The study of graph width parameters is highly significant in graph theory and combinatorics. Among these parameters, linear-width is particularly well-regarded and established. The concepts of Single Filter and Linear Obstacle pose challenges to achieving optimal linear-width in a connectivity system. In this concise paper, we present an alternative proof that establishes the cryptomorphism between Single Filter and Linear Obstacle. Although this proof may not be highly novel, we hope it will enhance the understanding of the intricate relationship between graph width parameters and ultrafilters.

Moment of inertia, a fundamental concept in physics and engineering and a chief factor influencing the rotational motion of objects, is the quantitative measure of the rotational inertia of objects. It is the resistance that the objects exhibit to having their speed of rotation about an axis altered by the employment of a turning force. This paper presents a reevaluation of the moment of inertia. By exploring the arithmetic of zero and minus one factorial, we uncover the true essence of the particles involved in rotational motion. Our innovative approach reconciles intuition with mathematical precision, revealing the hidden structure underlying moment of inertia. This breakthrough enables a deeper understanding of physical systems, empowering researchers to tackle complex challenges with renewed confidence and creativity. Our work has far-reaching implications for novel applications and innovations in physics and engineering, illuminating the path for future discoveries.

This paper thoroughly examines the Hilbertian properties of the Sobolev space H1((Omega)). Based on the Lebesgue space L2((Omega)), H1((Omega)) is of particular importance in the analysis of functions with weak derivatives. The focus is on the Hilbertian structure of this space, which allows for the definition of a specific inner product and a rigorous verification of the associated completeness. These fundamental characteristics facilitate a detailed study of convergence, continuity, and orthogonality of functions in H1((Omega)), thereby enhancing its relevance for solving various complex mathematical problems. This paper aims to address gaps identified in the existing literature, where the explicit verification of these essential properties is sometimes omitted, thus compromising mathematical rigor and the applicability of results in various contexts.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge influence on world health, with many countries enacting lockdowns and social distancing measures to help reduce transmission. However, the efficiency of these efforts is questionable, particularly in locations like as North East Nigeria, where specific socioeconomic and demographic characteristics can alter virus transmission dynamics. In this paper, we assess the pandemic in North East Nigeria by modifying the SIR to SEIR compartmental model, which incorporates data from the National Centre for Disease Control. We exposed that social distancing techniques like face masks, hand washing, and avoiding big gatherings are more successful than lockdowns in slowing the spread of COVID-19 in the region. Our findings suggest that future pandemic response plans should concentrate on social distancing measures that are both effective and feasible while avoiding the economic and social disruptions caused by lockdowns. Our work emphasizes the significance of specialized approaches to pandemic control in varied situations, including North East Nigeria.

The dynamics of the co-infection of monkeypox and HIV/AIDS is examined from a mathematical perspective via a deterministic 13-compartment model. This consists of the investigation of the equilibrium points, the basic reproduction numbers and the equilibrium points’ stability. The mathematical analysis reveals that the model is epidemiologically well-posed, and that the basic reproduction number for the monkeypox sub-model is a function of the likelihood of getting infected, the rate of effective contact, the infection coefficient of the monkeypox-infectious class, the monkeypox prevention measure, the progression rate from monkeypox-exposed class to monkeypox-infectious class, the natural death rate, the vaccination rate and the waning rate of the vaccine. It also depends on the recovery rate for the monkeypox-exposed class and the monkeypox-induced death rate. The analysis also reveals that the basic reproduction number for the HIV/AIDS sub-model is a function of the likelihood of getting infected, the rate of effective contact, the HIV/AIDS prevention measure, the infection coefficient of the monkeypox-infectious class, the HIV/AIDS-induced death rate, the natural death rate, the infection coefficient of AIDS-only class, and the progression rate of HIV-only class to AIDS-only. The stability analysis reveals that the disease-free equilibrium of the sub-models are globally asymptomatically stable, when the basic reproduction number is less than unity. Numerical simulations of the model reveal the effect of changes in certain parameter values on the population sizes. Increasing or lowering the values of certain parameters can significantly affect the sizes of some classes. The Maple 18 programming software was used to carry out all calculations and numerical simulations.

Polignac's Conjecture, proposed by Alphonse de Polignac in the 19th century, is a captivating hypothesis that extends the notion of twin primes to a broader context. It posits that for any even positive integer 2k, there exist infinitely many pairs of consecutive prime numbers whose difference is 2k. This conjecture is a natural generalization of the Twin Prime Conjecture, which focuses solely on pairs of primes differing by two. The conjecture has significant implications for our understanding of the distribution of prime numbers and the nature of their gaps and its exploration serves as a testament to the enduring fascination and mystery surrounding prime numbers and their properties. However, despite extensive efforts by mathematicians over the years, Polignac's Conjecture remains unproven, standing as one of the many unsolved problems in number theory. This study utilizes a set of all odd partitions generated from an even number of a new formulation, and we show that from this set of all pairs of odd numbers, there exist proper subsets containing infinitely many pairs of prime numbers whose differences is a fixed even gap. Finally, using these results and the facts that the difference of any two prime numbers is even and there exist infinitely many prime numbers, a logical proof of the Polignac's Conjecture is provided.
