The objective of this paper was to investigate if idiosyncratic volatility could be able to improve the explanation of the returnable prices. For this, the CAPM model of Fama & French was used, and based on works such as Ang et al. (2006) and Leite et al. (2016), the volatility fator was included. The difference of this work is the inclusion of portfolio volatility as well as in the calculation of this one that was obtained using the GJR-GARCH model. The study scope was the Brazilian capital market, between 2007 and 2017. The empirical results showed that the inclusion of volatility improves the explanation of the CAPM model Fama & French, fact evidenced by the sensible increase of adjusted R² of the regressions. In addition, it was noted that volatility, when significant, had an opposite relationship with return. When comparated, idiosyncratic volatility was further explained as explaining returns compared to market volatility, which indicates that the information on the montage of portfolios and their oscillations of individual returns seem to be more relevant than market movement, a result that becomes relevant both for hedging and for the search for maximization of returns by investors.

This article aims to identify the economic value drivers for Brazilian agricultural cooperatives. To this end, we analyzed the potential value drivers for agricultural cooperatives in Paraná and Rio Grande do Sul using panel data regression, considering data from 2008 to 2016. The results showed that net margin, basic purchasing power, investment in fixed assets, circulating assets X sales margin, fixed asset turnover, net revenue, and number of members are the economic value drivers for Brazilian agricultural cooperatives. Moreover, a dynamic panel based on generalized method of moments (GMM) was used to check the robustness of the relationships. With these results, managers and members of agricultural cooperatives can focus their efforts and decisions on maximizing economic value for associated farmers.

Sustainable development in the information technology industry is known as Green IT. Considering the need to generate consistent and sustainable IT projects, this paper presents a study on how Green IT criteria are used in the portfolio selection of information technology infrastructure projects. Method used was the multiple case studies, characterized by a qualitative evaluation. Object of this work was composed of sustainable companies whose shares are traded on the stock exchange, considering sustainability indexes. In addition to analysing the project portfolio management process, this work identified ten criteria that can be used to select information technology projects. We found that these criteria are not cost generators, but act on the tripod of cost reduction, maintenance or performance improvement and sustainability.

Corruption, defined as the abuse of public power for private gain, has been the subject of theoretical and empirical studies in recent International Business literature. In order to contribute empirically to this topic, the purpose of this paper is to analyze the effects of corruption on the choice of international entry mode and on the performance of emerging MNE subsidiaries operating in other emerging economies. Based on a quantitative approach, and using the panel data regression technique for a sample of 657 Multinational Subsidiaries, we found evidence on the negative impacts of corruption on the performance of emerging country subsidiaries operating in other emerging countries. In addition, the study points to the moderating effect of the joint venture entry mode on the relationship between corruption and performance.

Conclusions.

Motivated by an agenda for empirical research on decisions, we seek to understand how an issue or idea is labelled as a "decision". Based on the relational ontology, we used the Actor-Network Theory as a theoretical frame, and particularly the translation perspective. In order to understand the "process of formation and stabilization of decisions" focused on what makes actors act, we conducted an ethnographic study in a social enterprise for 30 months. Through narrative analysis, we propose the (trans)formative trajectories of decisions in which we describe the trajectory of these hybrid entities achieving the status of relative fixity labelled as "the decision". We understand the trajectory as an ongoing translation journey; thus, we tracked decisions in their trajectories of translation, packaging and legitimation. The elements of the organizational decision-making are re-signified as performative texts, which enter the network of relations. Therefore, decisions are (trans)formed on a journey of mediation among multiple actants. When objectified as crystallized texts, the decisions become performative, because they start to organize and participate in the constitution of the ongoing reality. This theoretical framework allowed us to extend the processual understanding of decision-making aligned with the relational ontology and the time-process perspective.

Knowledge generation (CG), organizational structure (OE) and strategic orientation (OE) are three central aspects for the functioning and performance of small and medium-sized companies (SMEs), since their sustainability is significantly related to their operational results. However, it is not yet clear how the different aspects of the SME organizational structure impact KM. And little is known about how SME strategic guidelines (OEs) moderate these same relationships. In this article, we discovered (1) the influence of different aspects of SMEs' OEs on the capacity of KM and (2) the way in which different OEs moderate these relationships. For this, we employ structural equation modeling (SEM) in the data, obtained through online research (Qualtrics), of 219 North American SMEs. Among the most important results is the positive and counterintuitive impact of formalizing OE in KM, regardless of PM OE; as well as the positive moderation of potential OE in the various relationships tested. Departmentalization, on the other hand, showed a strong negative influence on KM. These results provide important insights for SME managers when indicating how they can increase KM in their business by matching their OE and OE. The theoretical contribution of this study comes from the identification of the established relationships until then little explored in the literature between OE, OE and GC in the scope of SMEs. Finally, the results of the study indicate new avenues of research for investigations in the field of SMEs.

In strategic management, the Stakeholder Theory proclaims that in order to achieve better performance and sustainable competitive advantage, the organization has to treat each of its stakeholders fairly. Hence, the concept of justice becomes relevant in assessing the effectiveness of managerial decisions and is ingrained in the Stakeholder Theory literature. This paper aims to examine how the notion of justice is conceptualized and applied in the Stakeholder Theory literature; and to propose new avenues of research regarding the interconnections between these two subjects. We present a systematic literature review to synthesize the research in the area. A careful screening held in April 2019, resulted in 75 papers published in 35 journals from 1999 to 2019. The results were presented in two phases. First, in the form of a descriptive and bibliometric analysis of the selected papers. Second, by reviewing those papers, we offer a framework of how the notion of justice has been conceptualized and applied in the Stakeholder Theory literature. Finally, we propose an agenda for future research regarding the interconnection between justice and Stakeholder Theory.
