A comparison of Artificial Bee Colony algorithm and the Genetic Algorithm with the purpose of minimizing the total distance for the Vehicle Routing Problem 以总距离最小为目标的人工蜂群算法与遗传算法的比较

: Nowadays, the vehicle routing problem is one of the most important combinational optimization problems and it has received much attention because of its real application in industrial and service-related contexts. It is considered an important topic in the logistics industry and in the field of operations research. This paper focuses on the comparison between two metaheuristics namely the Genetic Algorithm (GA) and the Discrete Artificial Bee Colony (DABC) algorithm in order to solve the vehicle routing problem with a capacity constraint. In the first step, an initial population with good solutions is created, and in the second step, the routing problem is solved by employing the genetic algorithm which incorporates genetic operators and the discrete artificial bee colony algorithm which incorporates neighbourhood operators which are used for improving the obtained solutions. Experimental tests were performed on a set of 14 instances from the literature in the case of which the related number of customers ranges typically from 50 to 200, in order to assess the effectiveness of the two employed approaches. The computational results showed that the DABC algorithm obtained good solutions and a lower computational time in comparison with the GA algorithm. They also indicated that the DABC outperformed the state-of-the-art algorithms in the context of vehicle routing for certain instances.

Soluție pentru planificarea în timp real în sisteme distribuite utilizând algoritmi genetici 基于遗传算法的分布式系统实时规划解决方案

Rezumat: În ultima vreme, sistemele distribuite și-au demonstrat eficiența în procesarea unui număr mare de task-uri într-un timp cât mai redus. În acest context, planificatorul are cea mai mare influență pentru că el gestionează modul în care task-urile respective sunt procesate pe diferite resurse. Ne-am propus tratarea unei probleme de planificare având ca entități principale task-urile și resursele. Între aceste două entități am stabilit anumite constrângeri pentru a modela o problemă reală, iar pentru rezolvarea problemei de planificare am optat pentru dezvoltarea unui algoritm genetic. Pentru evaluarea performanțelor algoritmului am analizat modul în care acesta reușește să diminueze timpul de procesare și în același timp să îndeplinească constrângerile Abstract: In recent times, distributed systems have demonstrated their efficiency in processing a large number of tasks in as little time as possible. In this context, the scheduler has the most influence because it manages how the respective tasks are processed on various resources. We set out to treat a planning problem with tasks and resources as main entities. Between these two entities we established certain constraints to model a real problem, and to solve the planning problem we opted for the development of a genetic algorithm. To evaluate the performance of the algorithm, we analyzed how it manages to reduce the processing time and at the same time fulfill the set constraints. We also analyzed the impact of adding additional resources in the schedule for the same tasks.

Concentration level detection for left/right brain dominance using electroencephalogram signal 利用脑电图信号检测左/右脑优势浓度水平

: Some features of left and right brained people can be determined using the left and right brain dominance theories. It can assist in the development of training syllabus for brain-balancing education topics. When performing any action, human focus or concentration is essential. This paper will examine the concentration levels of patients with left and right brain dominance using electroencephalogram (EEG) data. Brain activity may be tracked and recorded using EEG waves. The human brain's thinking and attention cause brain waves to alter in distinct frequency bands. A frequency-based EEG signal can be cleaned up and characteristics can be extracted using the baseline correction method. As a result, the EEG Topographical Power Spectral Density Value is created. The main objective of this paper is to compare the concentration levels of people with different brain dominance. Inversely, EEG signal can be used to predict whether a person has a left or a right brain dominance.

Implementation of analytical tools in the scientometric platform for the formation of consolidated information 在科学计量平台中实现分析工具,形成综合信息

: The article analyzes the main problems of the scientometric area by the criteria for HEIs scientists carried out using the data mining methods. The main purpose of any research is to share achievements and accomplishments with society. However, each time a scientist publishes a he/she will be curious about how it's being received. Introduction of a category or criteria is a basic component of evaluating any activity, in particular scientific, and allows the unbiased consideration of the activities for building a balanced segmental circle. This approach was chosen to build the Odesa National University of Technology (ONUT) sciencetometric system, which allows researchers to have a quick and easy tool for identifying how much and what type of attention a research output has received. The software was developed in the PyCharm and DataGrip development environment. As a result of the research, a web application was created that fully meets the requirements of Odesa National University of Technology Scientific and Technical Library. The analysis of the subject area is carried out. The database was designed and developed using PostgreSQL DBMS version 10. Software solutions for the tasks were developed in the Atom environment using the Python programming language and the Django framework. The results are methods and functions that organize the operation of the system and the interaction of the application server with the database server.

