Incidence and significance of incidental prostate carcinoma in transurethral resection (TUR-P) materials between 2014 and 2016 at our center. Like all organs, prostate has benign and malign diseases. Among benign diseases, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and among malignancies adenocarcinoma are the most common ones. One of the methods that is used to treat BPH is transurethral resection (TUR-P). In our study, we investigated incidental tumor rates observed in patients that have TUR-P due to BPH. We included 120 patients who underwent TUR-P and whose operation materials were examined in pathology department between 2014-2016 in our center. Benign diseases were noted in 117 (97.5%) of 120 patients, whereas malignant tumors were detected in 3 (2.5%) cases. In TUR-P operations performed to relieve symptoms in BPH, adenocarcinoma is reported in the literature at rates ranging from 4% to 15%. We suggest that patients with symptoms of prostatism should be carefully investigated, detailed histopathologic evaluation should be done in terms of incidental tumors and clinical pathology communication should be at maximum level.

This study examines that adsorption of Remazol Brillant Blue R (RBBR) from aquatic solution was studied using pistachio hull (PH) as an adsorbent. The removal efficiency of pistachio hull was studied as a function of, pH, initial dye concentration, adsorbent dose and time via batch method at room temperature. Langmuir and Freundlich Isotherms applied to obtained data from experiments. The correlation coefficient values shown that the data fit the Langmuir Isotherm (R 2 =0.9989) compare to Freundlich Isotherm (R 2 =0.7825). Maximum adsorption capacity was observed as 16.739mg/g. Thermodynamic parameters also studied. The value of Gibbs Free Energy, (ΔG=2.696kJ/mol) is positive. This value is indicated that the adsorption was not a spontaneous one. According to the experimental data, pistachio hull can be used as an appropriate, no cost and easy obtainable adsorbent for the removal of Remazol Brillant Blue R dye.

The temperature and dissolved oxygen parameters of Almus Dam Lake located in the district Almus of province Tokat were seasonally determined at nine stations located along the lake. The water quality class of Almus Dam Lake was determined by comparing the results of our measured parameters with the values of Intercontinental Water Sources Quality Classification. The spatial and seasonal variations in physical parameters were analyzed with the Two-Way ANOVA, the relationships among these parameters. According to Intercontinental Water Sources Quality Classification, Almus Dam Lake has Class I water quality when considering parameters of temperature (14.30±7.44C°), dissolved oxygen (10.15±2.67mg/L. With the examination of seasonal temperature-depth profile, it was observed that winter stagnation and spring and fall vertical mixing occurred during the January and March and spring May and November, respectively. Temperature stratification was clearly observed during the July and September. Epilimnion, metalimnion (thermocline) and hypolimnion were well clearly visible at the first 10 meters, between 10–20 meters, and below 20 meters, respectively . GIS maps with spatial and seasonal values were created for temperature and dissolved oxygen variables.

Bu calismada, kanal kesit geometrisi ucgen yapida olan tek hucreli PEM yakit hucresi uc boyutlu olarak modellenmistir. Model olusturulurken, hucrenin, kararli, tek fazli oldugu kabul edilmistir. Farkli calisma basinclari ve farkli sicakliklar icin hucre performansi incelenmistir. Sicakligin ve calisma basincinin hucre performansina etkisini incelemek amaciyla uc farkli sicaklik ve uc farkli calisma basinci icin analizler yapilmistir. Sonuc olarak hucre potansiyelinin ve guc miktarinin akim yogunluguna gore degisim grafikleri, akim yogunlugu dagiliminin ve reaktant dagilimlarinin kontur grafikleri verilmistir. Hucre potansiyeli akim yogunlugunun artmasiyla azalmaktadir. Akim yogunun artmasiyla guc miktarini once artis gostermis ardindan azalmistir. Guc miktari, akim yogunlugunun yaklasik olarak 1.6 A/cm 2 oldugu degerde maksimum olmaktadir. Hucrenin verimi, hucre potansiyelinin artmasiyla artmaktadir. Improvement of consumer consciousness and the increasing tendency towards consumption of natural products, and increasing resistance to antibiotics and antiparasitic medicines, have increasingly limited utilization of medicines for protection from diseases. It has also become impossible to use antibiotics and similar medicines for animals in order for preventive purposes except medical treatments as a result of recent legal arrangements and this situation caused new approaches for fighting with diseases. People have now focused on using as natural as possible products for treatment and prevention purposes. Immunostimulants are natural or synthetic components that are used at pets and poultries for various purposes, such as health, growth and performance increase, and they stimulate humoral and non-specific cellular immune system against pathogens. Studies showed that immunostimulants provide immunity against various disease factors, such as bacterial, viral and parasitic diseases, increase the survival rate and productivity, increase the effect of vaccines and antibiotics. They are preferred also because they are safer than chemotherapeutics. Taking necessary actions to protect hencoop from viral, bacterial and parasitic diseases and to prevent economic losses is important in poultry farming. It seems more suitable to use immunostimulants for prevention purposes before the disease occurs. However, since they have effectiveness increasing properties as adjuvants, it is also possible to state that they will be more effective for treatment if they can be used in combination. Therefore it is expected that therapeutically effective components can be developed in recent future with single or combined immunostimulant trials, which are not harmful to animals, humans and environment.

