With the increasing number of mobile phone users, mobile phones have become important means of communication and information sharing. Mobile phone users consist of sighted users and visually impaired users. Touchscreen mobile phones are inaccessible for visually impaired users due to the absence of any physical keys and insufficient accessibility features. An effective accessible means for interacting with mobile phones may solve inaccessibility problem. This study describes various accessibility applications currently available for different functionalities in mobile phones. These accessibility applications provided accessibility for messaging, calling, text entry and helping with identifying medicines. The study helps in understanding various techniques used. These techniques include Speech to Text converter, Text to Speech converter, image recognition and Braille script. The study and comparison of all these currently available applications and techniques is very important for proposing new application.

This paper presents the functional simulation model of three-phase controlled PWM rectifier model using the concept of switching function. With this the problems of convergence and long run-time are solved as the power circuits are simplified. The proposed model is implemented in MATLAB-Simulink and it is validated by simulation.

In this paper, a compact multiband rectangular microstrip patch antenna using slots to obtain multiple resonating frequencies, is discussed. Slots can be introduced for increasing the bandwidth, miniaturization and introducing multiband characteristics. Rectangular slots are introduced in the radiating patch, arranged in the shape of a “swastika”. Multiband characteristics is achieved due to spiral arrangement of the slots. The microstrip patch antenna is coaxial fed. FR4 epoxy resin is used for the substrate because of its rigid structure and lossy nature which enhances radiation effects. Slots of various dimensions and positions make up a swastika slot. Impact of each slot on the resonant frequencies of the RMSA is studied, their reflection coefficient analyzed and presented here.

Over the past few years, women safety has become a prominent issue all over the world. Today's women are empowered and they are independent too. But still, they are concerned about their safety against the violence and the harassment as they have to travel late night through unknown areas. Even if it is true that men and women are equal in every field like men women are not so strong physically in the emergency situations. Women should be provided with some helping hand to relieve them in the risky situations. As there is a tremendous increase in a number of Android users, an android phone can be used to protect the women in the risky situation. This paper presents a women safety Android application which is developed by using a number of features in smartphones like GPS navigation, digital camera, high-speed internet connectivity and many more. The proposed work helps the user to get articles and reviews about the place by just holding the camera at the location. These articles and reviews are augmented with the real scene in the camera by integrating the augmented reality. Augmented reality can be integrated into women safety app using Wikitude SDK which helps to place articles and reviews related to the current location of the user. Along with articles and reviews, the recommendation about the place such as ‘Safe Street’ or ‘Unsafe Street’ is also provided to the user based on the available data. The articles, reviews as well as the recommendation given by the system help the user to decide how safe or how dangerous a particular street/place is. Furthermore, the user can send calls/messages to the police and the listed contact numbers using this app in case of emergency. The message contains details about the current location of the user. If the user wants to share his experience about the place, he can post his reviews through this app.

The echocardiogram is the technique which is used in the diagnosis of most of the heart related diseases. Echocardiogram contains less information hence the diagnosis of the disease from the Echocardiogram videos is time consuming task. It required more human efforts to make a decision. Hence the automatic approach to detect the cardiovascular diseases with minimum computing time and high accuracy is necessary. In this approach, the automatic dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) and Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) disease detection using machine learning approach has been proposed. The database contains the ultrasound videos of ASD, DCM and normal cases. The features extracted from the image and the classified the extracted features using supervised support vector machine algorithm. The proposed system achieved the accuracy of 98.30%.

For identification of objects and humans, recently we are using a small wireless device which named as RFID. Acceptance of this system is growing day by day in previous few decades and growing with new protocols. It has reduced cost of production and this is the reason that RFID technology and devices are used in the huge mob. As security is the main issue of the communication while doing data transmission in RFID devices. Though RFID is complete wireless network system, security of data is more important. There are many authentication protocols are used for data security from tag to reader communication. Here we have done study of various authentication protocols and what is the requirement of it. Few protocols are providing forward security, performance but lagging in privacy purpose likewise other protocols are doing the same.

Advancement in safety features to prevent ignorance of traffic sign boards is a challenge faced by drivers in daily routine. By overlooking traffic road signs, one can lead to road accidents which can be of high-risk for the driver as well as the fellow passengers. Therefore, using Driver Assistance System to assist the driver with mandatory and cautionary road signs can be of important help in prevention of road accidents. The paper explains Template Matching technique of image processing for detecting Traffic signs mounted alongside the road. Here, the object of interest, i.e., traffic sign board, is selected and learned by the system which is then detected where the Region of Interest is in form of green-yellow bounding box. The system is alert about the reappearance of the object, that is, after the departure of the current frame. The output is given both in audio as well as in display message format. This combination of output enables the driver to stay alert while driving the vehicle and prevents any kind of mishap.

The following paper is a thorough review of our research based on the localisation of robots. It is an attempt to segregate the techniques, to locate the accurate position of robots in different environments and to discuss the superlative methods to localise such robots or in some cases an unmanned vehicle. The paper is divided into three real world problem statements and a thorough analysis of the best technique amongst other is made, for all the three conditions namely underwater, indoor and space, based on a number of parameters such as the cost, accuracy, efficiency, implementation of the technique and the environmental conditions around the robot. The primary reason to select these problem statements is due to the recent trends of research in these domains. Each of the technique has been chosen after discarding several previously applied techniques and an effective approach has been put forward for localising the robots in different areas.

In the ever changing world where every day new IPs and chips are designed with less time to market, creating a very robust verification mechanism within a short duration is a big need of fast growing VLSI industry. With the advent of a standardized signal bus architecture used for interconnection of various modules of a system, system-on-a-Chip (SoC) design became the major integrated methodology for minimizing the design time of complete system. Now how to verify these on chip bus protocols is one of the grave challenges at hand, also traditional methods are inefficient for verifying large SoC. In this paper we have built a verification environment for AXI protocol using System Verilog (SV) where we had verified AMBA AXI Protocol achieving successful Write and Read Operations for incrementing burst feature with a saleable test bench architecture.