COVID-19 diagnosis from chest CT scan images using deep learning 利用深度学习从胸部CT扫描图像中诊断新冠肺炎

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has caused nearly 600 million individual infections worldwide and more than 6 million deaths were reported. With recent advancements in deep learning techniques, there have been significant efforts to detect and diagnose COVID-19 from computerized tomography (CT) scan medical images using deep learning. A retrospective study to detect COVID-19 using deep learning algorithms is conducted in this paper. It aims to improve training results of pre-trained models using transfer learning and data augmentation The performance of different models was measured and the difference in performance with and without using data augmentation was computed. Also, a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model was proposed and data augmentation was used to achieve high accuracy ratios. Finally, designed a website that uses the trained models where doctors can upload CT scan images and get COVID-19 classification (https://covid-e46e8.web.app/) was designed. The highest results from pre-trained models without using data augmentation were for DenseNet121, which was equal to 81.4%, and the highest accuracy after using the data augmentation was for MobileNet, which was equal to 83.4%. The rate of accuracy improvement percentage after using data augmentation was about 3%. The conclusion was that data augmentation could improve the accuracy of COVID-19 detection models as it increases the number of samples used to train these models.

Forensic face image generation and recognition 法医人脸图像生成与识别

: One of the toughest Heterogeneous face recognition scenarios, involving the comparison of face images residing in different modalities, is face photo-sketch recognition. In forensic science, face sketch will be used for identification of criminals based on the description provided by the eyewitness. With the latest technologies available, the face sketches are obsolete, and they do not accurately support recognition and identification of criminals. In this work, we propose a system that generates the image of the suspect using the novel Transparent Latent Generative adversarial network (TL-GAN) is proposed. The generated image can be compared with images from the police database, using the DeepFace facial recognition system. The performance of the system has been compared with various CNN models and proved to be performing well.

Rezumat: În ultimii ani, știința deschisă și, în mod specific, accesul liber la publicațiile științifice și datele de cercetare au reprezentat subiecte de interes pentru comunitatea științifică internațională, inclusiv cea din Uniunea Europeană și statele sale membre. În perioada recentă, acest interes a fost amplificat de elaborarea și lansarea programului Orizont Europa și programelor naționale de cercetare și inovare. Pentru țara noastră, Strategia Națională de Cercetare, Inovare și Specializare Inteligentă 2022-2027, adoptată recent, include aceste subiecte între obiectivele sale specifice. În acest context, lucrarea analizează rezultatele obținute de programul Orizont 2020 în implementarea politicii de acces liber pentru publicații și date de cercetare generate de proiectele proprii, evidențiate în raportul final de monitorizare a programului. Sunt prezentate prevederile modelului de acord de grant privind accesul liber și pilotul dedicat datelor de cercetare deschise. Este detaliată tipologia indicatorilor de monitorizare și sunt listați principalii indicatori și valorile acestora. Sunt de Abstract: In recent years, the open science and, specifically, the open access to scientific publications and research data have been topics of interest for the international scientific community, including the European Union and its member states. Recently, this interest has been amplified by the development and launch of the Horizon Europe framework program and national research and innovation programs. For our country, the National Strategy for Research, Innovation and Intelligent Specialization 2022-2027, recently adopted, includes the two topics among its specific objectives. In this context, the paper analyzes the results obtained by the Horizon 2020 program in the implementation of the open access policy for publications and research data generated by its own projects, as highlighted in the final program monitoring report. The provisions of the model grant agreement regarding open access and the pilot dedicated to open research data are presented. The typology of monitoring indicators is detailed and the main indicators and their values are listed. Some conclusions drawn from the accumulated experience, with the aim of improving this activity in Horizon Europe, are reviewed. For this program, the focus on impact-based evaluation of its results is also highlighted. This approach is illustrated by short-, medium- and long-term impact monitoring indicators specific to open science.

Fuzzy sliding mode with adaptive gain control for nonlinear MIMO systems 非线性MIMO系统的模糊滑模自适应增益控制

: In this paper, a fuzzy sliding mode controller (FSMC) with adaptive gain is proposed for a class of MIMO nonlinear systems. The coupled system can be divided into two different subsystems, each of which can be separated into two sliding surfaces created by the state variables. The integration of these two sliding surfaces requires the introduction of an intermediary variable. In order to ensure that the control system is stable, the adaptive gain is derived using the Lyapunov method. The synthesized fuzzy sliding mode control with adaptive gain is applied to an inverted pendulum to illustrate the suggested control technique. The performance and robustness of the proposed controller are compared, terms of time, with those of provided by fuzzy sliding mode controller. This comparison reveals the superiority of the proposed method over the fuzzy sliding mode controller, in terms of the system stabilization and tracking of the trajectory.
