Bu calismada, mekanik ogutme yontemiyle uretilen Al-bazli kompozit malzemelerin uretiminde farkli miktarlarda ilave edilen SiC ve ogutme suresinin mikroyapi, yogunluk ve sertlik uzerine etkisi incelenmistir. Calisma kapsaminda, aluminyum matrise farkli miktarlarda (%5, %10, %15 ve %20) SiC ilave edilerek 4 farkli surede (30, 60, 90, 120 dakika) mekanik ogutulmustur. Atritor tipi mekanik alasimlama cihazinda ogutme elemani olarak 6mm capinda celik bilya, 750 devir/dakila’lik ogutme hizi, 10:1 bilya-toz orani, islem kontrol kimyasali olarak %2 stearik asit kullanilmistir. Kompozit tozlarin uretimi argon ortaminda yapilmistir. Uretilen kompozit tozlar tarama elektron mikroskobu, EDS analizleri, optik mikroskop ve toz boyut analizoru kullanilarak karakterize edilmistir. Yapilan calismalar sonucunda, ilave edilen SiC miktari ve ogutme suresi arttikca toz boyutunda azalma gorulurken, sertlik degerlerinde artis gorulmektedir. Bununla birlikte ilave edilen SiC miktari arttikca da yogunlukta artis gorulmektedir.

The Jaya algorithm (JA) which is very recently developed metaheuristic method is proposed for design optimization of tower structures. The distinctive characteristic of JA is that it does not use algorithm-specific parameters. The algorithm has a very simple formulation where the basic idea is to approach the best solution and escape from the worst solution. Continuous design optimization of 72-bar spatial tower and discrete design optimization of 244-bar spatial tower structure are used to demonstrate the validity of JA. The results show that the JA can obtain better designs than those of the other metaheuristic optimization methods in terms of optimized weight, standard deviation and number of structural analyses.

Due to the non-storable nature of electric energy, short-term and long-term electricity generation and consumption forecast are critical to keeping electricity market in balance. In addition, the production estimate of wind energy is parallel to the estimate of wind speed. Since wind speed forecasts includes seasonal and time-dependent trends, time series forecasting methods produce successful results in wind energy forecasting. However, choosing the most appropriate time series forecasting method for short-term and long-term production forecasts is of special importance. In this study, short-term and long-term wind speed estimations were made for the wind turbine at Kirikkale University by using Exponential Smoothing (ES) and ARMA (Auto Regressive Moving Average) methods. The most suitable methods for forecasting short-term and long-term wind speed have been determined with the obtained results.

Schiff bazlari epoksidasyon reaksiyonlarinda katalizor, iletken polimerlerin eldesinde monomer, antifungal, antibakteriyel, antimikrobiyal ve bazi oksidatif radikal turlerine karsi antioksidan olarak kullanilmaktadir. Son yilllarda, bircok Schiff bazlari turevi sentezlenmeye devam edilmektedir. Bu arastirmada, hidroksiure turevi Schiff bazi Cu (L-Cu), Cd (L-Cd) ve Zn (L-Zn) metal komplekslerinin antimikrobiyal aktiviteleri in vitro olarak arastirildi. In vitro denemelerde mikrodilusyon broth metodu uygulandi. Sonuc olarak in vitro calismada Hidroksiure Schiff bazi metal kompleksleri etkili bir antimikrobiyal aktivite gostermistir.

Bu calismanin amaci, Vickers mikro-sertligin uygulanan yuke bagimliligini incelemektir. Cunku mikro-sertlik olcum sonuclari uygulanan yuk degerleri artisi ile azalan veya artan degerler seklinde olabilmektedir. Bu olgu, iz boyut etkisi (ISE) veya ters iz boyut etkisi (RISE) olarak ifade edilir ve AISI 1040 celiginden martenzitik, 300-450-600 o C’lerde temperlenmis matenzitik numuneler icin incelenmistir. Incelenen numuneler icin mikro-sertlik olcum sonuclari, uygulanan yuk degerleri artisi ile artan degerler (RISE) seklindedir. Deneysel sonuclar ile Meyer’s yasasi, Orantili numune direnci (PSR) ve Modifiye edilmis orantili numune direnci (MPSR) modelleri karsilastirilmistir. Deneysel veriler ile en uyumlu sonuclar MPSR modeliyle elde edilmistir.

Power systems are exposed to significant structural changes in recent years. One of the main reasons for this is the integration of renewable energy sources into power systems. Today, especially renewable energy sources such as wind and sun are densely connected to power systems at various points. As a result, changes occur in the structures of the power systems. These structural changes also affect the parameters of power systems. One of these parameters, voltage stability, is considered as an important criterion in terms of the quality of electric energy and the continuity of electric energy. In this study, the voltage stability analysis of the power system was made by adding the renewable energy sources to various points on six bus power system. The review focuses wind power plants heavily used in renewable energy sources. Various scenarios have added renewable energy sources at various levels to the consumption points of the power system. As a result of these scenarios, stability limit values of the power system are investigated. The study was performed through the Power World simulation program. In addition, the P-V curves of the buses are plotted with continuous load flow. According to the results obtained, it is observed that the system has improved stability limits, voltage and power.
