A Varactor-Tuned DVB-H Antenna 变容调谐DVB-H天线

This paper presents a novel technique for the design of a varactor-tuned antenna for DVB-H (digital video broadcast-handheld) application. This solution is based on loaded planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA) design. Resonance frequency of the antenna is electrically controlled and thus wideband operation is achieved. A tuning circuit consisting of a varactor diode realizes the needed antenna tuning impedances. Proposed method is verified creating a tunable antenna that covers (470 - 750) MHz and fulfills the specified gain requirement.

Polarisation-Reconfigurable Patch Antenna 极化-可重构贴片天线

A tunable hybrid coupler was successfully designed to feed an antenna for full polarisation capabilities. The proposed solution has the advantages of separating the active devices from the radiating element and thus avoiding any unwanted coupling effects. Also, it provides a full set of polarization states by simply changing the DC bias of both a SPDT and two varactor diodes. The feasibility of the concept was fully demonstrated and validated by Sij parameters and radiation pattern measurements

Dual-band Dielectric Antenna for WLAN Applications 用于WLAN应用的双频介质天线

Having gained insights into the operation of a single band dielectric resonator antenna working at 2.4 GHz, a dual-band dielectric resonator antenna is proposed to operate at both 2.4 GHz and 5.2 GHz for IEEE802.11a/b/g applications, based on a novel feeding method. Characteristics of the prototype antennas are assessed using both finite integration technique simulation and experimental measurement.

3D Field Simulations using FI Time Domain Technique of Wedge-and Parabolic-Shaped Left Handed Materials (LHM) 楔形和抛物线状左手材料(LHM)的FI时域三维场模拟

Wedge- and parabolic shaped structures composed of split-ring resonators (SRR) and wires are numerically simulated by evaluating its refraction and radiation behaviour using CST MICROWAVE STUDIOreg's finite integration time domain solver. Negative phase velocity inside these metamaterials is demonstrated in the left-handed band and the Snell's Law is conformed in terms of its refraction behaviour. Effective electric permittivity and magnetic permeability for these metamaterials are extracted directly from S-parameters of a SRR unit cell described with Lorentz/Drude dispersion models. It is demonstrated that both, models composed of a homogeneous left-handed-material (LHM) and models consisting of a large number of microscopic unit-cells show similar results. Antennas designed with metamaterials offer the ability to adjust phase center easily thereby showing a larger constant phase angle

In this article, we are presenting an innovative design of cross patch antenna on the substrate with ground plane partially removed. The antenna is fed by a microstrip line and yields an omnidirectional pattern. Two antennas with different dimensions are presented. Optimization of design leads to a bandwidth of 28% with sufficient directivity. The proposed antennas can be used for wideband communication applications

Oversampled Antenna Array: Supergain and Diversity Performance 过采样天线阵列:超增益和分集性能

Supergain property and diversity performance in closely spaced antenna array are demonstrated in this work. It is commonly believed that the array spacing has to be greater than 0.5lambda to avoid mutual coupling and correlation between the elements. By applying a multiport impedance matching network, electrically oversampled antenna array is separated into decoupled and orthogonal radiation modes, which lead to the supergain and diversity enhancement.

A novel broadband antenna for UWB or dual-band application using magnetic material substrate is proposed in this paper. The simulation results comparing different combinations of permittivity and permeability are presented. The effects of magnetic substrate parameters on the antenna performance are discussed.

5.2 GHz Differential LTCC Antenna and Balun for Biomedical System in Package (SiP) Application 用于生物医学封装系统(SiP)应用的5.2 GHz差分LTCC天线和Balun

This paper presents the design of a differential integrated LTCC antenna and balun for biomedical system in package (SiP) application. A simple integrated LTCC balun design for testing 5.2 GHz differential antennas is described. Balun dimensions of 9.5 mm times 10 mm at 5.2 GHz are among the smallest reported so far. A rectangular loop antenna integrated with the balun displays good return loss and radiation pattern. It is shown that the antenna gain can be increased by 8.6 dB by employing an experimental ferrite LTCC tape as a superstrate to the regular LTCC substrate. Finally, a parametric study is performed which investigates the effects of ferrite superstrate material properties on the antenna gain. The antenna demonstrates in simulation, strong potential for integration into low power, low cost and short range wireless biomedical sensor systems.

Planar near-field measurement on an omni-directional UWB antenna 全向超宽带天线的平面近场测量

In this paper a novel planar near-field measurement technique is used to characterise an omni-directional ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna. It is shown through numerical simulation and experimental verification that a full sphere far-field pattern of an omni-directional antenna can be obtained with planar near-field acquisition system. It offers a cost effective near-field solution to a class of antenna that currently can only be effectively served with spherical NF scanning.
