: Based on the literature available on corporate governance (CG) and its impact on firm performance, there is a dearth of research in the Middle East. In UAE, CG rules were introduced in 2009 for implementation from 2010. The aim of the study was to understand the impact of CG components-ownership structure, leadership structure, board composition, board size, financial expert in audit committees on firm performance in terms of Tobin’s Q, Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE) keeping total assets as control variable were assessed using secondary data on firms listed in Abu Dhabi stock exchange (ADX) and Dubai Financial Market (DFM) for the period of 2008-2009 (pre-CG) and 2011-2012 (post-CG) periods. The data were analysed using statistical techniques. The results showed that implementation of good governance practices need not necessarily increase or improve firm performance in the short-term as other external economic factors may have a direct impact on corporate performance. This research has implications for the UAE firms looking to improve their performance.

: Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have assumed a key role in today's society. In fact, we are witnessing an increasingly widespread use of the Internet, a trend seen both at the level of individual citizens and companies, which more and more use these new technologies to promote their products and services. The state entities themselves are also dependent on ICT, due to a digitalisation of public services. In order to determine the impact that the dissemination of ICT can have on society, it is necessary to understand how people and businesses use the internet, namely the information they share or the use of e-commerce. This study frames Portugal's situation in the global context, making it pivotal in order to prevent/minimize risks, showing the habits of people and companies and, more importantly, the trends that can be seen. It can help chart the path to follow in order to prevent cyberattacks and, with this, ensure people's quality of life, which can be greatly affected by cyber risks.

This study aims to test a new conceptual framework for studying the significance of employee performance monitoring for knowledge worker productivity in the construction UAE. Previous research has tended to ignore the mediation relationships that emerge when employee performance monitoring, stress, knowledge management, and knowledge worker interact. The expectancy theory and job-demand control theory helped in explaining the interaction among study constructs. All seven emirates of UAE yielded a total of 497 credible responses from the construction work force. PLS-SEM is used to evaluate structural model relationships between constructs. This research is a first step towards measuring and illustrating the importance of employee performance monitoring with specific reference to knowledge worker productivity. This study demonstrates the significance of brand experience in impacting knowledge worker productivity. The findings show that stress and knowledge management play important mediating roles within the theoretical context. This study made a significant theoretical contribution to the larger body of knowledge by extending the expectancy theory and job-demand control theory. However, it is important to note that other implications, such as empirical and methodological contributions, have been established in addition to theoretical contributions. The results of this study will be useful to policymakers, analysts, and brand managers.

: Data has become the most critical asset that companies have. Companies often lack the experience to generate the highest possible value from their data. Most current studies on this topic were not restricted to the participants' geographical location or industrial sector. The originality of this research is that a survey is sent to industrial companies in Austria solely. This article intends to answer the following research question: 'What is the current state regarding data management in Austrian industrial companies? It should start a discussion in the community if Austrian and European companies are behind their international competitors in company-wide data management. It should also give an overview of standardized KPIs, responsibilities, problems, data storage technology, and decision-making. While most industrial companies in Austria stated that their KPIs are standardized within the company and strategic decisions are based on data, Austrian companies lack behind their international competitors in terms of C-level positions for data management and a company-wide data management strategy.
