The Formosan subterranean termite, Coptotermes formosanus Shiraki, 1909, is an important structural pest in Mainland China, Japan, Taiwan, Bahamas, and the United States. Coptotermes formosanus was first described in Japanese, and the morphological description was too simple for congeneric species differentiation, resulting in confusion in species identification. To date, ten junior synonyms of C. formosanus have been reported. To avoid further confusion, we redescribed C. formosanus based on the type specimen and the specimens from the type locality, Taiwan. Most of the Coptotermes Wasmann, 1896 taxonomy has been clarified worldwide and the Chinese case remains an outlier, with many species that need to be revised. We further examined the taxonomic statuses of four Chinese species, C. changtaiensis Xia & He, 1986, C. hekouensis Xia & He, 1986, C. shanghaiensis Xia & He, 1986, and C. suzhouensis Xia & He, 1986. We proposed that C. changtaiensis, C. hekouensis, and C. suzhouensis are the junior synonyms of C. formosanus. Even though the morphological characters of C. shanghaiensis are similar to C. formosanus, the body size of the former is significantly smaller. Additional Coptotermes samples collected from the Shanghai area would be required for the taxonomic status of C. shanghaiensis to be confirmed.

Two new species of the tribe Coryphiini Jakobson, 1908 (Omaliinae) from Sichuan are described and illustrated: Archaeoboreaphilus paradoxus sp. nov. and Caloboreaphilus concisus sp. nov. New records of Boreaphilus japonicus Sharp, 1874 and Coryphium taibaiense Li, Li & Zhao, 2007 are given, and some morphological details of these species are illustrated. Boreaphilus japonicus is recorded from Shaanxi for the first time. A distributional map and key to species of Coryphiini of China are provided.

Four species in four genera of Dictyopharidae (Hemiptera: Fulgoromorpha) are recorded from Nepal, including Dictyohimalaya nepalensis Song & Liang, gen. & sp. nov. which is described and illustrated herein, Orthopagus lunulifer Uhler, 1897, Raivuna sp., and Tenguna medogensis Song & Liang, 2007. An identification key to the species of Dictyopharidae currently known from Nepal is provided. The dictyopharid fauna of the country remains poorly studied and further efforts are required to discover its real diversity.

In this paper, I revise the taxonomy of the lace bug genus Agramma Stephens, 1829 (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Tingidae: Tinginae) from Japan. Two species are recognized and re-described: A. japonicum (Drake, 1948) described previously from Japan, and A. abruptifrons Golub, 1990, newly recorded from Japan. The previous records of A. nexile (Drake, 1948) from Japan are confirmed as misidentifications of A. japonicum. The host plant relationship is discussed for A. abruptifrons and A. japonicum. Photographs of living individuals for A. abruptifrons and A. japonicum are presented. A key is provided to facilitate the identification of the two species of Agramma distributed in Japan.

The species is redescribed and illustrated, and a differential diagnosis is given. The former designation of a holotype, paratypes and paratypoids by Jung is invalid because it was not published. In addition, a problem with Tonnoiriella obtusa (Tonnoir, 1919) comb. nov. (= Tonnoiriella anchoriformis Salamanna, 1975 syn. nov.) from Belgium is resolved. A female specimen is designated as a lectotype, but only the dissected wings from this specimen are in condition suitable for redescription. There is additional non-type material collected later by Tonnoir; this material, including 3 females and 1 male, was the basis for redescription, illustrations and differential diagnosis. The unpublished male lectotype designated by Jung is invalid. Two species are added to the last checklist of Psychodidae from Belgium, raising the total number to 94.

A new genus belonging to the cucujoid family Helotidae, Trihelota gen. nov., is described from mid-Cretaceous (ca.99 million years old) amber from Kachin State, northern Myanmar, containing a single species T. fulvata sp. nov. The minute fossil was documented using fluorescence microscopy and X-ray microtomography to reveal fine morphological details. Trihelota is characterised by its transverse head, antennal club about 1.5 times longer than wide, pronotum almost parallel-sided, and elytra not costate. Notably, each elytron possesses three coloured spots, a character unique within Helotidae. The new genus considerably expands the known morphological disparity of Cretaceous helotids. A keyto extinct and extant genera of the family Helotidae is provided along with a checklist of fossil species.

Geotrupes nuntiatus Kohlmann & Arriaga-Jiménez, sp. nov., is described from the Mixteca shield, in the mountains of Oaxaca, Mexico. Its habitat, distribution, and ecology are discussed. The male of Geotrupes lobatus Howden, 1974 is described for the first time. An updated key of the genus for the state of Oaxaca is presented to facilitate identification. Photographs of the specimens, diagnostic features, and their aedeagi, as well as distribution maps, are also included.

Its habitat, distribution, and ecology are discussed. The male of Geotrupes lobatus Howden, 1974 is described for the first time. An updated key of the genus for the state of Oaxaca is presented to facilitate identification. The Japanese and Taiwanese species of the genus CladiscusChevrolat, 1843 are reviewed. Two new species are described: C. hachijoensis sp. nov. from Japan (Hachijôjima Is.) and C. liaoi sp. nov. from Taiwan. Cladiscus pallidicornis Corporaal & van der Wiel, 1949 is recorded for the first time from Japan and C. weyersi Kraatz, 1899 from Taiwan. Cladiscus sanguinicollis (Spinola, 1844) is removed from the Taiwanese fauna, as its records are based on misidentification. The Japanese and Taiwanese members, plus C. thalassinus Murakami, 2017 from Borneo, Malaysia, are divided into two species groups based on the features of male and female genitalia.
