The research delved into how knowledge is shared among employees at Tamale Technical University. Using frequency and percentage scores, the study established a positive inclination towards knowledge sharing. The majority of participants demonstrated both an understanding (60%) and a willingness (71.1%) to actively engage in sharing knowledge. Also, the study identified workshops and training sessions as the primary methods for disseminating knowledge, with 28.7% of respondents preferring this approach. This underscores the significance of structured learning environments in facilitating the transfer of knowledge among employees. Additionally, the research revealed key factors influencing knowledge sharing. Trust (Beta = 2.052, Sig. = .020) computed at p < 0.05 emerged as a significant catalyst, indicating that as trust levels increase, so does the willingness to share knowledge. Moreover, both management support (Beta = 2.618, Sig. = .023) and university policies (Beta = 2.256, Sig. = .009) were found to have positive significant effects on knowledge-sharing behaviours, underscoring the crucial role of organisational support in fostering a collaborative knowledge-sharing environment. The study recommends a focus on initiatives such as open communication, transparent decision-making and mutual respect that will cultivate and fortify trust levels among employees for knowledge sharing.

The Nigerian public university education system has faced challenges in recent years, affecting the timely graduation of many students. The smaller number of universities, their insufficient enrolment spaces and frequent strikes by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) have been greatly responsible for the problem. This has led to a shift in attitudes towards public universities, with parents and students increasingly patronizing private universities over them. This, in turn, has led to the proliferation of the said private universities. However, many students and parents cannot afford private universities due to high tuition fees since the institutions have to fund all their programmes and pay staff salaries and other administrative costs, which amount to a lot of expenses. This has led to a question of whether the Federal Government could partner with private universities to fund them, even if partially. This present study, therefore, argues that, given their usefulness, private universities should be encouraged and supported by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), which was established by the Nigerian government to support public tertiary institutions in the country.

Some African traditional practices are inimical to the rights and status of the women folk as free-born in the society. Some of these traditional practices have lingered. Although there exist Pre-contact indigenous women organisations, which were formed mainly to protect the interest of women, a great number of these obnoxious practices are still being perpetrated unchecked, even in 21st-century Nigeria. The pertinent question this paper seeks to address is why these practices still exist despite the economic, psychological and psycho-social effects they bring upon the development of women. The paper utilised both primary and secondary sources. The case studies were based on selected communities in Nigeria. The paper argues that the continuous perpetration of these practices on women, which is a blatant disregard for human dignity and poses a serious threat to women's development, is due to the inability of these indigenous women's organisations to enforce their social responsibility roles. The paper recommends that to ensure substantial contributions by women to the sustainable development of the nation at large, certain debilitating traditional practices against women should be eradicated so that they can explore their full potential.

This research explores the intricate landscape of apprenticeship in Ghana, focusing on the traditional apprenticeship system and the contemporary challenges it confronts. Traditional apprenticeships have long served as a fundamental mechanism for skill development, predominantly within the informal sector of the nation. Using a descriptive research approach, this study conducts a comprehensive literature review to elucidate the historical and prevailing policies designed to regulate apprenticeship in Ghana. Findings reveal that issues such as inadequate regulation, financial constraints, and a misalignment between acquired skills and employer expectations have emerged as substantial impediments to the efficacy of the system. In response to these challenges, the Ghanaian government has instigated a series of reform initiatives aimed at fortifying and modernizing the apprenticeship framework. Central to these endeavors are the National Apprenticeship Programme and the Ghana Skills Development Initiative, both seeking to formalize and enhance traditional apprenticeships. The introduction of the National Apprenticeship Policy in 2020 further cements the government's dedication to advancing apprenticeships, with a particular emphasis on competency-based training and greater integration with the formal education system. These policy reforms signify critical strides towards ameliorating the limitations inherent in the current apprenticeship system, ultimately aiming to bolster the employability of young apprentices and foster economic and social development. Effective collaboration among a spectrum of stakeholders, including governmental bodies, Master Crafts Persons, and vocational institutions, assumes paramount importance in the successful implementation and monitoring of these policies.

