Novel AHP-based QoE factors' selection approach 基于层次分析法的QoE因子选择新方法

Due to the accelerating uptake of multimedia services over Internet, Quality of Experience (QoE) assessment has become a topic of prime importance. While current QoE prediction models focus on technology-centered Quality of Service (QoS) parameters as the main influencing keys on user's perception quality, they do not sufficiently address the following question: “Based upon QoS, is it competent to understand the overall QoE?” Two limitations on QoE models have been noticed: (1) lack of factors introducing in assessment models, and (2) studies that examine the impact of each factors on QoE are limited. The need to take a more holistic view of influencing QoE factors has steered researchers towards an in-depth study on the multidimensional aspect of QoE. In order to tackle this challenge and giving the growing importance of understanding QoE and the factors influencing it, our contribution in this paper is to give a solution to get around limits mentioned above. This paper proposes a proper design of selection factor based on the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) derived from a Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) theory. The result shows that due to our model, we can retrieve a ranking of the influential factors. The relevant goal of this paper is to give a structured process that examines influencing factors on QoE. Future QoE assessment models can benefit from applying our proposed model in order to build a QoE model as realistic as possible.

Performance evaluation of interest traffic generation and forwarding strategy impact in ICN ICN中兴趣流量生成及转发策略影响的性能评价

The ICN (Information Centric Networking) approach, totally centered on the content, was proposed to reconstruct the model of Internet communication. It introduces new concepts such as naming, forwarding and caching. The ICN paradigm is explored by several research projects to present a new Internet communication architecture. In this work, we focus on NDN (Named Data Networking) project in order to analyze the impact of Interest traffic generation and Forwarding Strategies for three different Cache Replacement Mechanisms: LFU, LRU, and FIFO. In this paper, we evaluate the effects of these three mechanisms on hit ratios. Our experimental results show that the interest traffic generation has a positive effect on network performance. However, the choice of forwarding strategy has a positive influence on the network performance.

Predicting the functional change status in UML activity diagram from the use case diagram 从用例图中预测UML活动图中的功能变更状态

UML diagrams became a common part of software requirement documentation, implementation, etc. In particular, the Use Case Diagram (UCD) is considered as the de-facto standard for modelling the user requirements at an early phase of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Each use case can be detailed by an Activity Diagram (UAD). Because Functional Changes (FC) are inevitable during the SDLC, it is required to identify the FC status at different levels of granularity. In our previous work, we proposed an approach for measuring the functional size of a FC in the UAD using COSMIC method. In this paper, we propose to extend this approach by including the UCD. In addition, we predict the status of a FC in UAD from its use case. This approach is applied before the FC implementation. It allows a rapid and an approximate evaluation of how important the FC is and it helps designers/managers in decision-making to answer the FC request.

A dynamic anti-windup AQM for congestion control in internet 一种用于网络拥塞控制的动态抗关闭AQM

This paper addresses the design of anti-windup gains for obtaining stability for linear systems with discrete time varying delay and saturating inputs delay. Considering that a dynamic output feedback has been designed to stabilize the AQM system (without saturation), a method is proposed for designing an anti-windup gain which relates the saturation of the queue when congestion, which is inevitable in networks. It is shown that the closed-loop system obtained from the controller plus the anti-windup gain can be modeled by a linear system with a dead zone nonlinearity. A modified sector condition is then used to obtain stability conditions based on Lyapunov functions. Differently from previous works these conditions are directly in linear matrix inequality form. Resulting in a new AQM which will be simulated in MATLAB and compared to RED.

Petri net extension for traffic road modelling 交通道路建模的Petri网扩展

Traffic flow modelling is an essential step for designing and controlling the transportation systems. It is not only necessary for improving safety and transportation efficiency, but also it can yield economic and environmental benefits. Consider the discrete and continuous aspects of traffic flow dynamics, hybrid Petri nets have proved to be a powerful tool for approaching this dynamics and describe the vehicle behavior accurately since they include both aspects. A new extension of hybrid petri net is presented in this paper for generalizing the traffic flow modelling through taking into account state dependencies on external rules which can be timed and also nondeterministic time such as stop sign or priority roads. Moreover, a segmentation of roads is proposed to deal with the accurate localization of events.

