Comunidades de muchas partes del mundo se encuentran investigando y desarrollando en diferentes areas de la informatica con el fin de encontrar soluciones innovadoras. Blockchain es una de estas ramas que busca la transparencia, seguridad, y descentralizacion de las bases de datos y sistemas informaticos. La constante evolucion de esta tecnologia nos lleva a la necesidad de estudiar los beneficios y herramientas que actualmente estan siendo desarrollados en esta area de las tecnologias de la informacion. Investigar cuales son las facilidades que nos brinda el hecho de incorporar esta tecnologia emergente en nuestros sistemas y soluciones informaticas, cuales son sus desventajas, asi como tambien evaluar su posibilidad de integrarse con otras herramientas, son algunas de las inquietudes que surgen inmediatamente. Este proyecto consistio en investigar las soluciones mas populares de blockchain e implementar el despliegue de una criptomoneda que permita realizar transacciones entre un grupo cerrado de organizaciones. EnglishWith the recent advances on information and communication technologies, every year we can see more and more branches in this topic. Communities from all over the world are continuously investigating and developing in different categories of the informatics with the idea of finding new innovative solutions to all type of problems. Blockchain is one of this branches that tries to solve transparency, security, and decentralization issues from the databases and informatic systems. The constant evolution of this technology leads us to the necessity of studying the benefits and tools that are being developed in this topic of the information and communication technologies. Investigate what are the facilities that we may have by using this emerging technology in our systems and informatics solutions, what are the disadvantages, as well as to evaluate the possibility of integrating it to other tools, are some of the restlessness that immediately come up. This article arises from a grade thesis made by the authors for a technology center ICT4V (Information and Communication Technologies For Verticals), and it intends to resume what was investigated and learnt during the project.

The objective of this research was to develop and evaluate technologies that reduce the alcohol content and pH of Pinot noir and Tannat red wines without reduce their color and phenolic composition. To reduce wine alcohol content and pH, a partial substitution of the must of ripe grapes by must of unripe grapes was evaluated. Faced with a possible dilution effect when substituting must, a pre-fermentation hot maceration was additionally evaluated. Must substitution was an effective technique to reduce the alcohol content and the pH without modifying the phenolic concentration of wines made in both cultivars. Additionally, the pre-fermentation hot maceration increased the color of the wine and its concentration in total polyphenols, anthocyanins, catechins and proanthocyanins. The impact of both techniques was determined by the varietal characteristics and the ripening conditions, so it is necessary to continue adapting these techniques to different cultivars and in other growing situations. The development of these technologies is an interesting tool because they can be applied differentially according to the oenological potential of the grape in each harvest, mitigating the effects of climate change on its composition.

espanolExisten varios antecedentes de alambrados virtuales que utilizan diversas tecnicas para mantener confinado al ganado bovino dentro de un perimetro configurado de forma remota. Estas tecnicas comparten un patron comun que consiste en colocar un dispositivo electronico en el animal capaz de aplicar estimulos cuando este se acerca a los limites pre-establecidos. El uso de descargas electricas como metodo de estimulacion es ampliamente utilizado. En este trabajo se propone una solucion compatible con el bienestar animal, que evita las descargas electricas, basada solamente en estimulos sonoros y tactiles (mediante un motor vibrador). Para ello, se desarrollo un sistema que comprende un dispositivo electronico que se coloca en el cuello del animal, y es capaz de determinar su posicion, estimularlo y enviar informacion en forma inalambrica; un servidor central que es capaz de recibir, procesar y almacenar esa informacion; y una interfaz grafica, a traves de la cual se puede visualizar la posicion del animal y configurar distintos parametros para evaluar diversas metodologias de confinamiento virtual. Las pruebas realizadas en animales, sugieren que los estimulos propuestos no son inocuos, por lo que se estima, podrian lograr su cometido luego de un periodo de aprendizaje de los animales. These techniques share a common pattern that consists of placing an electronic device in the animal capable of applying stimuli when it approaches the pre-established limits. The use of electric shocks as a method of stimulation is widely used. This work proposes a solution compatible with animal welfare, which avoids electric shocks, based only on sound and tactile stimuli (using a vibrating motor). For this, a system was developed consisting of an electronic device that is placed on the animal's neck, and has the capacity to stimulate and send information wirelessly; a central server that is able to receive, process and store that information; and a graphical user interface, where the animal's position can be visualized and several parameters can be configured to evaluate different virtual confinement techniques. The tests performed on animals suggest that the stimuli used is aversive, so it is estimated that they could achieve their goal after a period of training. The research on the effectiveness of the proposed confinement techniques using our platform should be carried out in a next stage by an interdisciplinary team.

In this work an application of quantitative methods for the programming of artistic shows is presented. In particular, the work carried out for the problem of making the fixture for the contest “Carnaval de las Promesas 2019/2020”. This event is a competition belonging to the Uruguayan carnival that has five different artistic categories, created especially for groups of children and adolescents. A mixed integer mathematical programming model was developed for the problem. The objective was to balance the attendance of the public and comply with the restrictions of the contest regulations, as well as other requirements indicated by the organizers.

This work presents the development of a prototype that allows identifying specific signs through artificial vision techniques. It uses an image segmentation stage based on the SLIC superpixel algorithm, followed by a sign recognition and classification stage based on convolutional neural networks and has been implemented in a simple-board computer (SBC). The prototype informs the user of the identification of these signs through an audio message sent to headphones, it has a GPS module that obtains the location where the sign was recognized and is stored to offer the user notifications about nearby signs. The tests were performed with 1: 2 scale signs in open spaces, with natural light. The prototype is intended as a support for visually impaired people to move in open urban environments. Processing times and prototype performance are reported. Although the implementation in the selected simple-board computer makes its use unfeasible due to operating times, the functionality of the system is demonstrated.

This research proposes a decision model to manage the purchase of new and used components in a re-manufacturing system. New components are purchased from a supplier who offers discounts based on the reserved capacity. The used components comes from various sources, where the quantity to be received from each source depends on the incentive provided. The model considers two stochastic elements: the return level per source (for used components) and the possibility that the shipment of new components is not received. A sensitivity analysis is performed based on a numerical example. The results demonstrate significant relationships between the costs to operate the return sources, the probability of low returns, and the incentive levels assigned to each source. The experiments also indicate how the incentives and the reserved capacity depends on the probability that the new components are not received.

The growth of the use of electricity consumption measurement systems new technologies has made possible the emergence of great opportunities to improve energy management. The project aims to study the application of these technologies, in order to collaborate with the diversification of this type of devices through economic technical solutions that can be easily included in the houses. In this way, people will be able to know their consumption patterns and detect savings opportunities. As a result of this work, an open and low-cost technical prototype is presented, including the necessary components to collect home electrical consumption data and upload it to a cloud computing system in order to allow the users access to daily used devices consumption detailed information.