The aim of this study was to determine the influence of facilities management on workers' performance within the hotel industry, with a specific focus on maintenance management, workplace design and adherence to facilities regulations and standards in 3-5 star rated hotels in Nairobi County. The study employed a descriptive survey approach, and a purposive sampling technique was utilized to select 144 respondents' selected classified hotels. Data collection instruments included: self-administered questionnaires, interview guides and observation checklists. Descriptive statistics were analyzed through quantitative data, while qualitative insights were obtained from hotel workers. Major findings revealed that the majority of respondents, 52.8%, considered maintenance strategies in hotels as fairly efficient in supporting their daily work activities. 80% of staff and managers indicated that hotels provided training and safe procedures in response to facilities standards and regulations, including compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2007. However, a notable prevalence of accidents and injuries within these establishments was identified, which stood at 57.5%. On multiple regression analysis, maintenance management emerged as the most significant factor in predicting workers' performance, making a substantial contribution. Therefore, the study concludes that maintenance management plays a pivotal role in influencing workers' performance in the hotel industry. As a result, the study recommends that hotel management prioritizes preventive maintenance practices to reduce emergency maintenance and establish a sinking fund to address non-compliance with facility standards and health policies within hotels. These measures have the potential to enhance the overall performance and safety of workers, thereby contributing to the success and sustainability of the hotel industry.

The research conducted in this study focused on exploring the challenges associated with frugal business modelling in the context of agribusinesses. The study employed a cross-sectional survey design and targeted managers and operational staff working in agribusinesses affiliated with the National Association of Seed Traders of Ghana (NASTAG). The collected data underwent a series of statistical analyses, including exploratory factor analysis, principal component analysis, and varimax rotation. These analyses were performed on the questionnaires, which contained variables assessing the challenges related to frugal business modelling. The findings of the study revealed that several challenges hinder the frugal business modelling in Ghana. These challenges were categorised into six factors: coordination, information and dissemination, regulation and supervision, funding, service delivery, and the institutional framework. These factors emerged after applying exploratory factor analysis, principal component analysis, and varimax rotation techniques. Together, these six factors accounted for 65.6% of the explained variance in the data. The identified challenges have both theoretical and practical implications for enhancing the sustainability of agribusinesses. They provide valuable insights into the specific areas that need attention and improvement to promote the long-term viability of agribusiness operations. However, despite the significance of these findings, the study also recommended the exploration of longitudinal studies. Conducting longitudinal research would enable a deeper understanding of the enduring impact of frugal business modelling on agribusiness sustainability. By examining agribusinesses over an extended period, researchers can gain insights into the dynamics and long-term effects of frugal practices on sustainability outcomes.

The paper provides a comprehensive examination of research on how to enhance productivity in the workplace by motivating employees. First, the paper introduces the concept of employee motivation and its impact on output. The article then delves into several theories, including Maslow's hierarchy of needs, Herzberg's two-factor theory, and expectation theory, to better understand what motivates workers and how these factors can increase employee engagement. The paper also discusses various approaches and practices that have proven effective in boosting morale and productivity in the workplace. These include goal-setting, rewards and recognition, and employee participation in decision-making. Furthermore, the paper highlights the importance of strong leadership in fostering an inspiring workplace. Leaders play a crucial role in establishing the direction, communicating it clearly, and promoting an environment that encourages teamwork and constructive criticism. In addition, the paper summarizes studies that have examined the efficiency of different forms of motivation. The results suggest that proper goal setting, feedback, and appropriate rewards and recognition significantly benefit employee motivation and performance. The paper stresses the need for regular assessment and improvement of incentive strategies to ensure their long-term efficacy. The paper concludes by pointing out specific gaps in the existing literature and offering suggestions for further study. Given the significance of teams in contemporary businesses, the study suggests that more research is needed on team-level motivation than has been conducted.

