Abstract: Phylogenetic analyses show that a group of species of Miconia (Melastomataceae: Miconieae) from the Greater Antilles all form a clade. They share the presence of backward-deflexed filaments with the entire androecium turning pink to red after anthesis and placentation reduced axile to basal. Additionally, many of these species are deciduous, and have fruits with few and relatively large seeds. These species have until recently been recognized in Calycogonium, Miconia, Ossaea and Pachyanthus. The group is composed of 14 species, two from Puerto Rico and 12 from Cuba, including the newly described M. matosiana. We formally describe this clade as M. sect. Liogieria and provide a revision of its species, including an identification key, descriptions, maps and photographs or illustrations for all of them. Twelve names are typified: Calycogonium clidemioides Griseb., C. rosmarinifolium Griseb., Charianthus obliquus Griseb., Graffenrieda obtusa Griseb., Miconia baracoensis Urb., M. cerasiflora Urb., M. cerasiflora var. setulifera Urb., M. confusa Cogn., M. obtusa f. glabrior Urb., M. pachyphylla Cogn., M. thomasiana DC. and M. vernicosa Naudin. , M. obtusa f. glabrior;M. , M. thomasiana DC。和vernicosa Naudin先生。引用本文:b cquer E. Abstract: Phylogenetic analyses of DNA sequences from the plastid gene ndhF from a large number of species of the Asteraceae tribe Inuleae reveal the need for some taxonomic and nomenclatural changes. The genera Laggera, Pentanema and Pluchea as presently understood are all polyphyletic. It is concluded that the old name Vicoa should be used for three species of Pentanema, and a new species of the genus is described. Two species of Cyathocline (previously recognized as a genus in the tribe Astereae) are confirmed to be close to Blumea of the Inuleae–Inulinae and are included here in the latter genus, requiring a new combination. The new genus Galgera, sister to Antiphiona, is described for a former Laggera species. Citation: Anderberg A. A. & Bengtson A. 2022: Taxonomic novelties in the Asteraceae–Inuleae with the description of a new genus, Galgera separate from Laggera. – Willdenowia 52: 373–386. Anderberg a. a.

Abstract: We describe a new endemic densely spined Mammillaria from San Luis Potosí, Mexico. The new species, named M. morentiniana, is distinctive by the presence of a globose to shortly cylindric stem with several glabrous, reddish central spines, radial spines that protrude from the plant like white needle-bristles, and small flowers with pale yellow, lanceolate tepals. We compare it with similar and sympatric species of M. ser. Stylothelae. We include data about habitat and the preliminary status of conservation of the new taxon. Abstract: The history and progress of floristic knowledge on Amaranthaceae occurring in Greece and adjacent Balkan countries are briefly outlined and changes in family circumscription and generic delimitation are addressed. The new combinations Amaranthus blitoides [var. blitoides] f. thellungii (Sennen ex Thell.) Raus and A. blitoides [var. reverchonii] f. densifolius (Uline & W. L. Bray) Raus are published. The names Achyranthes argentea Lam. and Amaranthus commutatus A. Kern. ex Hayek are lectotypified, the former a synonym of Achyranthes sicula (L.) All , the latter of Amaranthus blitum L. Amaranthus commutatus A. Kern. has long been known as a designation with no nomenclatural value for a fictitious taxon but is still erroneously accepted in current floristic online sources. Abstract: Three new species of Isoetes (Isoetaceae) are described from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda and Burundi for inclusion in the family treatment for the Flore d'Afrique Centrale. Isoetes hallei sp. nov. is related to I. alstonii and I. schweinfurthii, I. rwandensis sp. nov. to I. abyssinica and I. welwitschii, and I. pichisermollii sp. nov. to I. abyssinica and I. schweinfurthii. The differences between these species are discussed and geographical distribution maps for the new species are presented. The conservation status of the new species is preliminarily assessed. The megaspores of the type specimens of I. abyssinica, I. alstonii, I. schweinfurthii and I. welwitschii were studied using Scanning Electron Microscopy to distinguish the new species from the more similar other ones.
