This study examines the structural equation model that assessed the relationship of technical skills, conceptual skills, interpersonal skills, and human capital in the food processing industry. The research utilized a model fit, construct reliability, and validity structural equation modeling technique following the reviewed literature. The 204 samples were selected from food processing entrepreneurs in Metro Manila, Philippines. Questionnaires with rating scales were used as research tools, and a random sample procedure was used. A confirmatory factor analysis was used for analyzing model fit, reliability, and validity. A structural model and path analysis were used to examine the link. According to the findings, the model perfectly fits the factual data and indicates an admissible level of validity and reliability. The results positively correlated with Technical Skills, Conceptual Skills, and Interpersonal Skills. Moreover, Human Capital acted as an additional variable to test its relationship with Katz's triplet Managerial Skills, and the findings indicate that Technical Skills, Conceptual Skills, Interpersonal Skills, and Human Capital are correlated. Based on these results, there is a need to augment the technical expertise and conceptual skills pertaining to food processing and offer training that focuses on cultivating interpersonal skills, particularly proficient communication. To improve human capital, it is important to adopt strategies that enhance employee performance. These encompass enhancing proficiency in marketing, financial management, production management, and opportunities for advancement. Future studies should employ qualitative or mixed methods to thoroughly explore the study.

In Nigeria, small businesses are increasingly turning to social media as an approach for marketing and boosting their sales due largely to its wide reach and cost-effectiveness. The clothing industry is no exception, as small clothing businesses in Nigeria have begun to leverage social media to reach a wider audience and increase sales performance. Apparently, despite the huge potential of social media platforms available to prospective small businesses in Nigeria, existing and prospective small business owners still struggle to utilise these platforms to improve sales performance in the country. The paper examined the level of contributions of social media on small businesses' sales performance vis-a-vis customers purchasing behaviour. Also, it explored inherent challenges clothing businesses encountered on social media platforms for improved sales performance. The study was centred on descriptive research design through a qualitative approach, which relied on interviews. For the study, a purposive sampling technique was used to select 18 participants in the clothing business (shoes, fashion clothes, hairdressing and fashion accessories and hairdressing). By implication, social media usage has a multiplier effect on small businesses vis-à-vis the economic transformation of Nigeria if harnessed in line with the function framework. The study concluded that there is an apt need for small clothing businesses in Nigeria to grasp the trajectories and dynamics of social media and engage in effective and sustainable strategies to leverage social media for optimum benefit.

The policy of integrating National ID Numbers and Tax ID Numbers as the government's initial effort to implement a Single Identity Number has various challenges in its implementation. Perceptions between policymakers that differ from public perceptions are one of the main problems that must be considered. This research was conducted to find out the perceptions and expectations of Taxpayers and Frontline Officers at the tax office regarding the implementation of the National ID Number and Tax ID Number integration policy. Data collection was carried out by literature study and interviews with 2 Taxpayers and 2 Frontline Officers. The analytical method used is qualitative descriptive analysis with an inductive approach. The research results show that there is a gap in perception between Taxpayers and the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) due to the lack of publications where Taxpayers hope that updating data in the context of integrating National ID Numbers with Tax ID Numbers can be done automatically through the system. Frontline Officers also hope there will be no more obstacles in the updating process so that it does not disrupt other services. With this research, the writer hopes that it can become input for the DGT in making policies by considering the constraints and obstacles that may occur in its implementation so that policies can run optimally.

During the time of the pandemic in 2020, it is notable that the trend of plants flourished. However, at present, there is a decline in demand. The Municipality of Bay, Province of Laguna, is recognized as the "Garden Capital of Laguna," brimming with various plants. The local plant community represents the largest community in the Bay. Thus, the Local Government Unit of Bay acknowledges the necessity to empower and develop this plant community. This research aimed to establish a correlation between the status of e-commerce and the sustainable development of the plant community. The study utilized a descriptive research design and employed a self-made questionnaire to gather information and data from the entire population of respondents. The data collected from the survey were tallied and interpreted. The results revealed that ornamental plants significantly correlate with all the factors of sustainable development of plant communities. Furthermore, both home gardening and plant parenting showed a significant correlation with all the factors of sustainable development of plant community. Among the types of e-commerce, business-to-consumer (B2C) was the only one found to have a significant correlation with the factors of sustainable plant community development. Facebook exhibited greater significance concerning the factors of sustainable development of plant community compared to online selling websites/apps.

While sustainable communities are at the forefront of Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) objectives worldwide, a discernible inclination towards profit-seeking persists. This study presents an opportunity to refine MFIs' CSR-related activities and bolster community awareness of their unwavering commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Specifically, this research used proportional stratified random sampling for the employees and clients of ten microfinance institutions (MFIs) in the Philippines. However, due to the massive number of clients of MFIs, incidental sampling was considered and used in gathering data from the clients of the microfinance institutions. Employing descriptive design and t-test, the research unveils MFIs' primary focus on health programs, charitable works, youth and sports development, disaster and relief operations, and environmental sustainability. These compelling findings serve as a dependable foundation for the establishment of CSR assessment guidelines, empowering MFIs to propel community-driven sustainable development. Embracing targeted CSR efforts, MFIs can catalyze transformative change, nurturing resilient and thriving communities.

