ABSTRACT Mollinedia arianeae Lírio & M.Pignal, sp. nov. (Mollinedieae, Mollinedioideae, Monimiaceae): a new microendemic species from the Atlantic Forest in Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil. In this paper we describe Mollinedia arianeae Lírio & M.Pignal, sp. nov., a new microendemic species from the Itatiaia National Park, at the Rio de Janeiro state, Brazil. The new species is most similar to M. jorgearum Peixoto and M. leucantha Molz & D.Silveira, being differentiated of them mainly by the habit, shape and colour of leaves when dried, type and indumentum of inflorescence, shape of the receptacle and margin of tepals shape in staminate flowers. We provide a morphological description, a comparison with related species, geographic distribution, comments on ecology and a preliminary extinction risk assessment. Beyond the academic readership, we believe that it is essential to promote science, technology and education in Brazil. We therefore also propose a summary in Portuguese intended for amateur botanists and students who may be interested in this work.

ABSTRACT Based on several field surveys and on the study of original material, we have identified three new species of Orobanche L. s.s. (Orobanchaceae) new to the flora of Tunisia. Orobanche alba Willd., O. calendulae Pomel, and O. gracilis Sm. are reported as new for the country, and the occurrence of O. rapum-genistae Thuill. is confirmed. The lectotypification of O. rapum-genistae is here proposed with a specimen housed in Genève (G). The geographical distribution of the four taxa in Tunisia is given, and details of habitats and hosts are provided. Altogether, the genus Orobanche in Tunisia now includes 18 species; a dichotomous key is proposed to facilitate the identification of these taxa.

ABSTRACT A new species of Meryta (Araliaceae) from the Tuamotu Archipelago, French Polynesia. A new species of Araliaceae, Meryta puruhi Butaud, J.Florence, Lowry & F.Tronchet, sp. nov., endemic to the raised atolls of Anaa and Niau in the Tuamotu archipelago, French Polynesia, is described. Based on floral and fruit morphology, it clearly belongs to Meryta sect. Meryta Harms, which has been circumscribed to include species whose female flowers and fruits are appressed at the base. It most closely resembles M. lanceolata J.R.Forst. & G.Forst. and M. raiateensis J.W.Moore from the Society archipelago, with which it shares a similar inflorescence structure and free, basally appressed ovaries. It can be distinguished by its leaf shape (obovate to spatulate in M. puruhi, sp. nov. vs lanceolate to oblong in M. lanceolata and M. raiateensis) and the number of carpels [(7-)8-11 in M. puruhi sp. nov. vs 4-6(-7) in the other species]. This new species, the sole representative of the genus in the Tuamotu group, is threatened in part of its range by urban development and by the disappearance of the single bird species that serves as a disseminator, and has been assessed as Endangered [EN] according to the IUCN Red List criteria.

ABSTRACT While New Caledonia is known as a centre of plant endemism, its fern flora has been under-studied. Recent collections of Ptisana Murdock, a genus often poorly represented in herbaria due to their large size, enabled new molecular phylogenetic investigation and a reassessment of previously proposed taxonomies based on morphology. Sequence data from the endangered (EN) dwarf species P. rolandi-principis (Rosenst.) Christenh. are obtained for the first time and confirm that it is genetically distinct and warrants recognition at the species level. Previous studies suggested that the widespread South Pacific species P. salicina (Sm.) Murdock was present in New Caledonia. However, revised analyses indicate that the New Caledonian plants are an endemic species, recognised here for the first time at the species rank as Ptisana soluta (Compton) Murdock & Perrie, comb. nov., stat. nov., with a vulnerable (VU) conservation ranking. The most common species, the New Caledonian endemic P. attenuata (Labill.) Murdock, is shown to be genetically variable, and warrants further systematic and phylogeographic investigation.

