The sustainable development of Vietnamese corporate bond market will contribute to promoting the development of the capital market and create an additional channel of capital mobilization for the economy and businesses. From the perspective of stakeholders, this study uses statistical data on the operation of corporate bond market in Vietnam during the period 2018-2022 to analyze its development and point out its limitations. Finally, a number of solutions are proposed for involved parties to promote the sustainable development of Vietnamese corporate bond market and turn it into the main capital mobilization channel for businesses in the near future

Human resources play a particularly important role in shaping the strategies, building plans, and action programs of a business in general, as well as of a specific commercial bank. This is a key factor that determines the success of an organization, especially in the context of digital technology and the strong development of the 4.0 revolution, which is constantly changing as it is today. Through a comprehensive document review and analysis, the authors have summarized the experiences of several countries and surveyed 15 commercial banks in Vietnam to propose the establishment of standards for leadership positions, management, and key expertise in commercial banks in Vietnam. The research results contribute to improving the effectiveness of human resource utilization in the operations of commercial banks in Vietnam.

Digital transformation in education started to be mentioned and popular in the world around 2015-2017 and was mentioned in Vietnam around 2018. During this period, universities around the world are witnessing a revolution in the admission counseling process. Traditional approaches are gradually giving way to innovative digital solutions, creating a more efficient, transparent and comprehensive admissions experience. By qualitative and observing trends, this article will provide an overview of the digital transformation process, focusing on the benefits and challenges of the increasingly progressive university admission process, in addition to that, referencing the current situation and issues facing to the Banking Academy of Vietnam.

This study examines the factors affecting the financial performance of insurance companies in Vietnam. Based on the panel data of 32 insurance companies from 2009 to 2022, the authors conduct a test of model selection to determine the model that fits the data sample. The results indicate that total assets, number of operation years, growth of premium revenue have a positive impact on the financial performance of insurance companies. The compensation rate, financial leverage, and inflation rate have a negative impact on the financial performance of insurance companies. Therefore, to enhance the financial performance, insurers should minimize underwriting risk, improve the loss adjustment, and maintain a suitable leverage

After 62 years of formation and development, the Banking Academy of Vietnam (BAV) is facing new challenges in terms of development orientation in the context of a rapidly changing digital economy and digital society. The strengths of BAV in the past have been promoted and brought BAV’s position today as a convenient location in the center of Hanoi, a school affiliated with the banking industry, with a long history of training and a team of committed and enthusiastic lecturers. However, in the new context of the digital age, many advantages may have reached their limit and besides, many factors have revealed weaknesses that need to be overcome, leaving little room for development. BAV’s campus is always overloaded, library space is becoming more and more cramped, the management of lecture halls and facilities is becoming increasingly inadequate, the need for learner experience is increasing, especially for digital services, etc. Digital transformation (DT) is considered the key to help BAV overcome the above weaknesses, helping to increase effectiveness and efficiency in management and administration activities and improve competitiveness in the context of integration. Building a digital banking bachelor degree at the Banking Academy, aiming to meet human resources with expertise and skills in the field of digital banking, is necessary and urgent in the context of promoting the digital economy. Using in-depth interviews with employers, alumni, lecturers and experts in the field of Digital Banking in June 2022 and text analysis method, the article synthesize and analyze the necessity of building and developing the Digital Banking Bachelor degree. The research and analyze the foundation for buidling Digital Banking Bachelor degree, including goals and Program learning outcomes in the comparation and correlation with UNESCO’s views and present some issues raised in the process of building and operating the Digital Banking Bachelor Program in Banking Academy of Vietnam.

In recent years, money laundering has become a serious problem in many countries and has always received the attention of international organizations and policymakers. As professional financial institutions, banks are not only a place to conduct financial transactions but also undertake their social responsibilities in protecting the national financial system from illegal and criminal activities. One of the most important tasks of the banking industry is anti-money laundering (AML). Using methods of synthesizing and analyzing documents, this article conducts an overview of AML in Vietnam; highlight the role of the banking industry in AML. Research results show that the current situation of money laundering risks in Vietnam is very complex, spanning many groups of source criminals as well as different sectors of the economy. and the role of the banking industry in AML is very important. From there, the article proposes a number of solutions to increase the effectiveness of detecting and preventing money laundering crimes in the banking industry.

This study examines the determinants of financing choices of Vietnamese non-financial firms from 2012 to 2022. Our empirical analysis with multinomial logit regression reveals that size, liquidity, profitability, interest payments, depreciation ratios and the stock performance have significant impacts on the probability of financing choices in Vietnamese firms. In particular, we find that increased liquidity would lead to higher chance of using internal finance, while bigger firms tend to issue shares to meet their financing requirements. Moreover, improvement in the profitability and stock performance result to higher probability of using internal finance, whereas higher interest payment ratios is associated with higher probability of issuing bonds in the subsequent year

This study presents theoretical frameword of digital transfer in higher education institutions, accordingly analyzes the experience of implementing digital transformation at some leading universities in Asia and Europe in terms of digital infrastructure transformation, training programs and digital platform operations, from which some lessons can be drawn for Vietnam.

Bachelor of Banking is the most outstanding program of Banking Academy of Vietnam. The program proudly educated a lot of bank executives and professional bankers. In the context of digitalization has strongly changed the banking business and the bachelor pedagogy, Banking Faculty, Banking Academy of Vietnam has revised the Bachelor of banking (standard program and advance program) in 2021 and 2022. The paper analyzes the requirements of educating Bachelor of Banking in digitalization context, the recent renovation of Bachelor of Banking by Banking Academy of Vietnam, and some suggestions to increase the education quality. The paper can be a reference for universities in educating Banking and Finance specialization.
