Abstract: The delimitation of the genera Pyramidanthe and Mitrella in the tribe Uvarieae of the family Annonaceae is assessed by molecular phylogenetic analyses and morphological re-evaluation. Using up to six plastid DNA regions (matK, ndhF, rbcL exons; trnL intron; psbA-trnH, trnL-trnF intergenic spacers) and including, among others, two accessions of Pyramidanthe and five accessions of Mitrella, the resulting phylogeny shows that Pyramidanthe and Mitrella are recovered in a clade sister to the Fissistigma clade. The Pyramidanthe-Mitrella clade is composed of a trichotomy: a clade consisting of Pyramidanthe accessions and two clades containing Mitrella accessions. In combination with negligible morphological distinctions between the two genera, they are consequently merged, with 11 new combinations under the chosen name Pyramidanthe: P. beccarii, P. clementis, P. cylindrica, P. dielsii, P. elegans, P. kentii, P. ledermannii, P. mabiformis, P. schlechteri, P. sylvatica and P. tiwiensis. The names M. dielsii (the basionym of P. dielsii) and P. rufa (a heterotypic synonym of P. prismatica) are lectotypified. Pyramidanthe s. lat. possesses the following diagnostic traits: usually indistinct secondary leaf veins with a brochidodromous to brochidodromous-eucamptodromous venation, a reticulate tertiary leaf venation, axillary inflorescences, presence of a basal excavation on an inner side of each outer petal, and inner petals that are much smaller than the outer petals and cohering marginally at anthesis. Abstract: Scutellaria is one of the largest genera in the Lamiaceae with an estimated 400–500 species with a nearly worldwide distribution. Most species occur in the N hemisphere, with the Caucasus and the wider Irano-Turanian region housing a large number of taxa, many of them considered endemic. We present an overall phylogeny of the monophyletic genus Scutellaria based on rapidly evolving plastid regions (matK-trnK, rpl16, trnL-F). Three well-supported clades are evident, which render the currently accepted S. subg. Scutellaria paraphyletic to S. subg. Apeltanthus, which appears nested in “clade A”, in which the African S. schweinfurthii is sister to all remaining taxa, followed by other lineages of S. subg. Scutellaria. Ancestral states of 12 morphological characters frequently used as diagnostic from subgenus to species level were reconstructed with BayesTraits. The S. orientalis group appears as a major radiation in the Caucasus area and the Irano-Turanian region that may comprise up to a quarter of the species in the genus. This radiation corresponds to a monophyletically defined S. sect. Lupulinaria, characterized by decussate inflorescences and specialized (e.g. cucullate) bracts. Our phylogenetic data present significant resolution at the species level within the S. orientalis group, indicating complex geographically centred patterns of speciation in adaptation to steppe and high mountain habitats, including multiple evolution of pinnate and tomentose leaves. The detailed infrageneric classification of Juzepczuk (1951, 1954) mostly does not reflect natural groups. Citation: Salimov R. Abstract: Here we describe a new species of Passiflora subg. Passiflora (Passifloraceae sensu stricto) found in the Brazilian Atlantic rainforest in areas of campos rupestres of the João Pinto formation in Minas Gerais and on granitic inselbergs of Espírito Santo. The new species, named Passiflora ita, is described, illustrated, compared to similar species and its conservation status is preliminarily assessed as Endangered (EN) following IUCN Red List categories and criteria, reinforcing the importance of the areas where it occurs (which are not national or state-level parks) as priorities for conservation. Mezzonato-Pires a . Abstract: A morphometric-based taxonomic revision of the Siler montanum group (Apiaceae) from Italy and the Balkan Peninsula was carried out. Multivariate and univariate analyses were performed on 47 morphological characters including seven ratios, and based on the study of 328 dried herbarium specimens. According to our results, the characters employed in the study revealed their suitability as key characters for the examined taxa. A taxonomic treatment was presented and a new diagnostic key to the S. montanum group is also provided for Italy and Balkan Peninsula. Ten taxa were recognized within the group, and among them three new subspecies were described: S. montanum subsp. apuanum, S. montanum subsp. corrasianum and S. montanum subsp. ogliastrinum. Furthermore, three new combinations were proposed: S. zernyi subsp. laeve, S. zernyi subsp. ochridanum and S. montanum subsp. stabianum. Six names were lectotypified: Laserpitium garganicum var. balcanicum, L. garganicum var. laeve, L. garganicum var. scabrum, L. siculum var. stabianum, L. siler var. ovalifolium and Ligusticum garganicum. Occurrences were confirmed for Siler zernyi subsp. zernyi in Greece and S. zernyi subsp. laeve in North Macedonia. Occurrences were excluded for S. montanum subsp. garganicum in Greece and North Macedonia and S. montanum subsp. siculum in C and S Italy. ogliastrinum。 stabianum。 scabrum, L. siculum var stabium, L. silver var ovalifolium和Ligusticum garganicum。