ABSTRACT In this study, the cypsela micro-macromorphological characteristics of 15 Centaurea L. taxa, from the seven sections from Turkey were investigated using Light Microscopy and Scanning Electron Microscopy techniques. The studied taxa are C. goksivriensis M. Bona, C. calcitrapa subsp. calcitrapa L., C. calcitrapa subsp. cilicica (Boiss. & Bal.) Wagenitz, C. glastifolia L., C. amanicola Hub.-Mor., C. cataonica Boiss. & Hausskn. in Boiss., C. haradjianii Wagenitz, C. haussknechtii Boiss., C. regia Boiss. var. regia, C. sclerolepis Boiss., C. spicata Boiss., C. solstitialis L., C. behen L., C. rigida Banks & Sol., and C. antitauri Hayek. They belong to sections Acrocentron (Cassini) DC., Calcitrapa (Heister ex Fabr.) DC., Chartolepis (Cass.) DC, Cynaroides Boiss., Mesocentron (Cass.) DC, Microlophus (Cass.) DC., Pseudophaeopappus Wagenitz. Cypsela characteristics such as shape, size, colour, and surface pattern, hair structure, length, and colour of pappus are studied. Cypselas are 1.99 to 9.95 mm long and their width is between 1.01 and 3.73 mm. The pappus is 2.21 to 3.16 mm long. The pappus is generally straw-coloured, brown or whitish and barbellate but C. goksivriensis distinguished by its purple pappus and C. glastifolia by its plumose pappus. C. calcitrapa subsp. calcitrapa and C. calcitrapa subsp. cilicica do not have pappus. Scanning Electron Microscope analysis shows five different cypsela surface patterns for the studied species: reticulate, smooth, undulate, smooth-undulate, undulate-ruminate. A key to the taxa has been provided on the basis of these characteristics. DC., Pseudophaeopappus Wagenitz. ABSTRACT We present a list of tree species of French Guiana, based on data collected from herbarium specimens and tree inventories, and verified against all available taxonomic literature to date. The list contains 1811 taxa representing 87 families and 421 genera, including 143 unnamed species which either may be species not previously recorded in French Guiana, or taxa new to Science. Original demographic data such as global abundance, local maximum frequency and geographic dispersion, are given for the 1293 species present in tree inventories. Our work has led to the recognition of certain taxonomic and nomenclatural novelties, including a new combination in Lecythis Loefl. (Lecythidaceae), several lectotypifications and new synonyms, as well as reinstatement of Sloanea acutiflora Uittien (Elaeocarpaceae), Eugenia sinemariensis Aubl. (Myrtaceae), and four species of Inga (Leguminosae). In addition, we provide the most comprehensive list available to date of corresponding vernacular names (4354 for 1157 species) in nine languages spoken in French Guiana: Palikur, Kali'na, Teko, Wayãpi, Wayana, Nengee tongo (Aluku/Ndjuka/Paramaka), Creole, French, and Brasilian Portuguese. The checklist is complemented by indexes of exsiccata, vernacular names and scientific names. The introductory part is available in French and English.