Home environment has many risks that threaten the health and lives of the infants and children. In this study, we will discuss negative effects of kids furnitures on children. These can be chemicals used in making furniture and ergonomic factors. Primarily issues that need to be considered in children furniture; comfort and appearance of the furniture and being safe and healthy. No matter what type of furniture, especially in children's furniture, health and safety should be at the forefront. The measure used in children's furniture, appropriate and sizes should be adjustable. The applications in the pediatric emergency departments, the trauma caused by fall takes place on the top. Stairs, windows and furniture pose a risk to infants and children. In this study in kids furniture; in the design and manufacture of furniture for manufacturers, as for the customers in buying, security, safety harmful chemicals used in production and ergonomic concepts were examined. Consequently, some assessments have been analyzed and matters to be considered are described.

Bu calismada, dinamik yuk etkisindeki uc boyutlu bir zemin yapi sisteminin dinamik davranisi ve zemin yuzeyinde acilan cukurlarin titresim yalitimi uzerindeki etkinligi parametrik olarak incelenmistir. Modellemede ve analizlerde Plaxis 3D programindan faydalanilmistir. Calismada cukurun derinligi, genisligi, uzunlugu ve yeri parametre olarak secilmistir. Sonuclar zemin yuzeyinde yer degistirmeler cinsinden, yapida da hem yer degistirme hem de kesit tesiri cinsinden elde edilmistir. Calismadan elde edilen sonuclar titresim yalitimi icin en etkili parametrenin cukurun derinligi oldugunu gostermektedir. Cukur derinligi arttikca zemin yuzeyindeki ve yapidaki titresimler belirgin bir sekilde azalmaktadir. Titresim yalitimi problemlerindeki bir diger etkin parametre de cukurun genisligidir. Cukurun genisliginin artmasi da genlikleri onemli olcude azaltmaktadir. Ancak bu azalim derinlik icin elde edilen sonuclardan daha kucuktur. Accepted as a global health problem, obesity is described as the amount of fat in the body exceeding ideal limits. Because obesity is seen as a risk-taker in the formation of chronic diseases, obesity may cause patients and healthcare professionals several difficulties in diagnosis, treatment and care processes by increasing the admission of patients to hospitals. This difficulties in obese patient care develops on physical environment, lack of suitable equipment and staff, and surgical process and cause inability to provide patient and nurse safety and decrease of nurses’ satisfaction of giving care. The use of special devices designed for obese patients in the services ensures the safety of both the patient and healthcare professionals. The availability of these devices at the services alone is not enough, but it is also necessary for health workers to receive special training on how to use these devices and give obese patient care.

Bu calismada once, katkisiz poliamid 6 ile agirlik olarak %5 ve %10 oranlarinda poly-tetra-flor-etilen (PTFE) katkili poliamid 6 polimer karisimlarinin asinma ve surtunme davranislari incelenmistir. Polimer karisimlari, endustriyel tip ikiz vidali bir kompound makinasinda granul formda uretilmistir. Deneylerde kullanilan test numuneleri geleneksel enjeksiyon makinasi kullanilarak basilmistir. Katkisiz PA 6 ve PA 6 karisimlarinin asinma ve surtunme davranislari pim-disk asinma cihazinda ve kuru kayma sartlari altinda gerceklestirilmistir. Katkisiz PA 6 ve PA 6/PTFE karisimlarinin asinma ve surtunme davranislari 0.5m/s kayma hizinda ve 10N, 20N ve 30N yukler altinda yapilmistir.