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are vital to the Philippine economy, as the COVID-19 pandemic became more widespread, business activity was negatively impacted, strict quarantine measures were implemented, business operating hours were shortened, and the demand for labor from rural and remote areas decreased. With these new solutions, new measures and protocols are adopted and enforced to protect the safety of employees and consumers. The objective of this study is to determine how the COVID-19 pandemic affected the business sustainability of SMEs. The variables used to assess the impact on businesses are supply chain, business relations, resurging, cash flow, and work remotely. This study focuses solely on registered SMEs that existed before the pandemic and were still operational when the study was conducted. Survey questionnaires were used to gather data from business owners. Responses from the participants were presented in tabular form, along with brief explanations of the results. Statistical evaluation of the hypothesis was conducted using a one-way ANOVA and a two-sample T-test. The results showed the assessment of SME owners regarding the impact of the five variables on the sustainability of their businesses. Importantly, the study highlighted additional measures that can be used to better analyze and evaluate which areas of businesses are impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and how to keep those businesses afloat.

Employee engagement emerged as one of the most important topics for HR managers and practitioners in the industry. This study aims to analyze and assess how various organizations engaged their workers throughout the coronavirus epidemic. The Philippine Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) companies have shifted remote work set-up to ensure productivity. The researchers focused on 100 purposively selected managers and team leaders of BPO companies in a particular freeport zone in the Philippines. The proponents utilized a descriptive-correlation research design with the help of a modified survey instrument. Statistical analyses used were mean and Pearson-r moment of correlation with the help of SPSS 20. Results show that the respondents gave the study a remark of "sometimes" on their employee engagement. As for the perceived factors affecting employee engagement, career development, leadership, and work-life balance generated a response of "strongly agree" among the respondents, and only rewards and recognition got an "agree" response. Furthermore, the study also found a low to moderate positive association between employee engagement and the perceived factors affecting employee engagement. As concluded, a relationship exists between employee engagement, career development, leadership, work-life balance, and rewards and recognition within the organization. The importance of sustaining employee engagement amid the Covid-19 Pandemic is vital to attain productivity, and outcomes such as increased profit, lower absenteeism, and good health of employees are essential to achieve a win-win situation between the company and its stakeholders.

The development and use of digital technologies are fundamentally altering how people live, work, travel, and conduct business, and they are also reshaping and revolutionizing the tourism industry. This study aimed to assess the digitalized footprint practices of selected hotels in the Philippines towards the implementation of a safe travel experience among prospective and regular tourists in the city and country. Moreover, it sought to determine whether there is a significant relationship between the perceived digitalized tourism experience and the commonness of availing services in the selected establishment in implementing a safe travel experience. The researchers used the Quantitative method to quantify data and generalize results from a sample of a target population. It involved one hundred (100) respondents consisting of customers and employees of the selected hotels in Taguig City. Convenience Sampling was used on this research; therefore, participants were chosen based on their availability and willingness to participate. The statistical test that was used in this research is Pearson Correlation Coefficient. This test was designed to determine the relationship or association between an independent variable (categorical data – Frequency of availing services in the establishment) and dependent variable/s (3 digitalized tourism experiences). Based on the result, it is concluded that there is a significant relationship between the respondents’ perceived digitalized tourism experience and the commonness of availing services in the selected establishment in implementing safe travel experience.

According to the latest data, the financial literacy index in Indonesia stood at 38%. This figure was definitely an improvement compared to previous years, but was still considerably behind compared to the global standard. Taking into account gender disparity in Indonesia, this figure becomes even more abysmal as the financial literacy index for women is substantially lower than men. To solve this problem, a social media knowledge management framework is proposed to structure and disseminate financial knowledge with the purpose of improving the financial literacy index, especially for women, in Indonesia. This knowledge management platform is supported by a financial education program that has been developed based on the characteristics and needs of typical women in Indonesia. To further substantiate the findings of this study, a series of in-depth interviews were conducted with the aim to acquire a better understanding of various aspects of financial literacy from the perspective of women. In total, 13 women who lived in Bandung were chosen as the main subject of this study based on a judgment sampling technique. Encouragingly, more than three-quarter of the respondents were considered to be well-literate. Digging deeper into the data, however, presents a much more nuanced and complicated insight regarding the behavior of the respondents as most of the respondents simultaneously exhibit a very wide range behavior ranging from discipline to carelessness when managing their money.

This study aims to examine the role of capital expenditure in mediating the relationship between regional financial performance and economic growth in Aceh Province. The data source for this research uses secondary data sources from the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bureau of Statistics. Respondents in this study were local governments in Aceh with a total of 24 provincial, district, and city governments for 12 years from 2011-2022 period. The results of the analysis show that regional financial performance, as represented by the independence ratio, effectiveness ratio, efficiency ratio, harmony ratio, and personnel expenditure ratio, simultaneously has a positive and significant effect on capital expenditure. Meanwhile, the direct effect of capital expenditure allocation and regional financial performance is represented by the independence ratio, effectiveness ratio, efficiency ratio, harmony ratio, and personnel expenditure ratio, which simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on economic growth. This study found that the mediation of capital expenditure allocation on regional financial performance in Aceh province does not affect economic growth. Capital expenditure which is expected to be able to bridge regional financial performance indicators on economic growth, has not yet affected Aceh province.