3D content generation to moodle platform to support anatomy teaching and learning 3D内容生成到moodle平台,支持解剖学教与学

Anatomy learning is very important for many courses, and it requires understanding three-dimensional (3D) shapes, most forms of anatomy teaching are offered to students through two-dimensional (2D) resources, such as images and videos. Many software solutions were developed with the purpose of assisting anatomy teaching and learning, arranging varied techniques and assets, as interaction and visualization of 3D virtual models. Despite great features, these solutions lack standards utilization and pedagogical methodology. This paper aims to present a 3D content generation technique to Moodle, one of the most popular platforms for teaching and learning management, built upon a specific pedagogical methodology, and validated by educational experts. The standard used in this technique allow sharing and reuse of content not only among Moodle systems, which are used by a large number of educational institutions and professors but also in other Virtual Learning Environments.

Correlation of change size to fault-proneness: A real life case study 变化大小与错误倾向的相关性:一个现实生活中的案例研究

Continuous Integration (CI) is a common practice in agile software development processes. It improves the quality of the developed software and reduces the risk of integration problems. However, the effectiveness of CI depends heavily on the frequency of integration problems. For systematic improvement of the applied agile development process, the effect of large commits on the likelihood of integration problems is examined. Based on data gathered from the version control system and the CI-system of one large-scale, multi-site, agile-organized software development project in telecommunication industry, the size of commits is measured by three metrics: Count of Changed Lines, Count of Changed Files and the Count of Affected Components. As it can be found by this real life case study, there is a strong correlation between the size of a change and the likelihood of integration problems. In addition, the number of changed lines is only indirect correlated to the probability of integration problems.

Analyzing textual documents with new OLAP operators 使用新的OLAP操作符分析文本文档

As the amount of data grows very fast inside and outside of an enterprise, it is getting important to analyze both of them for getting total business intelligence. While online analytical processing (OLAP) techniques have been proven very useful for analyzing structured data, they face challenges in handling unstructured data. To this end, new multidimensional models have been proposed for OLAP purposes. Nevertheless, there is no proposal allowing managing both document structures and the semantics of the textual content. In our previous work, we proposed to integrate the entire document within a Diamond multi-dimensional model. In this paper, based on our proposed model, we provide new OLAP operators that take into account the specificities of this model.

Clustering data stream under a belief function framework 在信念函数框架下对数据流进行聚类

Clustering is a crucial task for massive data that continuously arrive and evolve over time, generated as stream. However, data may be pervaded by uncertainty and imprecision, and techniques that achieve the unsupervised learning with imperfect data sets are unable to deal with such evolving environment. On the other hand, standard methods for clustering data streams are not adapted to an uncertain framework. Hence, in this paper, we propose a method for clustering data stream in an imperfect context, particularly using belief function theory in order to handle the belonging of objects to singletons and disjunctions of clusters.

Investigating low level protocols for Wireless Body Sensor Networks 研究无线身体传感器网络的低级协议

The rapid development of medical sensors has increased the interest in Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) applications where physiological data from the human body and its environment is gathered, monitored, and analyzed to take the proper measures. In WBANs, it is essential to design MAC protocols that ensure adequate Quality of Service (QoS) such as low delay and high scalability. This paper investigates Medium Access Control (MAC) protocols used in WBAN, and compares their performance in a high traffic environment. Such scenario can be induced in case of emergency for example, where physiological data collected from all sensors on human body should be sent simultaneously to take appropriate action. This study can also be extended to cover collaborative WBAN systems where information from different bodies is sent simultaneously leading to high traffic. OPNET simulations are performed to compare the delay and scalability performance of the different MAC protocols under the same experimental conditions and to draw conclusions about the best protocol to be used in a high traffic environment.
