on the quality of the image thereby eliminating noise. Elimination of Gaussian and impulse noise is a challenging problem in the area of image restoration. Rigorous research is pursued to restore salt-and-pepper (SAP) noise utilizing spatial filters. Mean and Median are two contributing spatial filters for eliminating impulse noise. This paper applies a two-pass hybrid mean and median framework on a corrupted grayscale image to replace salt and pepper noise. The hybrid framework is effectively restoring the image by abstracting the low, medium, and high-density impulse noise. The efficacy of the recommended strategy is evaluated by quantifying the peak signal to noise ratio and structural similarity index metric. The result obtained when compared with recent recuperation strategies outperforms to remove noise from grayscale images.

An Efficient Bank Data safeguard technique using ECC based DNA Computing Algorithm 基于ECC的DNA计算算法的高效银行数据保护技术

Nowadays, amount of usage of banking server is increasing due to increase in number of account holder in the bank. Therefore securing the bank server is the biggest challenge for researchers and algorithm developers. Many methods and algorithms are available to provide the secure bank server, but it failed to provide security to the data stored in the server. In this paper, a novel Hybrid DNA Computing based encoding techniques is proposed and it provides greater level of security to the bank server data by encode the data stored in the server. The proposed encoding techniques encrypt the account holders detail by using Elliptic Curve Cryptography and encode the encrypted data into DNA code. The encoded data bits are embedded into the account holder's image by incorporating the DNA mapping table. The encoded image divide into four quadrants, then 2 quadrants of data are Exclusive- OR with other 2 Quadrant of data and stored it in the bank server. This proposed encoding techniques provide the bigger security to the data stored in the server with less number of processing time, operation bits, in turn help to reduce the storage capacity of server. Finally, proposed hybrid DNA computing techniques are simulated using MATLAB simulation tool and analyze its performance with the simulation parameter such as key size, processing time, data bits and image size.

Scam websites or illegitimate internet portals are widely used to mislead users into fraud or malicious attacks, which may involve compromise of vital information. Scammers misuse the secrecy and anonymity of the internet of facade their true identity and purposes behind numerous disguises. These can include false security alerts, information betrayal, and other misleading presentations to give the impression of legality and lawfulness. The proposed research is a web-based application - Scam Website Analyser- which enables checking whether a website is a scammed one.. The main aim of the research is to improve security and prevent scams of public websites. It ensures maintaining the details of scam websites in a database and also requests the websites of other databases using external APIs. The basic idea behind the research is the concept of user -orienteers where the user is able to get information about scam websites and prevent themselves from using those sites in future.

Attention based Neural Machine Translation with Sequence to Sequence Learning on Low Resourced Indic Languages 基于序列到序列学习的注意力神经机器翻译在低资源印度语中的应用

Deep Learning techniques are powerful in mimicking humans in a particular set of problems. They have achieved a remarkable performance in complex learning tasks. Deep learning-inspired Neural Machine Translation (NMT) is a proficient technique that outperforms traditional machine translation tasks. Performing machine-aided translation on Indic languages has always been a challenging task considering their rich and diverse grammar. The neural machine translation has shown quality results compared to the traditional machine translation approaches. The task becomes problematic when it comes to low-resourced language like Sanskrit. This paper has presented our work on developing a dataset with Sanskrit as a language pair and an attention mechanism-based neural machine translation model trained on the Sanskrit-Hindi bilingual dataset. We have shown the significance of the attention mechanism to overcome the problem of long-term dependencies. The attention mechanism has shown promising results on low-resourced Indic languages.

IoT based Quotidian Grocery Supply by Vending Machines 自动售货机基于物联网的日常杂货供应

Urban localities face the problem of having grocery stores far from the residential areas. This poses a problem in procuring groceries in emergencies and time complex situations. Individual vending machines near households can act as a buffer between the actual market and home, reducing the time and effort required to acquire the same quantity of products. This also improves customer convenience and satisfaction. A Cloud-Based wireless mesh network among vending machines can help in the optimal allocation of its stock. With this intent, this paper proposes an Internet of Things (IoT) based integrated vending machines network that acts as a platform to sell quotidian groceries to its nearby households. When compared with the existing system, the implemented system has a 46.4 percent decrease in its delivery time in the monsoon and a decrease of 14.5 percent in the rest of the year. And also, there is a 5.01 percent decrease in the cost of the products.

Received Signal Strength (RSS) Based Channel Modelling, Localization and Tracking 基于接收信号强度(RSS)的信道建模、定位和跟踪

Wireless channel communication has significant importance over the past 20 years. The high data rate demand over the wireless channel increased drastically in the last decade. The design of wireless applications is for internal and external usage in which mobility of the system design is mostly considered. Path loss component, Doppler spread and multipath fading are the characteristics of wireless medium in the wave propagation model. These characteristics are affected by the system dependent parameters like mutual coupling between multiple antennas, antenna height and beam-width and also by the physical environment connecting transmitter and receiver. RSS based channel modelling, localization and tracking are presented in this paper. While designing RSS-based localization we need to select proper propagation model, which has to be accurate and best model between the RF signal and the environment. In this paper we demonstrated that RSS can be used for outdoor localization. Additionally, the presented techniques are validated using simulation results.
