This study aims to explain (1) the implementation of character education values in Indonesian language learning at MAN 2 Bengkulu City (2) explain the supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of character education values in Indonesian language learning at MAN 2 Bengkulu City. The type of research is qualitative research. Data collection techniques are observation, interview, and document analysis. Data validity technique is triangulation method. Data analysis technique is Miles and Huberman model: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results concluded that MAN 2 Bengkulu City had implemented the value of character education at the planning, implementation, and assessment stages. In planning, Indonesian language teachers have included the value of character education in the lesson plan. The overall implementation of MAN 2 Bengkulu City has implemented 14 character education values in Indonesian language learning. In the assessment carried out by Indonesian language subject teachers, it is found in the lesson plan which not only assesses in terms of academics. However, it also assesses non-academic aspects such as assessing student attitudes. Supporting factors for the implementation of character education values in Indonesian language learning are lesson plans that include character education values. The inhibiting factors for the implementation of character education values in Indonesian language learning are student behavior and not yet having a language laboratory.

This research was conducted with the aim of finding out whether there is significant improvement on students’ reading comprehension achievement before and after being taught by using THIEVES strategy and there is significant differences on students’ reading comprehension achievement who are taught by using THIEVES strategy and those who are not. This research was conducted for 12 meetings and quasi-experimental research design was used to conduct the research. The population in this study were all seventh grade students of SMPN 1 Panang Enim. In selecting the sample the writer used purposive sampling technique and in this study the total sample was 62 which included the experimental class and controll class. To analyze the data the writer used paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test via SPSS 25. Based on the result of paired sample t-test, the p-output was 0.000 with df=30 (2.042), and t-output was 6.291. Since the p-output was lower than 0.05 and t-output was higher than t-table (2.042) therefore it can be concluded that there was significant improvement from students’ pre-test to post-test scores in experimental class taught by using THIEVES Strategy. And based on the result of independent sample t-test, the p-output was 0.002 with df=60 (1.671), and t-output was 3.212. Since the p-output was lower than 0.05 and the t-output was higher than t-table (1.671) therefore it can be concluded that that there was significant difference on students’ reading comprehension achievement who are taught by using THIEVES strategy and those who are not at SMPN 1 Panang Enim.

The background of this research is that the writer wants to examine the use of grammar in improving writing efficacy. The purpose of this study was to find out the application of Grammarly to improve the efficiency of writing skills in senior high schools. Researchers used descriptive qualitative methods by using interviews, observations, and questionnaires. In this study, 30 participants were observed, and at the end of the interview, eight students with high questionnaire results were taken to be interpreted. Participants are high school students studying in the 2022/2023 school year. The results and discussion show that Grammarly helps high school students learn writing. Students are interested and confident in using Grammarly with the various advantages available during the learning process. This tool is also practical to use and easy to access, so it doesn't make it difficult for students. Students showed positive views of using Grammarly and felt that it was more helpful in exploring writing skills using Grammarly with their various advantages.

This study aims to determine the differences in cognitive learning outcomes (in the form of pre-test and post-test scores) of students in class X IPA 1 as a control class and class XI IPA 4 as experimental class at SMA N 1 Bengkulu Tengah, by providing treatment using the Word Walls. This type of research is Quasi Experiment. The population is eleventh grade students of SMA N 1 Bengkulu Tengah with 368 students. From this population, 37 students were taken as samples. Each class is 35 students XI IPA 1 and 35 students XI MIPA 4. Research data were collected through writing tests and documentation. The results showed a significant change in the experimental class with an average value of 71.63 while in the control class an average value of 58,37. The post-test results show that the Word Walls strategy can improve students' writing skills. Thus, the Word Walls strategy can be one of effective strategy to increase students‟ writing ability.

Code switching is a switch from one language to another or from one dialect to another or vice versa, the occurrence of code switching due to changes in certain situations. The use of language is very important because language is the most important thing so that humans can interact with each other, especially in the interaction of a more formal scope of learning. Learning is an effort to prepare teaching and learning activities by teachers for students. Teachers are people who are assigned to be responsible for the growth and development of students towards educated humans. In learning, teachers are emphasized to be able to apply Indonesian properly and correctly as a unified language, namely Indonesian, which is inversely proportional to the situation in the observed school. This study aims to determine the form of teacher language code switching and factors that influence teacher language code switching in Indonesian language learning in class II SD Negeri 11 Ulu Musi District, Empat Lawang Regency. The methods used are observation, interview, and documentation. It can be concluded that the code switching process carried out by Indonesian teachers in teaching and learning activities uses the type of internal code switching, namely the code switching of the teacher's language from Indonesian to local language, both learning activities in the introduction, core and closing phases. Factors that influence the teacher's language code switching, namely internal and external. Internally, teachers are not too confident to always use Indonesian. Then externally code switching occurs due to environmental factors that are accustomed to using local languages, so that speech partners find it difficult to understand messages conveyed with other than local languages.
