On the basis of multivariate statistical techniques, this article analyzes the socio-demographic and labor heterogeneity of Latin American immigration in Mexico (1990-2015) as part of intra-regional exchanges. The findings confirm the predominance of women and the high selectivity of Latin Americans born outside of Central America but residing in Mexico, and their improved economic insertion in relation to Mexicans and other Latin Americans. The contrast between groups with a greater and lesser migratory tradition to said country (Cubans and Argentineans; Colombians and Venezuelans), reveals demographic patterns consistent with this differentiation, and significant internal inequalities measured through their working income, in which both the origin of immigrants and the diversity of the labor markets in which they participate come into play.

This article analyses how migrant women who work in masculinised jobs in Santiago experience social relationships and interactions. Its focus is gender justice and women’s recognition within the work environment based on Axel Honneth's Theory of Recognition and the theoretical discussion of intersectionality from an Anglo and Latin American perspective (Galaz et al., 2019; Troncoso et al., 2019; Espinoza, 2016; Curiel, 2014; Lugones, 2005 and Crenshaw, 1989). The qualitative methodology is based on in-depth interviews with some of the women in question. The main result of the study showed that migrant women experience gender injustices related to the cultural appraisal of their specific capacities for success offered to them in masculinised work environments. The type of gender injustice that occurs in masculinised jobs is experienced differently when other forms of oppression intersect (such as nationality or social class). We observed both a lack of recognition and how the tools of resistance generated by migrant women operate.

categorías y empíricas la integración Mercosur, preeminencia eje movilidades. El tiempo incurrido el viaje, la receptividad, la y la historia emergen determinantes de extranjeridad/hermandad visitantes y la población receptora. Abstract Starting from the assumption that regional integration is studied from multidisciplinary approaches, this paper addresses social integration from tourism. The objective of this work is to understand the links between Mercosur, as an integration process, and the regional tourists who visit the city of Buenos Aires. The methodology is qualitative based on in-depth interviews with tourists and key informants, where the representations of foreignness, familiarity and brotherhood among tourist and residents are investigated. The meaning that Mercosur represents for tourists, the determinants of foreignness on the part of the subjects and the indicators of brotherhood or unity between the visitors and the destination and receiving society are analyzed. The results highlight a gap between the analytical and empirical categories around regional integration and Mercosur and a preeminence of the axis of mobility. The time incurred in the trip, the receptivity, the communication and the common history emerge as determinants of foreignness / brotherhood between the visitors and the receiving population.

This article analyses the natural assets of the Area of Integration of Central West South America (Spanish acronym, ZICOSUR), specifically lithium, with respect to its regional potential in the process of linking up with China. The authors examine the natural resources of the region, which includes the sub-regions of Gran Chaco and the “lithium triangle”. ZICOSUR is a sub-state integration process that mainly involves peripheral sub-state units seeking regional international insertion in order to expand their development possibilities. In this respect, the work examines the complementarity of interests with the Asian giant, which may lead to cooperative relations. The proposed theoretical framework begins with paradiplomacy studies to understand the actions of sub-state units, and from regional integration studies to understand the phenomenon at the sub-state level in relation to the management of natural resources. The methodological proposal is mainly qualitative, employing a case study and the analysis official documents and bibliographic sources.

Internal migration in China became a demographic problem in the early days of the People's Republic due to the inequality between rural and urban populations. To exercise more effective control, the government introduced the hukou system in 1958, which linked people to their place of birth, thus deepening the inequalities between the two areas. Sixty years after its implementation, this system has undergone various reforms, although its purpose remains the same. In the 21st century, the programme’s objective is to control migration from the rural sector to the city so as not to overpopulate the country’s megacities, maintaining the balance between internal migration and economic growth. This article offers a historical examination of institutional characteristics and a review of official documentation and the domestic press. The authors reflect on how this approach continues the institutionalised limitation of internal migration movements in the country, despite the social and economic transformations of China, and reforms to the system in the last decade.

This article analyzes the issue of the struggle for the tekoha of the Guarani and Kaiowá peoples from a geographical perspective, and with respect to the movement to decolonize the border between Brazil and Paraguay. The research methodology was outlined using a qualitative and quantitative approach. In addition to the selection of native concepts, a bibliographic survey was used and field work was also carried out. Multi-transterritoriality is a form of territorial displacement that coordinates networks of political, economic, and ethnic relationships. This allows groups of Guaraní to fight for the demarcation of the tekoha on both sides of the border, thus favoring the effective movement of this group between territories and activating numerous indigenous territorialities.