Schltr. (avril). ABSTRACT Taxonomic revision of twelve species of the genus Cynorkis Thouars (Orchidaceae, Habenariinae) from Reunion Island, based on a morphological and ecological approach. Many species, described by Frappier in the genus Hemiperis, now a synonym of Cynorkis, pose a taxonomic problem because the type specimens are considered lost or they were described from living material only. Based on a population-level ecological study, we here conclude that 12 out of the 21 Hemiperis taxa proposed by Frappier should be reduced to two. C. brachycentra (Frapp.) Schltr., C. crispa (Frapp.) Schltr., C. globulosa (Frapp.) Schltr., C. ludens (Frapp.) Schltr. and C. simplex (Frapp.) Hermans & P.J.Cribb are proposed as synonyms of Cynorkis pleiadea (Frapp.) Schltr., whereas C. breviplectra (Frapp.) Schltr., C. clavata (Frapp.) Schltr., C. imbellis (Frapp.) Hermans & P.J.Cribb, C. nitida (Frapp.) Schltr., C. ringens (Frapp.) Schltr. are proposed as synonyms of Cynorkis constellata (Frapp.) Schltr.. A neotype is proposed for C. pleiadea (Frapp.) Schltr., and a lectotype for C. constellata (Frapp.) Schltr. These two remaining taxa can be differentiated on the basis of the presence or absence of glandular hairs and, to a lesser extent, on a difference in their ecological niche. Cynorkis pleiadea (Frapp.) Schltr. usually occurs at a lower altit
Cynorkis brachycentra (Frapp.)Schltr。, C. crispa (Frapp.)Schltr。, C. globulosa (Frapp.)Schltr。, C. ludens (Frapp.)Schltr。 而C. breviplectra (Frapp.)Schltr。, C. clavata (Frapp.)Schltr。, Cynorkis imbellis (Frapp.)Hermans & P.J.Cribb, C. nitida (Frapp.)Schltr。和C. ringens (Frapp.)Schltr。 Cynorkis pleiadea (Frapp.)Schltr。 Schltr。发生在C. pleiadea (Frapp.)之前(3月)Schltr。(4)。 in the Many品种、歌》by Frappier)属Hemiperis . now,同义词of Cynorkis,铺设了分类的问题因为在are the type试样好lost or they were歌from living material only。 C. brachycentra (Frapp.)Schltr。, C. crispa (Frapp.)Schltr。, C. globulosa (Frapp.)Schltr。, C. ludens (Frapp.)Schltr。和C. simplex (Frapp.) Schltr。,其中C. breviplectra (Frapp.)Schltr。, C. clavata (Frapp.)Schltr。, C. imbellis (Frapp.)Hermans & P.J.Cribb, C. nitida (Frapp.)Schltr。, C. ringens (Frapp.)Schltr。 Schltr… Schltr。 Cynorkis pleiadea (Frapp.)Schltr。 Schltr。 Schltr。(April)。

ABSTRACT Lepidagathis decumbens N. Dhatchan. & S. Soosairaj, sp. nov. is described and illustrated here from Eastern Ghats of Tamil Nadu, Southern India. This new species is closely allied to L. diffusa C.B. Clarke but differs by erect and decumbent habit, short internodes, long unilateral spikes, glandular sericeous floral parts, and ovoid seeds. Photographs of habit, spikes and flowers, pollen grains, seed SEM are provided, in addition leaf and stem anatomy are compared between the new and allied species and key of Lepidagathis Willd. in Tamil Nadu for easy identification is also provided. RÉSUMÉ Lepidagathis decumbens N. Dhatchan. & S. Soosairaj, sp. nov. ABSTRACT Morphology of glands and trichomes of Matthiola W.T.Aiton species in the Flora Iranica area was examined using stereomicroscope and scanning electron microscope to evaluate their systematic significance and assess infrageneric relationships. The study demonstrated that the general features of the glands and trichomes were constant among different populations of a given species, but they exhibited useful variability in the delimitation of species and their grouping. Reliably diagnostic features include gland-stalk length; distribution of trichome types and glands on various organs; trichome and gland densities; and trichome rays number, length and thickness. Our results confirm the removal of Matthiola alyssifolia (DC.) Bornm. from the genus. The species was unique in the distribution of trichomes types and glands on various organs such as stems, pedicels, sepals, and leaves. Other important aspects include the presence vs. absence of glands and trichomes, distribution of simple and 2-4-rayed trichomes and glands on abaxial (vs both) leaf surfaces and leaf margin, and connation of gland stalks. Finally, based on the examination of type specimens and closer studies of trichomes, glands, and other morphological features Matthiola graminea Rech.f. is reduced to synonymy of Matthiola ghorana Rech.f.
Bornm。 La morphologies des glandes and des trichomes des espectromes de Matthiola w.t.a iata de La zone couverte par La Flora Iranica a samest - comest est - achim - comest est - achim - achim - achim - achim - achim - achim - achim - achim - achim - achim - achim - achim - achim - achim - achim - achim - achim - achim - achim - achim - achim - achim - achim - achim - achim - achim - achim - achimL' danci.99cha.com - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -卡罗拉西拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西-卡罗拉西。 Bornm。 Enfin, sur the base of the spsamcimens types, et d' csamsamens加上profides of tric三月份,des腺体和de ' res caracacsamristiques morphologiques, Matthiola graminea reches .f。
