An Empirical Study on the Determinants of Optimal Size of the Korean Military Force Using Panel Data Analysis 基于面板数据分析的韩国军队最优规模决定因素实证研究

This study aims to analyze the determinants that affect the appropriate size of the Korean military, estimating the appropriate size of the Korean military based on the theoretical model. Compared to previous empirical studies on appropriate troop size using cross-sectional data, this study attempts to analyze parameter estimates of the empirical analysis model more accurately and efficiently by using panel data, which is considering individual characteristic effects and time characteristic effects for empirical analysis. Main research results are as follows. First, defense spending, population, and weapon system's level significantly affect the proper size of the Korean military at the 5% level of significance, while threats and military service system are statistically significant at the 10% level of significance. Secondly, based on the empirical model, the appropriate size of the Korean military was estimated as 0.329 million. The estimated appropriate troop size may suggest the need for continuous military innovation into a technology and capital-intensive military structure, for the Korean military to break away from the volume-oriented military structure in the future.

College Students’ Intentions for Annual Bivalent mRNA COVID-19 Vaccination After the Easing of COVID-19 Pandemic Quarantine Meaures 放宽新冠肺炎大流行隔离措施后大学生年度二价mRNA疫苗接种意向

This study aimed to explore and understand the intention of college students to receive the bivalent mRNA COVID-19 vaccine following the easing of quarantine measures related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Data were collected through an online survey conducted from February 9 to 28, 2023 involving 200 students. The bivalent mRNA COVID-19 vaccination rate among the college students was founded to be 2.0%. The intention to get the bivalent mRNA COVID-19 vaccine scored an average of 2.77±1.75 out of 7 points. Factors influencing vaccination intentions for the bivalent mRNA COVID-19 vaccine were identified as perception on the effectiveness of the vaccine (β=1.29, p<.001) and education about the vaccine (β=0.50, p=.002). These factors collectively accounted for the variance in vaccination intention (Adjusted R2=0.18, F=4.90, p<.001). This study highlights a low vaccination intention among the college students regarding the bivalent mRNA COVID-19 vaccine. It underscores the importance of implementing strategies to improve vaccination rates in this demographic given the influencing identified in this study.

The Effects of Interpersonal Problems and Self-Efficacy on the Happiness of Clinical Nurse at Smaller Hospitals 人际关系问题与自我效能感对小型医院临床护士幸福感的影响

The purpose of this study was to confirm the effect of interpersonal problems and self-efficacy on happiness of clinical nurses in small and medium-sized hospitals. This study attempted to use it as basic data to prepare an interpersonal coping program to improve happiness by improving interpersonal problems and self-efficacy of clinical nurses, and an intervention strategy to improve self-efficacy and happiness. This study is a descriptive correlation study of 154 nurses in small and medium-sized hospitals. The results showed that the respondents who were unmarried and who had no child scored higher for interpersonal problems; In the case of, self-efficacy those who were in their forties or older, who are graduate school alumni or at higher education levels, who had ≥3 children, who had ≥20 years of career, and who were at the senior nurse's position or higher scored higher for self-efficacy. The interpersonal problems were significantly negatively correlated with self-efficacy (r=-.58, p<.001); the interpersonal problems were significantly negatively correlated with happiness (r=-.50, p<.001); self-efficacy was significantly positively correlated with happiness (r=.61, p<.001); and self-efficacy had the most substantial impact on happiness among nurses (β=.43, p=<.001). Based on these results, it is necessary to provide working conditions and programs that can help improve nurses' self-efficacy.

The Effect of Pre-service Early Childhood Teachers' Playfulness and Play Belief on Play Teaching Efficacy 职前幼儿教师的游戏性和游戏信念对游戏教学效能的影响

The purpose of this study was to construct a hypothetical model based on the life satisfaction of multicultural youths and ecological system theory. In this study, the data of 1,197 high school students who participated in the 8th year of the Multicultural Youth Panel Survey (2018) conducted by the Korea Youth Policy Institute were used for the final analysis. The measurement variables consisted of bi-cultural acceptance attitude, achievement motivation, and family support as exogenous variables, self-esteem and school adaptation as endogenous variables, and life satisfaction as outcome variables. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 23.0 and Amos 21.0 programs. The hypothetical model calculated chi verification, basic fit index, adjusted fit index, double root of approximate error mean square, comparative fit index, standard fit index, and average difference between elements, and the model was found to be suitable. Factors that directly affect life satisfaction of multicultural adolescents were self-esteem, family support, and school adaptation, In addition, self-esteem and school adaptation were found to be important mediating factors between bi-cultural acceptance attitude, achievement motivation, and family support. Therefore various programs should be prepared to improve the life satisfaction of multicultural youths.
