This paper presents the development of a web-based tour package system. The objective of this paper is to present a review of a web-based system intended for the eco-tourism market in Bangladesh. This paper analyses and discusses the development cycle of the software and the tools used in the development cycle. The paper looks at the design impact of the application and attempts to identify the factors affected by the application. Using the developed web application, users can view and sign up for advertised tours and pay for the tour using a digital payment system. Each advertised tour contains information regarding the tour and users can view reviews written by previous travelers. Using the developed web application, users can view the location of a tourist spots and can get an idea about the distance between the user's current location and the tourist spots. There will be tour guides to guide the travelers to visit all the tourist spots under a tour package. This application will help the growth of the tourism industry by helping users with better accessibility to affordable options.

This paper introduces a study done to evaluate the use of machine learning regression techniques to predict the weather conditions of agricultural fields for smart irrigation systems. The proposed methodology is able to predict the temperature, precipitation, wind speed and evapotranspiration based on the field location and day. To discover the best model to achieve this, a set of machine learning techniques were implemented, including Linear Regression, Decision Tree, Random Forest and Neural Networks, being the results compared. Results shown that Random Forests and Decisions Trees achieve the best efficiency, after cross-validation. This paper includes a detailed description of the methodology, its implementation and the experimental results.

An interactive web platform and android application based on room sharing represent a platform using which people will be able to get and share accommodation anywhere in Bangladesh. During admission tests, students face a terrible shortage of accommodation along with security and other problems. To overcome this, a platform is developed based on web and android applications as these two are easily accessible to the students at ease. The developments of a web interactive web platform and an android app based on room sharing service will not only offer them the accommodation but will also ensure security, freedom of choosing desired accommodation with lower possible cost.

This document showcases the attributes of an efficient legal database that intends at presenting not only a content explanation form for legal description but also a tool for accessing different departmental as well as similar information data and sources. The application of the proposed database engages a dual explanation of the model and use of its various aspects. The terms are connected with each other with semantic relation and they are conceived as a lexical source. The concepts are organized in such way that is based on the stronger connections and assumptions with the ontological order of various entities of the legal domain based in Bangladesh, which happens to a very niche and analogized in terms of digitalization. This platform will be very helpful for the law students and lawyers to find the case history for their learning purpose.

COVID-19 has affected many areas of life worldwide, such as the economy, education, security, social life, and health. In this work, we survey research papers on machine learning, the Internet of things (IoT), medical imaging, and software applications to prevent, diagnose, reduce, and manage COVID-19. Artificial intelligence is an important research area to solve problems in emergent domains from homeland security to biomedical engineering. Artificial intelligence subdomains such as image processing, data mining, networks, graph theory, natural language processing, and computer vision are frequently applied for COVID-19 data. IoT sensors collect data from patients and elderly people in their homes, hospital rooms, or elsewhere for early prediction and monitoring. The collected data are used in machine learning algorithms such as decision tree, naïve Bayes classifier, neural network, and k-means algorithms for classification and clustering. Computed tomography is also commonly used to determine the presence of any COVID-19 infection or damage in patients' lungs. Image segmentation, object detection, and object tracking are used to extract features from medical images. Experimental results of these surveyed papers demonstrate that these approaches are promising for predicting, diagnosing, and managing COVID-19.

For working parents a real-life challenge faced is to keep track of their child activities in playschool and creche. Despite having CCTV surveillance available to parents, monitoring 8–10 hours videos on a day-to-day basis is not possible, hence CCTV videos, which carry millions of information, get unnoticed by parents and day-cares. The aim of project was to process CCTV videos to identify the child, detect their respective expressions as well as planned/unplanned activities throughout the day. We have considered angry, disgust, scared, happy, sad, surprised, neutral expressions of kids to be monitored on daily basis. The various activities performed at daycare like playing, drawing, rhyming, dancing along with not so usual activities like slapping, falling, pushing would also be monitored on kids. It can be further extended to create a 8–10 minutes glimpse/summary in form of video/timeline of children's entire day activities and inform their respective parents. This can improvise the overall experience of the daycare for parents.

Any device which is capable of transmitting electric energy using the help of power source and the electrical energy is transmitted to an electrical load which do not use any connecting wires and it is defined as wireless power transfer or also told as wireless power transmission. When continuous energy transfer is required, wireless transmission is ideal. Interconnecting wires, on the other hand, are cumbersome and dangerous. Though the methods are similar, this is not the same as wireless communication for the purpose of data transfer. Efficiency is a critical factor in wireless power transfer. This study outlines a plan to eliminate the dangerous use of electrical wires, which is fraught with ambiguity. The aim of this study is to implement a power transfer will will work wirelessly, a technique of high resonance is used over a distance of meter. Working on this, we can light an LED bulb wirelessly about 6mm distance. We can also charge a mobile phone wirelessly about 2mm distance with 40% efficiency, which drives us to research on how to increase distance with greater efficiency and suggested for further study.

This paper introduces a mobile robot that is designed to assist medical professionals in hospitals with daily simple tasks which allow the staff in turn to optimize their resources. A prototype of this robot was deployed at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in Bangladesh with funding from the Government of Bangladesh, USAID and UNDP. This robot performed its functions as an Automated Medical Assistant (AMA) by delivering to and interacting with patients and medical staff during its trial phase in 2018. This paper presents the robot to have an intuitive user interface, a user-friendly mode of communication, smart features in its command-and-control system, security, and energy optimization. The smart robot is able to navigate its way to specific patients as well as avoid obstacles and finally navigate back to its charging station once its energy is depleted.

The ever-increasing population gave rise towards shift from traditional farming to modern farming methods. Limited availability of land, diminishing natural resources, unpredictable weather conditions resulting in food scarcity which is major concern which must be addressed. In order to increase the productivity and efficiency of agricultural land, Internet of things (IoT) offers many features in smart farming like monitoring of water, farm, soil, management of irrigation facilities, detection of pests and diseases, asset tracking, greenhouse farming, remotely control and diagnosis of farming related equipment etc. This paper presents different applications of IoT in smart agriculture and how productivity has increased which results in adding economic growth to the country using advanced technologies in agriculture industry.

This paper presents a cost effective UV robot for applications of disinfecting hospital and factory spaces from Covid-19 and other communicable diseases. This is based on a disinfection method using a remotely controlled Ultra-Violet (UV) disinfection robot. The robot is equipped with 3 UVC lamps in a 360 degree beam coverage setting, on a mobile base which is equipped with motors, controllers and sensors that allow the lamps to move around and disinfect surfaces with ease. The robot can automatically detect human and or other types of non-living presence over which machine learning models are built that allows for some degree of autonomous control. Its main control unit is operated via WiFi using the mobile as a transceiver device allowing for remote safe control of UVC lamp disinfection.