The study investigated the Roles of Procurement Committees in Promoting Construction of Quality Infrastructure in Public Primary Schools in Moshi Municipal Council, Tanzania. The study anchored on Resource Dependence Theory, whereas convergent design under a mixed methods research approach was employed. Probability and non-probability sampling techniques (simple random, stratified random and purposive sampling) were used to sample 113 participants from 6 public primary schools and Municipal heads of departments. Questionnaires and interview guides were used to collect data. Validity of the instruments was established through three experts from the Department of educational planning and Administration at Mwenge Catholic University, whereas reliability of the instruments was established through the Cronbach's Alpha technique (reliability coefficient = 0.8). Quantitative data were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Hypothesis was tested at a significant level of 0.05. Qualitative data from the interview guides were analysed thematically by transcribing the information, coding and generating themes according to the research questions that were presented in verbatim quotations. The study revealed that public primary schools' procurement committee members and experts worked hard to ensure construction and renovation materials and services were acquired in accordance with Force Account Method and Public Procurement Regulatory Authority regulations. The study also found out that primary schools' committee members were not certain about their procurement roles in planning and purchasing because they were not involved by the head teachers in the procurement process. This tendency compromised the quality of infrastructure being constructed and renovated in public primary schools in Moshi Municipality. The study concluded that the procurement committee had a significant role in constructing public primary school buildings in Moshi Municipality. The study recommended that the Ministry of PO RALG should create awareness among head teachers on the roles of procurement committee members and experts.

This paper explores the historical perspectives and contemporary trends of urbanization in France, shedding light on the transformations, challenges, and opportunities that have shaped the country's urban landscape over time. The article begins by tracing the roots of urbanization in the nineteenth century when industrialization spurred rapid urban growth in cities like Paris, Lyon, Marseille, and Bordeaux. The rise of urban infrastructure, including factories, transportation networks, and housing, accommodated the growing urban population. The twentieth century marked a transition in France's urbanization patterns, with post-war reconstruction, suburbanization, and changing societal dynamics playing significant roles. Efforts were made to rebuild and modernize cities after the World Wars, resulting in urban renewal projects and architectural changes. Suburbanization emerged as a trend driven by the desire for improved living conditions outside overcrowded city centers. In recent decades, globalization, technological advancements, and changing lifestyles have influenced urban development patterns in France. Metropolitan areas, particularly the Greater Paris Region, have experienced significant expansion, concentrating economic activities, cultural institutions, and population. However, smaller towns and rural areas have faced population decline and struggles to maintain services and infrastructure. The consequences of urbanization in France have been multifaceted. Cities have become centers of economic innovation, cultural vibrancy, and educational opportunities, attracting talent and fostering creativity. Additionally, urban areas have played a crucial role in France's tourism industry, with cities like Paris and Lyon being major global destinations. The study investigated the practicability of fundraising used by heads of schools in mobilizing physical resources in public secondary schools in Hai District. The study was guided by one research question. Convergent research design under a mixed methods approach was employed. The study anchored on Resource Mobilization theory. The targeted population was 1 District Secondary Education Officer, 624 teachers, and 31 heads of schools in public secondary schools in Hai District. Probability and non-probability sampling techniques were used to select 124 Teachers, 6 Heads of School and 1 DSEO, making a total of 131 respondents. Data were collected through Questionnaires, interview guides and document analysis guides. Validation of instruments was done by three research experts from Mwenge Catholic University. The reliability of quantitative data collection instruments was ensured through Cronbach alpha for Likert-type items where the coefficient determined was 0.7, hence acceptable for data collection. Credibility of qualitative data collection instruments such as interview guides and document analysis guides was ensured through triangulation. Quantitative data was analyzed using descriptive statistics to generate percentages, frequencies and means scores. Qualitative data from the interview guide was organized and analyzed thematically. The study found fundraising to be an essential strategy to bridge resource gaps, improve the availability of physical resources, and common strategies for mobilizing physical resources in public secondary schools. The study recommends that teachers and heads of schools strengthen teamwork in conducting fundraising for the mobilization of physical resources.
